It had a decent amount of meat and the cheese was nicely melted. The cold toppings were a plenty. I don't frequent Firehouse Subs often but would again for this sub. Easy solid four or more. I've got a good friend who prefers this location so this is where we go when we do lunch sometimes. It's solid. You know, I remember when they were starting out in Jacksonville back in the 90s when cherry limeade and that datil pepper sauce was their thing, set them apart. Do they even have cherry limeade any more? Haven't seen the limes out in years. Part of the reason I don't do them on my own anymore is the sandwiches have shrunk up. You've really got to order extra meat or flip half of the fillings over to the other half to get a nice solid sandwich out of them. This store made my day. I was coming in for an Uber pickup order and realized I was at the wrong location since they didn't have an order prepared. Olivia immediately offered to make the order so I wouldn't have to drive to the Apopka location. This not only saved me time, but also gas money as well. I should have gotten a cold sub lol I wasn't impressed with the Turkey, bacon and Ranch sub I ordered. The cashier was friendly and she even checked when I asked about peanuts/nuts being used in any of the food. It was busy but it still wasn't a very long wait. The sub just wasn't special. We were on our way to the movie and stopped at the firehouse for delicious sandwiches to take with us. Although I had a bad experience with them years ago, I took another chance and ordered two hot veggie subs hoping that their no grill but a deep steamer would melt the cheese on our sandwich. After waiting 15 minutes, they finished our order with only one couple before ours. Since we had no time to look at each sandwich, I asked if they put in jalapeno & Jerk seasoning, and they said no and gave us to-go containers. Unfortunately, once we arrived at the movie, we found two cold sandwiches smothered in mayonnaise with little mushroom and other veggies, no mustard, and cold cheese on a hard roll that tasted horrible, so we trashed the rest. I've been here multiple times in the past but they definitely messed up today. I ordered online and I was excited to eat here because my dad likes this place. Well my order was late.... I ordered at 11:22 and the eta said 11:50-12:00. It got here at 12:15. No big deal until... my order was WRONG! I called the store and spoke to a young lady and she said sorry, we had a big order before you... I'm sorry but that's no excuse especially when I spent almost $40. Never been to this location but after a really busy day I just wanted to pick up something simple for dinner on my way home. I usually get the same thing at every Firehouse and always love it. This time it was okay. Personally, I felt the bread was a bit too toasted and burnt a bit so it made the bread harder to eat and I love my sub with a lot of veggies, however they didn't include all the veggies I had stated (didn't realize it until I was already home) and even what they did put was almost nothing. It was still good to an extent so I would probably give it another shot at some point. Hopefully next time it'll be better. read more

There is only two of us and 8 sandwiches ahead of you. We just had probably the worst service at the OTHER Longwood / Altamonte store (not this store) , worst service and treatment we have ever had at an any establishment ever. We called this specific location since it's still close by to see if we could place our order in before they closed, and when the manager heard what happened to us at the other location he directed us to his owner, Scott. Even though it was not Scott's responsibility bc not his mistake, he treated us first class, begged us to let him make it up to us bc at the end of the day "Firehouse is a brand and it's important to make it right no matter who's mistake it is". He took our order himself, and made our night. And a bonus, the food was FANTASTIC!!! All of the subs , delicious! Thank you Scott and your staff! Your store will be our new regular spot. read more

Firehouse is my favorite of the chain sub places. Service is pretty friendly, the shop is bright and clean and the subs are delicious. They also have the fun Coke freestyle machine which lets you mix and match hundreds of soda and drink combinations. I'm pretty sad they temporarily discontinued the Hawaiian pork sandwich and have had to fall back on the Engineer sub as my backup. I'm looking forward to July when the Hawaiian pork makes its comeback. You've got to try it and tell me if it's not one delicious sandwich! read more

Firehouse makes some of THE best subs around, hands down, don't argue with me cause I'm not listenin'! The loads of savory meat packed into that soft, warm sub roll keeps me coming back. They have a list of signature subs, but my favorite is the Firehouse Hero which has roast beef, smoked turkey, honey ham, & provolone cheese. If you ask for it "Fully Involved" you get mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, & a pickle on the side. I always add bacon & have Italian dressing drizzled on the top because I'm just extra when it comes to my food, okay. *tummy rumbles* I think I know what I'm having for lunch today. read more

I came in around 6:15. Only one guy was sitting down eating. I ordered two sandwiches, guy specifically asked I wanted the first one hot or cold. I told him cold. Sandwich came steaming hot and bread felt like they toasted it too. I ordered two sandwiches and it took at least ten minutes to get the sandwiches. The sandwich i ordered for myself was a 12" large but the meat stopped at the end leaving 2" of only bread. Not sure if it was a lack of knowledge of making the sandwich or a just lack of care. Seems these guys are more focused on uber eats and other food delivery services who pickup from them from what i year. The meat quality is terrible in my opinion. I am an Uber eats driver. I came in to pick up an order around 9:10pm. The attendant Jeremy was the one I spoke to when trying to pick up the order. He told me 5 minutes. About 15 minutes go by and and a couple walks in as well take get food. I asked him could he give me an ETA on mine. He said "what order" I stated the Uber eats order I inquired about 10 minutes ago. He then melts down and proceeds to start cursing at me. I was a bit taken back. I said excuse me? He still continued to spew profanities as he slams the food on the counter. I told him that is no way to speak to customer and he said he didn't give a ****. I told him I would be reaching out to corporate and he stormed off. There was another gentleman there. He wasn't rude at all. I asked him for the corporate number . He said he had just started working there. The couple that also came in to get food were also very thrown off by his angry outburst. I surely hope that this type of behavior is not condoned by the owner. read more
