I pass this restaurant all the time and knew I had to stop in some day. It is located in a small plaza next to a convenience store with a small parking lot. My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday morning to grab breakfast. I appreciated the vibe of the space. It really felt homey inside. There was a handle of small tables along the side to sit at so it's probably best for to go food. I looked in the cases and decided upon a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I was so in the mood for berries. The bagel was nicely toasted with a decent amount of cream cheese. The strawberry cream cheese had huge pieces of strawberries throughout. It was different than your everyday bagel, in all the good ways. My boyfriend got the last cinnamon sugar bagel they had with plain cream cheese and was satisfied with his order. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate inside and I was able to watch the customers come in and staff make their orders. I did see alot of microwave usage which was not the greatest in my book. Eggs are not for the microwave. I would probably stick to just toasted bagel with cream cheese. read more

What a great find! I am new to the area and went looking for a different bagel spot and came across bagel king! They had so many different schmear and bagel options! I was so excited to try the bruschetta cream cheese and it did not disappoint! They have a cool deal where you get a bagel and two different schmear options for $5! I do the rosemary parm bagel (YUM) and the nova chunky schmear and bruschetta schmear. Both were great!!! IITS a cute place with great and helpful service! Parking is right out front. 3 Stars for kind service, an array of bakes goods and homemade spreads, but an egg and cheese bagel that didn't hit the spot :-/ I really really wanted to love Bagel King. Everything from its divey location by a convenient store, to its nostalgic photos and vibe, I was ready to be obsessed. Things I loved were the great array of baked good options including potato knish, hamantaschen, and cinnamon buns. I love that you can also buy their homemade cream cheese and whipped butter spreads too! Unfortunately, this egg and cheese bagel sandwich was pretty bland. They microwaved the eggs, which weren't seasoned at all, and the provolone I added (a premium substitution for American cheese) was equally lackluster. The blueberry bagel itself was slim and pillowy, and probably fabulous with cream cheese (given the saltiness of cc), but with the unseasoned eggs it fell flat. Overall, I would definitely go back and try a bagel with cream cheese, but probably would skip the egg and cheese. read more

Fantastic experience! Family-owned and have always visited their store in Casselberry on Semoran until we were going to the Lake Baldwin VA to volunteer to help our veterans. Such friendly people and seriously the best bagels in town. I won't even stop at Brooklyn Water Bagels since having Bagel King. Excellent breakfast! Be back soon. The herb and garlic cream cheese is delicious and is yummy on many things other than bagels. The egg salad was a good addition! The strawberry cream cheese isn't too sweet but def sweet on. Was in the area so decided to give them a try. The bad part of going towards the end of their operating hours is they had limited amounts of bagel flavors, sesame, onion and everything. We ordered one sesame bagel with nova shmear, one everything bagel with nova shmear ($3.99 each), a large knish ($2.50) and coffee. They were very generous with the shmear and the bagels were fresh and tasted great. It is easy to miss them if you are not from this area, but they are located next to the Kwik Stop. I was so excited at the possibility of a good bagel stop. I left for work early to be able to stop on my way and try one for breakfast. What a disappointment. It is a little shop with a few tables inside. If your not looking for it you will pass right by. The gentleman behind the counter is just going through the motions. Talks to you but not very friendly. The bagel is a round version of white bread. The cinnamon raisin had a few raisins but was mostly just bread with a slight hint of cinnamon. He did toast the inside but the outside was so squishy and soft. Nothing like a true bagel. The cream cheese tasted a little sour. The container he retrieved the cream cheese from was almost empty and the sides were crusty at 7:15am. Makes me wonder if it sat out all day put away and then taken back out the next day(s). Let me begin by saying the actual bagel is decent. Its soft with a nice crispy outside. I would also like to say that I didn't get a schmear of cream cheese. I chose a bacon egg and cheese. Bad choice! The egg is a microwaved, and had an off putting taste. Not good! I don't know why they would do this. The people working there seemed approachable and were even being real talkative and friendly to the guy in front of me. When it was my turn that changed. The lady was rude and appeared to be bothered by me. I am Latino and have a darker tan than the other customers. Make your own assumptions. These bagels definitely are king. With several varieties of bagels and cream cheese, Bagel King has something for every taste. Personally, I prefer more of a savory bagel than a sweet one, so I ordered the breakfast special and it was to die for. But if you like sweet bagels, they have those as well! Our orders came out relatively fast and they were nice and warm. The bagels were perfectly toasted. The service was good and the employees were friendly. Great local gem. I was craving a lox bagel so I made my way to Bagel King. Great fresh bagels and a selection of spreads ranging from savory to sweet options. The nova lox really hit the spot. I opted for my favorite-the everything bagel. It was just right, a hint of saltiness and all the seeds. The lox tasted fresh. Maybe I was just really hungry, but it really felt like a flavor explosion. It maybe could have used a tiny bit more cream cheese, but it was still really good. This is a hidden gem. We almost walked out as we arrived around 11 and not many bagels left. So glad we stayed. The bagels were so good. I was craving a good bagel. This place was super packed and their desserts was amazing! If you are picking up a bagel make sure to grab a dessert! Now, my lox was beyond salty that I couldn't finish it and the bacon egg and cheese was not up to par. We ordered over easy eggs and they cut the bagels and it lost all of the liquid which made the bagel stick to the paper. I then ordered a Cream cheese and jelly bagel and they forgot the jelly. You can tell these bagels are homemade but there's something missing for me. They do cut the bagels in half and then grill the inside. I like the crunch that adds but I would prefer my bagel to toasted. The dough itself is a little bland, but the raisins in my cinnamon raisin bagel were very sweet. You should try and come early because around 11:30 Saturday morning there was an extremely limited selection. The only early work gets the bagel! Their vegetable cream cheese has big chunks of broccoli and carrots, I get on an everything bagel, which only costs about 3.00 and fills me up.
