Not sure if anyone really has had EVERY bagel in central florida but it has become more popular in the past couple years where I've seen more pop up. There are definitely more donut shops than bagel shops. I love that this place is very big and you can actually eat here. The bagels are reallly good but the breakfasts are really big and the prices are great. Nothing is not worth the price for the amount you get. The potatoes are the shit so make sure you get those!! Most of the breakfasts come with a bagel and you can pick one of their many spreads. I had the egg bagel with cinnamon butter spread and the chicken friend steak. So good. RUN to get this garlic rosemary Parmesan bagel with egg and cheese. It's only $5.25 and SO AMAZING. I walked in and ordered it to go and was walking back out again in ten minutes. Everyone is so nice here and if you're going to stay awhile they have free WiFi and unlimited coffee refills. Met up with a friend for a quick lunch here. This place has been around for a really long time. They have a pretty extensive menu with fun diner fare. Since we were there for lunch I didn't end up getting bagels however their tuna sandwich was incredible! Got it with a side of fries and omg they were so good and not too greasy. We really enjoy bagel king. We have been going for over 15 years and since we moved back to this side of town have been just enjoying it all over again. The service is great they let you pick were you take a seat and have a drink bar to help yourself which is nice as they have a nice selection of coffee. The server was nice and gave a recommendation of her favorite that wasn't in the menu. It was delicious! Jalapeño galore and made sure we had everything we needed for the rest of the meal. I stopped by because I was craving a breakfast sandwich and I have to say that I was a little disappointed. I got an Andy's Special on an Asiago bagel and the bagel was a bit burnt; however, the contents of the sandwich was cooked as expected. I only took off one star because this restaurant typically delivers well cooked food so this experience was an exception to the rule. Love this place! It has been a while since I have been here since we've moved further from it. But my wife and I stopped to dine in. It's as close as a NY Jewish bagel shop that you'll likely find in the area. The good stuff: bagels are great! I always like to order the Andy's special which is a Barack fast sandwich on a bagel - I ordered it this time and it was fantastic! They don;t skimp, it's a nice full size bagel sandwich wrapped regardless if you are dining in or taking it to go. The place is almost always crowded and it is a little confusing on if you should sit, go to the counter or what......they restaurant could help with a few signs to make customer's experience better. We sat outside because the weather was nice and enjoyed our breakfast. This helped with the noise levels as well b/c inside can have a higher noise level. Bottom line. Real "New York" bagels in Central Florida? Fool me once unnamed place! But Bagel King is the real deal. I thought it would be just a bagel counter but nope, BK is a little NY style diner serving up breakfast and lunch. The place was PACKED so it must be pretty good. I went with a plain bagel. Call me old fashioned! But this thing was perfect. Great firm chew on the outside and then soft, but not pillowy, on the inside. Not dense. Not overly soft. It was just right. Having recently been in NJ at a very good bagel shop, Bagel King stacks up solidly and would be at home in NY/NJ/PA easily. I will never be the Duke of Bagel King! Bagels seem like the next big thing in Orlando. It's so hard to find a good one. I enjoyed the bagel here, but it was by no means the best. It had a big hole (who likes that?), not very much Everything seasoning (look at the pathetic coverage), and didn't have that chew that I like (to each their own). Biting it was too easy! It would make a good sandwich bagel, but as a bagel bagel, it was sub-par. Now that Veggie Cream Cheese!!!!!!!!!! That was off the chain good! It saved the mediocre bagel from being tossed in the trash (Ok, I wouldn't do that). The price was good though at $1.50 per bagel. I think it was under $3 with the cream cheese (which as different price points) The place was odd. It's a sit down restaurant and ordering at the counter is for "to go" orders. I wouldn't have felt right sitting at a table and ordering a bagel w/ cream cheese, so I ordered to go and sat outside (illegally, as those are for dine-in only) to eat my bagel. I am a Jersey girl through and through. Jersey has a great selection of great bagel shops. If you want a really good quality bagel, Bagel King is definitely the place to go. Slightly crisp exterior and soft, chewy interior is the way to have a bagel made. They have a good assortment of bagels to choose from, including bialys and even a gluten free bagel. There are plenty of selections of shmears to suit just about any palate. There's a self-serve coffee/beverage bar that includes hazelnut coffee (my favorite) with actual coffee mugs!! They have sandwiches and platters for breakfast and lunch. I personally have only gone for the bagels with one of the 2 lox shmears they offer. If you want bagels that will remind you of the kind you'd get in NY or NJ, this place IS the place to go. read more

They have the best options, they are usually well-stocked, and everything is delicious. I've been coming here for about 20 years, and I've seen many iterations of this place - but they always manage to keep what counts. And the people are friendly too! We went to the bagel king for the first time today and everything we had was absolutely delicious! The bagels were fresh and the cream cheese was amazing. I had eggs with turkey sausage, a wild berry bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a side of home fries. All absolutely amazing! I also can't forget to mention how delicious the coffee is!! I love that they had different flavor options and fresh cold creamer instead of those yucky little room temperature creamer containers that restaurants typical have sitting on the table. Bagel King was recommended to me by some friends who live in town. It is tucked in the main shopping center. I ordered 3 bagels to-go, two with butter and one with cream cheese. I was disappointed when I got home that the cream cheese was put on the wrong bagel. Having a picky eater, he would not eat the bagel. Huge bummer.
