Being an AZ native, I have been making trips to Flagstaff my whole life. This is one of these restaurants that I have wanted to visit for some time. I mostly visit Flagstaff to ski and those are usually one-day turnaround trips. I rarely have time to do a sit-down dinner. But I was staying in town recently and we came by here on a rainy night to celebrate my bday. Pizzicletta has been around for some time and is located just south of the railroad tracks. They also have a location over at Dark Sky Brewing Co. Pizzicletta makes made-to-order Neapolitan pizzas. They have a variety of pizza creations on their menu. They also make their own gelato. We started our evening with a Burrata Caprese - a favorite of mine. I had my eye on their Diavola pizza while looking at the menu. It has both chili oil and honey pecorino to make it both sweet and spicy. Our server recommended adding pesto to it which was a great suggestion. I ended my night with a coffee gelato. Our overall Pizzicletta experience was wonderful. Seating here at Pizzicletta is limited so be prepared to wait a little. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
A must try spot for wood fired pizza lovers! A very small interior of the restaurant, but my sister and i were able to be seated quickly at the community table! We shared their special which was a pepperoni pizza with peppers, as well as their mixed green salad. They serve gelato flights which is the perfect sweet treat finisher, and a fun way to get to try different flavors!
Tiny restaurant so I rec planning ahead! Service was good! We a few pizzas but the Diavola was the best!
My favorite vegan pizza ever! We got the Veganara and added mushrooms. The housemade ricotta and pesto are phenomenal. We also enjoyed the vegan salted caramel gelato. Service was top notch and although it's very small inside, it was plenty comfortable.
We've enjoyed Pizzicletta dozens of times inside Dark Sky Brewing, but this was the first time we had the pleasure of dining at the actual Pizzicletta restaurant. We lucked out with some gorgeous weather a few weeks back, so dining on the patio was very enjoyable, particularly with the cozy string lights on overhead. It was super packed, but some of the couples ahead of us rejected the tiny bar counter and stools at the end of the smaller patio; since those seats didn't bother us we were seated immediately! I don't remember the name of our waitress, but she was very friendly. She immediately brought us a water carafe and two glasses. She was back in under 5 minutes to take our order and our food came out super fast. We began with the Mixed Greens Salad with Chevre & Pine Nuts. The portion was generous and the salad was absolutely delicious. They let the flavor of the chevre & pine nuts really shine through by adding a very light olive oil based dressing. We then shared our favorite pizza, the Diavola, which was delicious as always. Their pizza crust is some of the best in the western U.S. I love the convenience of enjoying Pizzicletta at Dark Sky, but I think we'll be coming to this location from now on. We loved the ambiance and slightly expanded menu offered here. Plus, grabbing drinks two doors down at Mother Road before/after is an added bonus!
Great servers. Small restaurant. We decided to eat outside since the weather was absolutely brillant. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. Pepperoni pizza had little pepperoni slices that curled up on the wastes so they were crunchy. Yum! The crust on the edge was really good. The centre of the pizza was soggy, which was sad. There were four large slices per pizza. The chocolate gelato was average and the scoop small.
My husband and I really enjoyed the veganara pizza with house made cashew cheese and pesto. There was lots of both on the pizza and it was delicious. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!
The best pizza I've ever tasted. Fast & great service. We got a pizza to go because it was THAT good.
We went to the original location - it doesn't have much seating on the inside and was quoted a wait for 40 minutes on a Sunday night. We opted to sit outside on the patio - there are heaters but it's not super strong - however, the staff was super accommodating about it! This location doesn't have a Ceasar salad but we ordered the mixed greens one and enjoyed it. I liked the crisp of the pizza and the notes of honey that would come through. I won't say this is my favorite - but I would consider it a solid place!
The flavors and textures here are perfect. The pizza dough was chewy and crispy all at the same time, everything was perfect. The plate of tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and bread was definitely worth getting. The service was excellent, everyone was nice. The inside was like walking into a cozy pizza corner in Italy, it was an intimate type of space. 10/10 recommend!
We're so happy to try this place and get a little after opening for a seat! They get busy on weekends so be aware but the pizza comes out extremely fast so hopefully not a huge wait time if you do have to wait. Our service was nice and we all ordered different pizzas. We first ordered the rosemary focaccia which was good but nothing crazy to write home about. I got the white base carne dolce with pepperoni instead of the sausage. Probably the best pizza I've tried not too saucy or cheesy with a sweet flavor and chewy crust. The diavola was also ordered and it tasted so yummy. It was spicy so if you can't have spicy maybe skip this one. We sat outside because there isn't a ton of seating so be warned due to the weather.
Sam was amazing and took good care of us and we were pleasantly surprised how good our Diablo pizza was. I asked them to put honey on the side and it was perfect to dip my crust in. The place is small, but they do have a 900° pizza oven and it takes minutes to cook the pizza the crust was perfect and my husband loved the pepperoni and the sauce. This month they have about a 10 maybe 12 seat shared table. And about five seats at a standup bar perfect. We also have homemade gelato. My only complaint is. There was a person working there that had short, dark hair, tall and thin, and they waited on tables. Well, she wasn't friendly. And the way that she served our water and everybody else's water, was disgusting. She put her fingers on the top of the glass where people put their mouths. I never saw her wash her hands the entire time I was there. I put an example of what I'm talking about in this review. my overall experience because of the pizza and Sam I would definitely go back. I WOULD RECOMMEND
Service was great and my favorite was their input in which pizza was their personal favorite. Most people are scared to do as such. Ambiance was clean and cozy with the unique build shape. Food was great. Soft chewy dough with fresh light flavors compared to other "heavy" pizzas. Easy to repeat customer and there's plenty of other reviews to reflect this
Caught Pizzicletta's truck at Tap & Bottle in Tucson. My friends and I got a pizza each to share. I got to try the Bees Knees, Margarista, and the pepperoni. All of them were great and the Bees Knees was my favorite. The Bees Knees is pizza with sausage and honey. It was sweet and savory. All the flavors were well balanced. Pizzicletta calls themselves naturally fermented. I was curious and asked what that meant. They get their yeast from the air, similar to sour dough. The service was fast and friendly. This was their traveling van so the ambiance was their surroundings. Check them out if you're able to. read more

It's hard to imagine a better tasting pizza! We got the Daviola but asked for the honey on the side and glad we did. Neither of us cared for that too much but the rest of the pizza was absolute perfection. Cute and small inside with a long table running along the same parallel as the railroad tracks viewable through the window. Service was prompt and polite and the pizza came out quick! The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was due to the price of the beers, $9 for 17oz. Small outdoor patio is covered so not a bad option if busy! And if you're on the go, just order from the window! No slices tho, just the whole pizza-cletta! read more
The pizza is delicious, the sauce is like a sweet salty frozen pizza sauce dreams are made of. Original combinations but more traditional wood fire flavor. I could eat this pizza all day. The service is good and the place is cozy on a cold night. Beer is from DSB next door and available to order at your table. read more
4.5 stars, almost perfect. Still one of the best Neapolitan pizzas I've ever had. Fluffy and delicious thin crust that doesn't hurt my TMJ. Sat with friends at the community table and although a bit cramped i didn't mind. Service was fast and friendly. Food timed well. Got the burrata app for the first time and it was so good and refreshing. Plating was nice too. For pizzas, we got the special, margherita, and carne dolce. Wish there was an option for substantial protein like chicken. Some sausage meats were slightly too salty for us. Otherwise the pizzas were great. Gelato flight is a great way to try different flavors in a smaller portion. We tried the olive oil, coffee, sea salt choco, and banana choco chip. Fave was def banana. Wish there were some more fruity or citrus options to choose from since the banana was a special and not on the constant menu. read more

Burrata dish had super fresh flavors Pizzas were all very thin with tasty crust, though the meats are all pretty salty. The special with pepperoni was too salty for my likes. Gelato flight was a nice try of olive oil, coffee, salted chocolate, and banana chocolate chip. They were all pretty creamy, so I would've liked a citrus-based gelato. - olive oil was hard to taste - coffee was good - chocolate was odd since all of it was salty rather than having bits of salt - banana chocolate chip was my fav though the banana flavor was unripe... Service was kind and fast. We sat at the community table so ambiance was a bit cramped. read more
We were craving wood-fired pizza after a day of skiing and this place hit the spot! The pies are similar to a Neapolitan style with thin dough and high airy edges, light on oil, and focused on high quality ingredients - which are my favorite. We ordered the formaggi with focaccia (delicious spread of parm, burrata, figs, arugula), diavola (nice and spicy), carne dolce (our favorite, white sauce, salty, and sweet), and amore oi mari (very clean pie, we asked to swap out arugula with kale which we recommend). Wish the pies had a bit more sauce but otherwise delicious. read more
Pizzicleta is still on TOP! My partner and I came back for the 2nd time but with 4 more people. When we got there at 11:50am, there were 2 other groups waiting and all of us were seated right away at opening. Started with the Burrata caprese again which I loved. The Diavola pizza remains my fave and was the group favorite, although the Amore oi mari was also addicting and the special at the time (with red sauce, chevre, and arugula) was also delish. Everyone commented about how good the pizza crust was, which was soft and airy with a nice crunch. We ended with the gelato flight which included 4 flavors of our choice--the chocolate sea salt, coffee, olive oil, and seasonal peppermint chocolate. All great, especially the coffee flavor. 10/10 restaurant and would recommend to anyone visiting Flagstaff. read more
Cute spot near downtown Flagstaff serving up Neopolitan pizzas. Stopped by on a Thursday evening around 5pm and was met with no wait for indoor or outdoor seating. I started with the warm olives ($5.50), which were surprisingly fantastic. I'm not a huge olive fan, but it came highly recommended and nearly instantaneously once the waiter electronically put in the order. They come in a bit of garlicky olive oil and strands of lemon peel. I opted for the margherita pizza ($20.50) and added soppressata ($4). The basil was quite sparse and slightly burnt, but the rest of the pizza was very tasty. Crust had the perfect amount of chew, wasn't too charred, and the sauce/cheese ratio was good. They have red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, and chili oil upon request, but I ended up dipping the pizza crusts in the residual oil from the warm olives. Overall, friendly staff, and tasty pizza! The price is quite steep for the amount of food, especially as I polished a pizza and olives solo - totaled about $35 w tip. Paid parking next to the pizzeria, but free 2-hr parking along Cottage Ave and the streets further behind. Good place for a light meal with casual ambiance. read more

A place that truly lives up to the hype. Delish pizza, gelato, and drinks. Incredibly kind staff. The dining area is small with family-style tables and a small patio outside. It makes for a cozy meal, which we enjoyed greatly, but maybe not the spot to bring a large group. read more

Never disappoints! This is one of our family's FAVORITE pizza places in the state! We went twice this trip and both visits were great! We love everything about it! The perfect margarita pizza, fresh green salad, burrata, orange wine and my daughter loved the Mexican Coke! read more

Found this gem while driving thru Flagstaff. The restaurant is small with limited seating but it's worth it for the pizza. We got two pizzas and a gelato flight. Each dish came out quickly, and you can see them making the pizza fresh in the kitchen, even mincing garlic for each individual pizza. 10/10 recommend. I wish we lived closer so we could go again! read more

In flag for a couple days and this place absolutely hit the spot. We tried a sausage and cheese and the bees knees. This is a shared space with Dark Sky brewing company. You will have one server for beer and one for food. You can watch the magic as they make your pizza and put it kntl the wood fired oven. Make room for the gelato! Honesty some of the best we have ever had!! When you are in Flagstaff make time to stop! read more

the servers were friendly and helped us decide what our vegan options were. The crust of the pizza was crispy yet fluffy and the vegan ricotta was pretty good. we got a side salad and some focaccia as well. it was neat to see them make it fresh all in the same room. beige flags: wish they had the vegan gelato in stock, maybe some more vegan flavors instead of just the one! it's a small and cozy place. not too much seating inside, but they have outside seating. read more

Great wood-fired pizza and gelato in Flagstaff! They can even accommodate those who are lactose intolerant with dairy-free cashew ricotta or vegan diets. Very limited beer selection, however they do have more wine options. The restaurant can get busy even on a weeknight. Pretty small indoor seating area that includes a community table where they may sit you with other groups. Some outdoor seating, but again fairly limited. It can also take some time to find a parking spot. read more

This is one of my favorite pizza spots! They have their own place but also are in Dark Sky Brewery. We went to Dark Sky Brewery and had a great experience as usual. Beer is great, the service, the ambiance and of course the delicious pizza. If you are in flagstaff, check it out you will be happy you did! read more
Pizzicletta you finally gave me an impressive pizza in Flagstaff, AZ. I will be back for another Margherita add mushrooms soon (and maybe try some more of the menu)! We took our order to go, since we were in town a little too early in the evening to sit down to dinner, and it was still excellent heated up in our oven later that evening. The ingredients seemed great quality and the pizza making process well executed. I wish they had more salad options. We ordered the one on the menu and the greens were mostly good but there were some wilty ones. There was also a problem that the salad was a generous size but the amount of olive oil and vinegar given was pathetically stingy, so having gotten it to go we had to put a different dressing on it at home. We had also asked, albeit maybe a little late in the game, if they could put the salad's goat cheese on the side, and the takeout window staff gave some excuse as to why they couldn't but obviously just didn't really care to put the effort to check. So bottom line, I think if I do this as takeout again, salad will be made at home! read more
Post-COVID, they've reverted their seating arrangement back to a European style where you're sitting side by side and facing other parties. It's kind of cool and gives a unique vibe, though it can feel a bit awkward at times. Personally, I liked it! The pizzas here are simply amazing. They arrived at our table in record time, which was impressive. The speed and quality of service definitely made our visit enjoyable. I would love to go back again and highly recommend Pizzelecta to anyone looking for a great pizza place in Flagstaff. read more
This place was nestled in Flagstaff just a couple blocks from the Amtrak. The place is small, seating for the inside can fit I'd say 18-22 guest but they do have outside seating as well. The service was great, we created with smiles and given the special they had going and offered recommendations. As you're sitting there you can glance up and see your pizza being made and placed into their brick fired oven. Pretty neat I'd say. The pizza was very good, not too greasy, the flavors all worked well together and had a small bit of spice to it. We made sure and ate every bit of that pie. The dough was nice and had a bit of a chew to it and a light crunch. The rosemary focaccia was okay. I'd skip that and if you're hungry just get two pizzas, lol. They are about a medium sized pizza. One thing that you may or may not like is, there were a few flys in and around there and had to wave them away a few times but other than that the pizza was great. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a good pizza in Flagstaff, AZ. read more

They do not have gluten free pizza. The house made burrata is so good though, would reccomend going just for that and the gelato.
