I've been ordering almost every Sunday since Pizzava opened in Midtown. I due to my loyalty I will not harm the business with less than 5 Stars. Issues: 1. They are now using Door Dash for deliveries. I live two blocks away and have always received my order in the 10-15 minute range. Tonight over an hour and nice and cold. 2. I assume there may be change in staff but I counted the extra pepperoni I paid for which totaled 8 on the whole medium pizza. I counted the sausage pieces 10 small balls on the entire pizza. (I ordered the Backyard as I always do.) Very disappointed and question if I will continue my Sunday tradition. read more

Was craving pizza late night after ice skating at the grand Sierra resort and after a lot of yelp searching I found this location. We went to restaurant and ordered to go. The cashier lady was honestly so sweet and lovely. She took my order very prompt. We ordered a large half Hawaiian half pepperoni a cheese bread and a cinnamon bread. The order honestly took less than 20 minutes. Same lady that initially helped us was the same one who gave us our order and made sure all our order was complete. When we got to our hotel we pretty much finished the whole pizza. Their dough was really good and cooked very well. First time I actually ate the crust and I usually don't. The cheese bread was also very tasty and not overly cheesy and my boyfriend loved his cinnamon bread. This location only has a store front and no dine in option, just keep that in mind. It is mainly for to go orders. read more

If you're looking for quality, late night pizza, you'll definitely want a PIZZA this! Pizzava is dangerously down the street from my favorite bars in Midtown, but it's definitely worth stopping by after to fix those late night munchies. The menu is quite extensive with pre-built and build-your-own options, and each pizza is crafted fresh to order. We ordered the Backyard Pizza, which is their version of a combo/supreme pizza, and I was pleasantly blown away by how well made it was! The crust/dough was flavorful and well-cooked, and I appreciated how generous they were with their pizza toppings. Definitely a hidden gem, high quality pizza spot (despite the casual takeaway nature), and I highly recommend checking them out for your late night (or honestly anytime) pizza cravings! read more

Pizzava is some great simple za, that absolutely hits the mark. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? Probably not, Is it delicious, fresh, cheesy and all the things I want in a late night bite or pizza night? Absolutely. They don't have any tables or seats, other than a bench to wait for takeout, but they kindly let us enjoy our za onsite still, which honestly we devoured pretty quick with our group of 6. It's nothing fancy, no crazy speciality pizzas or fancy toppings, just some classic, traditional crust, perfect amount of sauce and cheese ratio pizza. They cut it in triangles, for those who care and offer ranch, that being said, no notes! Prices are very reasonable and our group of six ate two large and one XL, classic cheese and pepperoni. We were pretty hungry because nothing was left, but we all left full. They also have delightful desserts, highly recommend the carrot cake! It was an unexpected, but delicious sweet finish. read more

Excellent pizza and somehow even higher quality people working there. I always come here for myself but the other day I had family from Eastern Europe visit and pizza there sucks, so they wanted not suck. I put in an order that if read out loud would sound more cynical than a Bukowski novel. And they were already busy af. It was a Karen Special with extra entitlement basically and I felt bad because I kept calling and changing things. I usually don't name drop but Matt was who I dealt with and I gotta say, this homie is a saint and belongs on a stained glass window holding somebodies forehead or whatever they do. Canonise this stud because he was cool, calm, and even funny the entire time. I'll never do this to a restaurant again for fear of God's wrath but I picked the best place and best human to impose it on. Thanks Matt!!!! And thanks Pizzava!! read more

good service and they get things done fast nice to costumer and has great pizza it hot when you get it

First of all customer service, wayyy excellent. So kind; and the guys helped out an og (me) by allowing me to place my order by phone and pay with cash. My order Arrived on time if not early (which can be sketchy downtown dealing with all the road closures during events). The pasta is delicious and just the way I ordered it with extra garlic and marinara. They even remembered my request for utensils and stuff. I love piazzava !!! A huge thank you to the people working there. read more

Gotta rate Pizzava a 4/5. It's awesome that's it's open late, and SOME of the food really hit the spot after some degeneracy at the bars next door. The wings though, they were crap, I feel generous rating this a 4... but to be fair... the cinnamon and frosting thingies were rock solid *not pictured*, and the Jalapeno bacon cheese bread was awesome. The wings though..... you all need to work on that, for now I'd rate the wings a 100% skip... don't do it read more

You know over the years I've had Pizzava but I just recently had one of their pepperoni pizzas in January and it's was really good. Great ratio of sauce and cheese. And it's fresh. Also the service was great. I walked in to pick up and the woman who cashed me out was super sweet and kept a nice conversation. I'd definitely grab another pizza when I'm in midtown again! read more

****DoorDash delivery**** Had I received this item hot, I feel like the pizza would be REALLY good. Unfortunately, this item was delivered 25 minutes late and the slices were like warm. Although it was still good, it was also little mid due to the temperature (or lack of). I also wasn't given parmesan cheese or peppers on the side which I was actually surprised about (and plates???). Not sure, maybe that's asking too much of a restaurant lol I would come back here and try to eat in house to truly gauge how good this place is. read more

Oops I did it again! Pizzava + RSL for a fantastic night out or wrap up of a busy work night too! This time the Meataholic was on the menu, which has ALL the meats! Ham, sausage, bacon, pepperoni and lots of cheese and red sauce is a combo that always wins in my book, and Pizzava doesn't miss. The giant tub of house ranch too for $2 is the real hero though. Well, that and the friendly and speedy service! Future me says I probably won't do the Meataholic again though. It's just too much topping for the dough to handle here. I like my pie to have a bit of structure and this one really folded under the weight of all that meat, grease, and ooey gooey cheese, not to mention I could only enjoy two slices because it was SO heavy! Still. It was DEEELICIOUS! IDK how they train, but the team is always awesome here. The guy taking our order hit all the notes, packed up plates and napkins, and made sure we had everything we needed to devour this dinner. I just love Pizzava and you will too. I wish they delivered to my area, but then again I am happy they don't because it would show up way too often! read more

Was on a tour of the Midtown murals with a number of Rotarians from the Reno-Sparks clubs when we came upon Pizzava. Some of us decided to sit down at The Par next door for some drinks. We found out that they didn't serve food on Monday's or Tuesday's which is fine, so we ordered some pizza from Pizzava and boy were we glad we did. The crust was awesome, the toppings were delicious, and the speed with which the pizzas came out was lightening fast. It has to be some of the best pizza in town. Will definitely be coming back for more. read more

Fantastic pizza, fantastic late night bar food spot, and classic pizza walk in feel. If you're bar hopping and want to share some pretzle bites, the ones here are fantastic. Needed a quick dinner fix during our Reno visit and found Pizzava through Yelp! We were already walking through midtown so this was the perfect place to check out. It's definitely an order for pickup kind of spot. The prices were average for pizza and wings but they do offer military discount which was great! We only had to wait about 15 mins for our order which gave us some time to check out a few shops nearby. Super fast service and the pizza did not disappoint! read more

DISCLAIMER: Food was delivered via "Uber Eats" application, and will solely be based on food quality. I had a good offer from Uber Eats to receive a huge discount (40%) to order from this restaurant. I decided on getting one pizza under the "Create Your Own Pizza 16" section. The options I was given and modified are written below. - Extra Large Size - Two base sauce: Alfredo (costed an extra $1) - Crust is Parmesan (costed an extra $1) Experience: The pizza looks promising but it doesn't match with the picture. I received the coldest, more unappetizing, and "made one day ago" pizza from this place that night. I forgot to take a picture of my pizza, before i tossed it in the trash . However, I screenshotted their "Cheese Pizza" to this review, which is attached to this review. Although delivered through an app, I don't believe they had any impact in the quality of their food I received, because my driver was quick and amazing. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with their product but I am unsure if their "dine-in" experience would be better. read more

12/17/2023- We had the pleasure of sampling a few slices at the special event for Northern Diabetes.. I was impressed with the pizza, decided to order it for a late lunch.. Ordered through DoorDash and was also impressed! Went with the spicy Alfredo pizza. Arrived just as promised and the pizza was still warm not cold.. another plus. The Alfredo sauce was good and went well with the toppings.. Only minus some of the chicken pieces were hard and dry... Would I order again ? Yes!.. and try another flavor! read more

This is my go to for midnight pizza for sure! This is my... 4th, 5th? Time going here and their pizza is so good. I got some deals when I first moved here and I was hesitant, but my gosh I was drooling. Me and my friend anytime we craving pizza like 10/11pm we like: Pizzava. The staff there are super, always kind and seeing them in action in the back is always great to see (my adhd kicks in where I see that dough flying, so do my eyes). The ambiance there is super chill, depending who is playing music they have a pretty rad playlist going. I always go back there for more. Next time I'll try something that isn't just pizza for sure. read more

Thought I'd treat myself to Pizzava delivery on this rainy weekday workday. Ordered a medium cheese pizza for my son and I and barely had time to take the picture before I wolfed down a coupled of slices. Love the chewy dough, fresh red sauce, and gobs of fresh mozarella. Love the price too, as it seemed to be a little less expensive than our Reno competitors. Pizzava stays open till 3 am! That's A+ for those graveyard workers or late night studiers. Nice treat for a midday meal. Well worth the order! read more

Oh my world! My tastebuds were in pizza heaven from this veggie pizza (without the olives). 'Twas insanely delicious! If you're in town, definitely drop by this place to fulfill your pizza cravings! It's a small take-out joint, not sure if they have seating inside, but they have A/C while you wait for your pizza. I tried Pizzava and ordered The Backyard pizza. Overall, the pizza was pretty good. They don't skimp on toppings--the pizza came loaded with ingredients, which I really appreciated. Every weekday morning, I watch Chris Murphy and Taylor Winkle on channel 11. Today, they had Pizzava on , for National Pizza Day. All the news anchors LOVED the pizza. They enjoyed it so much, it made me want to have pizza for dinner! So, at 8am, I decided what my family was having for dinner. I never had Pizzava before, and my goal this year, is to try new places! The menu had so many choices!! I chose 3 flavors I believe the family would want. I will order again because there are more I want to try!!! So much flavor in each slice! My mom was happy because the crust was soft enough for her to eat all of it (she usually doesn't eat it). I highly recommend you try this pizza today! read more

Anyone who knows me well enough knows that pizza is my TMNT alter ego food group of champions! Today, we celebrated the 5-year milestone of Pizzava, our community-driven, family-owned, slice of heaven in every bite pizza masters. Five years for anything; whether a career milestone with the same company, or a business serving the elements of uncertainty, and Pizzava has proven themselves worthy to be notable as a community icon. Today, from 10:30am-4:00pm, or until the dough was gone (is it ever truly 100% gone though?), this crew of hero's tossed dough, swirled sauce, sprinkled generous amounts of cheese to hand out large cheese pizzas for an amazing $2.99/each with a "reasonable limit" per person. I picked up two after making the journey from the North Valleys along with a couple others via an online order that was not logistically timed to when the cheese pies would be ready since you ordered those in-store only. After receiving my order about an hour after arrival, I made the trip back home and put the cold slices in a 400-degree oven for 5-minutes on a pizza stone and everything was restored back to its original perfection! Now before I get into how amazing the food was, let me talk about service. The crew at Pizzava were calm, cool, collected, and smiling! The store was immaculately clean as I've always seen it. All of the customers were excited; many had never had the magic that is Pizzava and after talking to me a bit, they couldn't wait to come back after eating their first slice of heaven...pizza heaven that is! read more
