This pizza place is inside the Dark Sky Brewery. You have to order your drinks and food from separate people. I did the reviews separately as well They have a few special pizzas or you can create your own. Limited menu but enough stuff to satisfy everyone We ordered the burrata and prosciutto plate for a starter and I got the pepperoni pizza while the wife got the margherita pizza. App was very good, pile of prosciutto with a ball of creamy cheese. Pizzas came out quick, was amazed at how fast they were out, we had barely touched the appetizer. Both pizzas were really good. I plowed through mine in no time and ate the last piece of my wife's! Could have been cooked a minute or so longer to crisp up the crust but otherwise were really good For dessert we got the gelato, I had strawberry and the wife had sea salt chocolate. Both were good but wife was blown away but how good the sea salt was! Loved it, service was good, friendly and always checking in Seats weren't great, metal stools at high top tables, found them to be really uncomfortable. Guess they don't want you staying long! Pizza is fantastic! I split the funghi pizza with my sister - definitely a splittable portion. We also split a beer flight! My favorite was the cream ale. I thought it was going to be like a Guinness (which I don't usually like) but this one was light and refreshing! My sister loves sour ales and really enjoyed the lemonade stand one. The service is decent, it's very busy and kinda loud so it's not super service-forward. The environment is what you would expect for a brewery however I will say it gets VERY hot with the pizza oven in there and an outside temp over 80 degrees. We were all sweating a little so that was less than ideal. But overall I would go back, just maybe in a cooler month! read more

I love that they have a community table. The pleasure of eating delicious pizza amongst smiling strangers was refreshing. Very solid pizza! Ordering at DSB is always kind of confusing so we typically go to the location next to Mother Road. The crust is so pillowy and chewy! Always buzzy and fun. Def the type of pizza you want to eat right then and there though - would not recommend takeout (not sure they do it actually). Sometimes I order "well done" for a bit of a firmer slice. We were seated at a dirty table. Server came with a filthy brown rag and just smeared whatever puke looking like substance all over the table and told us it was ready! Next came the pizzas; first was a 10" to 11" Naanda flat bread with sliced almonds, honey and olive oil! We cannot really speak to the ambiance because we took it to go, but the patio looked beautiful and had heaters as well. The to go orders are pick up on the side of the building from a separate window, which was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful with getting my pizzas out. We had the white pizza with the honey and nduja sausage, and a margarita pizza with prosciutto. Both were absolutely fantastic. They were light and crisp with the perfect tender chew, and the toppings were perfectly prepared. We also had the warm olives and bread, and those were awesome too. This is your standard brewery, complete with mason jars, Edison bulbs, and drunk college students. The food exceeded our expectations for brewery fare, however! Last time I came here I remember loving the bee's knees with sundried tomatoes. This time it was a little underwhelming me and I'm not sure why. It seemed a little more bland. Still delicious though. This restaurant has a shared space with Dark Sky Brewing Company Taproom. It was packed when we got there. There were 6 of us and the host said it would take about 1 1/2 hours for a table so we decided to order 3 pizzas to go. A large table actually freed up while we waited for our pizzas, but he didn't offer us the table and we didn't bother to ask since he wasn't exactly friendly. We ordered the following: Special pizza Bee's knees Margherita Of the 3, my favorite was the special pizza because it had Calabrian chilis, which gave it a really nice kick. The bee's knees was interesting and tasted more like a dessert pizza because it had mascarpone cheese and honey. The Margherita was good, but I would've liked it better with a bit more basil. I enjoyed the texture of the pizza dough. It was a bit chewy and had a slight sour dough taste. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We were part of a large group and waited over 40 minutes to be seated, only for the waiter to suddenly demand everyone's IDs and tell us we had to leave immediately. We were not ordering alcohol, but were told that because it's "a bar," everyone must be over 21 -- information that was never once communicated when we put our names down. To make this even more absurd, there were families with children actively seated inside at the same time. So either the policy is selectively enforced, or no one actually knows what the rules are. When we understandably questioned this, the waiter brought over another employee and instead of apologizing for their mistake, both were shockingly rude, dismissive, and unapologetic. Not a single "sorry for the miscommunication" after wasting over half an hour of our time. This was a complete failure in communication, customer service, and basic professionalism. If you're going to enforce a strict 21+ policy, that needs to be made clear before people are seated -- not after you've already wasted their time and embarrassed them. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. read more

After every snow day, we re-fuel here. I'd say it's one of my favorite pizzas in Arizona. It's always an easy pick if one in our group is picky. Just everyone loves it. They keep things simple, adding some changes to the menu every now and then with their specials. This time one of the appetizers was new, burrata sitting on prosciutto on a bed of arugula drizzled in balsamic goodness. Three of us shared our pizzas: bees knees, margherita, and pepperoni. You can't go wrong with these 2 classics. Bees Knees is a bit more unique with marscapone cheese added in there and the hot chili sauce adds some heat to the sweetness of this pizza! I really actually come here often for the Stracciatella gelato. I've had gelato in Europe, yet this one really is amazing! I would eat all of this ever made and die fat and happy! Dark Sky Beer is served here but separately from the food (ordering from a different waiter or waitress, but that's what I mean). One of their rotating IPAs, which is more unique than other IPAs, is Blood of my Enemies, which is good, but only if you're on the adventurous side of the flavor palette. The wait was long, we waited outside to be emanated for over 45 minutes. Once seated they took our order quick. Food came quick, we came because tik tok, pizzas were good, very thin good flavor. We order 4 pizzas for 7 people and we barely made it. We could eat more!! Funghi was definitely everyone's favorite. Beas knees was sweet. tl;dr this pizza-brewery collab is a match made in heaven, where overly ambitious but enjoyable pies meet a diverse and affordable draught lineup Pizzicletta's owner Caleb Schiff was inspired to shift from his geology graduate studies to pizza-making following a bicycle tour through Italy, and he opened his original wood-fired pizzeria over a decade ago in downtown Flagstaff. And thankfully he did, because his restaurant was quickly met with acclaim. Pizzicletta now also runs a pop-up (equipped with its own unique pie lineup) out of Dark Sky Brewing's taproom. The enormous indoor space features an industrial-chic vibe, accented heavily by tarnished steel and weathered wood. The concrete floors maintain a balance between polished and worn, and individual incandescent bulbs hang from the exposed ductwork. Arizona-themed photographs and paintings deck the grey brick and tiled walls. Steel barstools of assorted colors are arranged around communal bartop seating. A slate chef's bar loops around the red ceramic pizza oven up front, while a second live-edge wooden bar stretches all the way back. An eclectic mix of offbeat electronic music, instrumental, and oldies blends with the roar of bargoers. My partner and I arrived to find the taproom was packed with large parties during weekend dinner, but we were fortunate enough to grab a vacant two-seater table in the far back. Service was mildly rocky at first -- both wait staffs (one from Pizzicletta, the other from DSB) approached us multiple times over 15 minutes before we even had water or a menu. However, once we placed our orders, the remainder of the night was smooth sailing. We opted for Pepperoni and Bee's Knees Pizzas, and both large pies were brought out in a matter of minutes. For the former, pepperoni was plentiful, and, although the slices could've been slightly crispier), the savory taste perfectly complemented the sweet, tangy red sauce. Meanwhile, the white pie was less exciting. While cohesive in its mildly earthy flavors, none of the toppings dazzled, and the sausage bits were sorely in need of a nice sautee. Finally, the charred crust on both pies, crafted from naturally leavened dough, was flavorful and naan-level chewy -- although I'm not usually a crust person, here I ravenous devoured every bite. We complemented the food with an assortment of 5oz pours. Each was affordable ($2-3), tasty, and definitely larger than 5oz. Our favorites were the Sill Smokin' (a smokey Grodziskie) and the Recuerdos (a Mexican lager brewed with locally grown corn). Apart from the confusion at the beginning of our meal, the service was friendly and efficient, and we faced no trouble between our two tabs. Between both, our bill totaled about $65. Pizzicletta's pies are definitely non-traditional but fundamentally delicious. This is a long awaited review! We have been going here for 4 years! I've been raving about this place since day 1! It is by far our top 2 pizza places in Arizona period! We also love the vibe there. The wait was not long at all. We were seated right away! It's fun to watch the process of them making pizza. They are always so welcoming and have great service. Our favorite pizzas our the Funghi and the bacon and shallot with pepperoni. The wood fire style hits hard and tastes so yum ! Pizza dough is perfectly cooked, sauce is amazing, cheese is awesome and the whole pizza is perfect. It's a taste of greatness with each bite. The pizza here literally makes me do the happy pizza dance . In addition today we had the Caesar Salad. It was well made and did not disappoint. We also had the olives which were tasty. I really liked the ceasers salad here. Reaaally good. I love Parmesan cheese and it has lots of it! I also liked the flavor the pizza sauce and the pepperoni they use on the pizzas. I did not like the dough very much. A bit too soft and chewy for me. Some of the pictures show it as fluffy but mine was definitely not that. The other bad experience about this place is the service. Workers here didn't seem to want to be there and were not very friendly. Seems like the light thing is important to them. If they could fix these things, this place would be great. read more

This restaurant has excellent pizza and is our favorite Flagstaff pizza restaurant. My husband and I rate the Bees knees pizza as 5; and the bacon and shallot pizza as 4. The restaurant is connected to Dark Sky Brewing. You need to order your pizza from the Pizzicletta server and your beverage from the Dark Sky server. The interior ambiance consists of high tables with backless stools. There are few chairs with backs. The interior decor is a bit starkly industrial. I believe you are allowed to take your pizza and beer outside to the popular often crowded Dark Sky patio. read more

We had this excellent pizza while visiting Dark Sky Brewery! We ended up coming here twice in one day and ordered a pepperoni pizza and the Bee's Knees. The Bee's Knees had mozzarella, sausage, honey, and sage which was SO delicious! The pepperoni was yummy too -- the pepperoni are a bit spicy. All of the pizzas came out very quickly. We also ordered some gelato -- it was nice and creamy! Service was quick but the pizzas are a little pricey. Really cool, laid back atmosphere.
