They are one of the more popular pizza places in Flag and my son's favorite. Order from the counter and then they bring you your food. You get your drinks and utensils from a bar at the back wall. Their pizza has a semolina based dough. Not my favorite but like I said, my son's likes it. My tastes are more Chicago or New York pizza. They do use quality ingredients and real deck ovens. They also have salads and other things. The ambiance is comfortable and casual. Great for families and kids as well as the college crowd. While I'm only going to give it 3 stars it's still an order of magnitude better than your chain pizza choices. read more

Honestly I thought this a pretty good pizza for being in Flagstaff. Usually not a place known for its pie's, but I respected it. The flavor of the wings were great too. The only knock is that they gave me only 1 flat in an 8 piece wing. I thought that was a little outrageous, but all good. Lumberjack Pizza's Proclames boldy on their website that it is the "Flagstaffs Favorite Pizza" (with "favorite' underlined. Is this hyperbole? And what are the metrics by which this proclomation has been asserted? Allow me to enlighten you with my opinion of this establishments' pie. We ordered a Margherita pie- add garlic, a meat lovers pie and 3 sides (mozzarella sticks, fries and wings -medium.) First - the Meat lovers. Good proption of meat to cheese and sauce. Various meats were complementary. Crust- failry thin and crispy (the correct New York inspired way to make a pizza, Chicago need not apply.) The Margharita - well see the photo with the remaining 3 of 8 slices. Note that only 3 of the 5 removed were fully consumed by a group of college students (myself being the parent of the group). Where is the cheese on this thing? Simply put... this was the sadest and most unenthusiastic attempt to create a Margherita pizza Ive ever experienced. You would think for the obnoxiously high price of $23.95 at the time of this publishing for this moat basic of pizzas that they would include enough medalions of fresh mozzarella cheese to cover a majority of the pie... but you would be wrong to think this. Instead, the slices of fresh mozzarella look so thin they may have been cut on a deli slicer and cover, at best, 30% of the pizza. They might as well call this "A Pizza wit' nuttin!" Aside from this... the sauce overall was a touch too salty and the added garlic we requested seems was "jar-lic" (the pre-minced stuff you get at grocery stores for convenience. The bright spot was the wings. Really, quite good. Maybe Lumberjack pizza should consider hanging up the pizza peel and focus on the wings alone. The 4 stars this place shows as on yelp right now is totally undereserved on the pizza side. I could have done equally as well woth Dominos and spent 50% on the check. In short - if you like your pizza to be "mid"- yes... eat here. But instead, you may want to consider a cheaper option. read more

I went here with some friends and ordered a margarita pizza, everyone else's food came out in like 5 minutes. About 30 minutes pass and everyone else finished their food already, so i go up to the counter to ask for my pizza to go, and then they immediately put it in a box for me. If my pizza was done why did you not bring it to me??? I went back to the table and opened the box and the pizza was 80% sauce, it looked like a skinned pig with buboes, and tasted even worse. We came in for slices, and it was pretty disappointing. They didn't have a lot ready, and what was seemed to have been sitting around for quite a while. Both the cheese and veggie slices had that quality of day old pizza you heat up in a toaster oven. The crust on the cheese had a weird bitter flavor almost reminiscent of a cleaning product. We saw another table ordered a freshly made pizza, and it looked entirely different with melty cheese, so that seems to be the way to go here. On the bright side, though, the pizza was cheap! My side salad was an almost twice the price of a slice of cheese. read more

We were in Flagstaff for a golf weekend and about 10 of us went over to try out Lumberjack Pizza as it was just down the street from the Hotel Monte Vista where we were staying. We all enjoyed the pizza they had as we all got various pies. It's a place where you walk up to the counter and order your pizza. They give you a number for your seat and they bring it over to you. You can also get a beer at the counter while waiting for your pizza. The girl working behind the counter (I think she said her name was Elyse) was very sweet and helpful when ordering. Next time in Flagstaff I will return again. P.S. Lumberjack Brewery just south of Lumberjack Pizza across the tracks is pretty good too read more

Only one person working and I was waiting 10 minutes (I'm Native American Navajo) and she looked at me and she continued to do her job at what she was doing and finally got her attention, bad management and when a white customer came up to the counter she was immediately helped unlike myself waiting 10 minutes. read more

Came here with my coworker, we both haven't been here before. The slice and wings combo was filling and really good. The pizza had great sauce and the wings were perfect, crispy and sauced the right amount. The employee there was super nice and the place had a chill environment. The price wasn't bad either. I ordered delivery, the driver was very professional no complaints with the service. That's what is saving this from a 1 star review. My reason for a low rating is that the pizza was not good, flat out, point blank. I threw the entire pie away after 3 bites. I was convinced they sold me an off brand frozen pizza from the grocery. If I were you I'd just skip it. read more

We waited for 7 minutes at the counter waiting for the person at counter to acknowledge us. He stared at us without a hello, or be with you right away or even a smile and continued a lengthy conversation with the white man he was chatting with. We left after 7 minutes and there wasn't a single word said. We are an couple of color with a child.. racism in 2023...how novel! Bad customer service, food was just ok. Takes forever to make a pie but most importantly bad customer service. Person upfront was rude and making rude sarcastic comments when I asked about my pizza being delayed. Regardless, would not recommend. We came to Flagstaff Arizona with my grandmother to visit. All of the people in this town are extremely friendly. Excellent pizza! First pizza I had in AZ so idk if this is the style out here, but the crust was very crispy and crunchy, perfectly baked - cheese chewy but not greasy. Highly recommend the pizza here! Boneless wings were good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, great experience! read more

Pizza and wings were awesome, they seemed to be short handed and I I feel that leads to rushing and that leads to mistakes. I had to come compliment the cook because I really enjoyed the food. I understand being a bigger family/party can be a little challenging but They were super helpful and apologized for the minor inconveniences but whenever we come back I'm willing to check them out again. We were out of towner's visiting for a hockey tournament. It was late on a Saturday night after one of our games and we were starving! Tried Lumberjack pickup and we are all so glad we did! Pizza was hot and ready when they said it would be! The crust was amazing, pizza was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were rich and satisfying! This is my new favorite place for wings, in the nation. I feel like bloody Marys and wings are my niche and the wings here are awesome. They are crispy on the outside and very well cooked and all sauce was awesome. Best in class for me and I'm sorry I don't live here. The pizza was very good but the stars of the place are the workers who give thier opinion on what they like and that goes a long way I can't wait to return and glad my son has two more years in college so I get the excuse to goobpe down 25 wings in one sitting. read more

We came here on a Saturday night after some bar hopping in Flagstaff. It was just the ticket to soak up the excess alcohol. They have a good variety of pizza by the slice. I think we got one meat-y slice and one veggie slice (details are fuzzy due to the bar hopping that occurred prior to our arrival here). They had a special for a slice and a drink, and that drink could be a BEER not just a soft drink! YAY! They had three or four types of beer that were included in the special. The slices were great - loaded with cheese and toppings but still maintaining a crispy crust. I'm not going to comment on pricing because a) I don't remember so it likely wasn't overly cheap or overly expensive; and b) with inflation being what it is, what's the point?! Our stop here gave us the needed energy to hit one more bar before turning in for the night. Well done, Lumberjacks! read more

The outdoor beer garden is huge with plenty of seating, heaters for those crisp Flagstaff evenings, and sunshades for warmer days. There's indoor seating too, but the outdoor area is definitely the main attraction. It's also dog friendly, which was nice to see. You order both food and drinks at the counter and they bring everything out to you. We arrived right when they opened and there was already a line forming, so the place is clearly popular. The decor fully leans into Flagstaff's International Dark Sky designation with UFO, alien, and astronaut-themed artwork throughout the venue, which gives it a fun atmosphere. The drink selection was impressive with a huge variety of craft beers on tap plus cocktails, cider, and wine. We tried the Rainy Daze hazy IPA and the Vortices hazy double IPA. Both were smooth, flavorful, and not overly bitter or hoppy, and of course very hazy. Food was more hit or miss. The pretzel board was really good and the beer cheese was awesome. The fish and chips, however, were just okay. The fish tasted like the fryer oil probably needed to be changed, and the portions were smaller than expected with only three thin pieces of fish. The fries at least came out crispy and hot. Service was friendly, although interaction is pretty limited since everything is counter service. The all-gender bathrooms were also clean, which is always appreciated. There's a paid parking lot across the street along with metered street parking nearby. Overall, I'd come back for the atmosphere and the massive beer selection, but I'd probably skip the fried foods.

My husband got the beer flight which includes six 5 ounce tasters. At only $14 for 30 ounces total, it's a deal to get to try six different beers. After reading other reviews, we settled on the Irish spring rolls and the Vietnamese burger. Both did not disappoint. I highly recommend both. We stopped here on our way to our hotel and the Grand Canyon and it was worth the stop. You won't be disappointed.

And tonite a group of Italians passing thru on a motorcycle trip to Las Vegas and of course cruising Route 66. Dogs hang here too which is nice. I just realized this visit, you can sit w your beer on the outdoor patio across the sidewalk. And hear the cool band playing at Weatherford Hotel. Good times!
