Pizza Twist has an interesting concept, and I'll give credit where it's due: the customer service was genuinely good. Staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience easy. That said, the pizza itself was... meh. It wasn't bad, but it definitely tasted closer to frozen pizza than something fresh or standout. The flavors just didn't hit the way you'd expect given the unique menu and concept. Here's the thing: pizza is like sex even when it's just okay, it's still pretty good. So I still ate it, and I didn't hate it. But with so many solid pizza options out there, this one just doesn't rise above average. If you're curious about the concept, it's worth trying once. Pizza with a Twist truly lives up to its name! Such a unique and creative spin on traditional pizza. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza (medium spice), and it was the perfect introduction flavorful, well-balanced, and just the right level of heat. The samosas are HUGE, and the cheese bread portions are incredibly generous. You definitely get your money's worth. We did delivery, so I can't speak to the in-person experience and that's really the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Everything we tried was delicious, and I'd absolutely order again. It's been a year since we've eaten at Pizza Twist. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was surprisingly empty; so we walked right up to the counter and placed our order: a family size All-Meat pizza, an order of the butter chicken pasta, two orders of the garlic Parmesan wings plus a couple of fountain drinks. The food took about 10-15 minutes to cook, the staff were superbly accommodating and pleasant. When the food finally arrived at the table, everything looked and tasted great; everything was expertly prepared and well-seasoned, the portion size were generous; we had a lot of food leftover to take home. The total price was a little on the pricier side but it was worthwhile because the quality, quantity and service was excellent. I went here on a Friday night for a quick late night dinner. Food, wow! I had the lamb kebab pizza. It was screaming fire good. Service, excellent. The young lady made sure I would enjoy it, making sure that it would not be too spicy and that I understood what I was ordering. I am food adventurous, so really she could have put anything on that pizza and I would have been willing to try. But that bit of customer concern to make I enjoyed it. 5 star material. We ordered a large "Supreme" pizza via takeout and enjoyed it poolside at our friend's house in the Old Southwest. The pie was loaded, had a nice kick to it, and helped by a little extra oven warming after we got it home. It was a delicious choice and one that will have us back at the next opportunity. read more

The flavors at this place!! Wow!.. I had a sample of their pizza at a Yelp event and its been on my mind since..so it was time to order a full pizza.. everyone in the household loves Indian food. My fiancee and i got to sample it but my brother had never tried it before so I got the chicken Tikka masala pizza which has mozzarella cheese, spiced chicken, fresh mushrooms,red onions, bell peppers, and diced garlic, ginger, and green chilies,topped with fresh cilantro.. It's one of the best pizzas we've ever had. My brothers mind was blown when he took his first bite..lol.. we got to adjust the spicy level so that was awesome. I also got us the tandoori lamb salad.. I really never order salad with pizza but it was calling my name..lol.. so happy i did.. It has tangy tandoori dressing, lamb, Parmesan cheese, onions, and croutons.. all the flavors were unlike anything I've had.. I thought the dressing was going to be super sweet but it wasnt.. the lamb wasn't gamey or hard to chew /rubbery .. It was a hit with all of us. My family and I decided to check out this place for the first time while on vacation because my kids wanted pizza. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the Indian inspired pizza toppings. We ordered a plain cheese pizza for our littles (can't go wrong there) and I ordered (1) Chicken tikka pizza and (1) Curry Chicken pizza. It was hands down-- DELICIOUS!!! The curry sauce was not oozing out, everything about the pizza was perfectly measured, no sloppy cheese or sauce spilling over. Another icing on our dine in experience were the owners. They were so kind, humble and always came to check in on us throughout our meal. The prices were reasonable, and the amount of Indian inspired pizza toppings were incredible. This place is as basic as it comes- no bells or whistles, just a standard sit down restaurant located directly next to Econo Lodge (don't let that scare you, the workers are so friendly). While driving through Reno at lunchtime we looked up a pizza place and this place came up with high ratings and I see why, their pizza is delicious! I wasn't expecting it to be inside/attached to a motel but was surprised it had a full bar and big restaurant area and gaming room. I love Indian pizza places they always have the best flavor combinations on their specialty pizzas and this place was loaded with choices. They had a sign for Mango Habanero which sounded great and since we were getting an XL to have leftovers for dinner later we opted to do two different 1/2's and picked Mediterranean for the other 1/2. The Indian flavors on the Mediterranean was really nice, and spicy too! The Mango Habanero was sweet with a little heat and both were cheesy and the crust was crispy. The ingredients were all fresh and I sure wish we had one of these near home since there are so many other pizzas to try! The guys were awesome and bring out plates and your pizza nice and hot. We ended up getting a box and took quite a bit to the hotel for later. This pizza is even great cold or reheated. Glad we stopped in, don't let the location detour you come try them out. read more

Vegetarian review - totally underrated place which has a great selection. The biggest surprise was that they have Indian curry pizza! Taste was awesome, selection was great, service was very nice. The pizzas had hardly any crust left as the space was maximized which is great for those who don't eat the crust anyway. Only gripe for me, as I enjoy the crust very much, is that there was minimal attention given to the taste of the dough meaning there was no salt at all and is the only reason for missing star. "Vegan Indian Pizza" would not have been something I'd expect out of a spot like Reno, but here we are. Although Chicago is known more for their deep dish pizza, this Indian twist here was bomb and some of the best vegan pizzas you'll find in town. My partner and I ordered two medium vegan pizzas: Chicken Tikka Masala and the Bombay Garlic. Both used what appeared to be seitan chicken substitute along with plenty of veggies, garlic, and sauce that mirrored the flavors of Indian cooking. I loved the garlic one more personally since I am really a vampire deep down, but the tikka masala also had great flavors. Both pizzas use vegan cheese to top but you can sub that out and just have sauce instead. They even offer a vegan ranch dip and dressing for those that want one, which made for the perfect dipping action to go with our pizzas. No prices on the menu but sometimes I think we are so spoiled in America we forget not everybody does things the way we are used too. At the cashier you can order & ask questions. I love Indian pizza so much!!! Imagine my delight at hearing there was a popular place in Reno for Indian pizza. Imagine my distress at receiving a pizza that had only the faintest hint of the spicy tangy creamy sauce I desired and chicken instead of the cubes of paneer I requested. Now look, I understand mistakes happen and that chicken is probably more popular than paneer. Being that I am lazy and my resident vegetarian was out of town, I forged ahead with the chicken. Now this is some surprisingly awesome food! With a Twist is in the same building as the travel lodge and when you walk in, it looks like any other chain pizza place. But the flavors and service are any but chain status! The Indian pizzas are bursting with flavor, the chicken wings are tender and juicy and the masala fries pack a punch. You can take away, but the dine in experience was really great. They brought everything out in such a quick succession and our waitress always had a smile on her face, even though we were in pretty late at night. I highly recommend the saag pizza. I got hooked on Indian pizza at Zante's in San Francisco and it's pretty different- this is more pizza-focused/the dough is definitely puffier. And there are a LOT of toppings! Depending on what you order. i've tried a bunch of different types- chicken tikka pizza most recently- and have not been disappointed yet. I've only had delivery and it does take almost an hour but it takes awhile to make this pizza and it's always hot when it arrives. Getting into the parking lot was a little weird since it is located at the corner of Virginia Street and Plumb Ave and it looked like you can only drive one way in the parking lot. The restaurant is attached to a hotel. The place looked clean and there was a video game arcade at one end. The lady helping me was nice. The prices weren't bad for the pizza. While I was waiting, I decided to order some wings also. The menu was a little confusing when ordering wings. There was a different price for boneless and bone-in wings, but it was hard to decipher the menu. Even the lady agreed because she was a little confused also. There were a few different wing flavors to choose from. They had the traditional flavors, but I wanted to try something different. They had a tandoori flavor which I had to try. They also had an Indian pizza which I'm looking forward to trying out in the future. It took about a 15 minute wait, not long. When we got home we tried the pizza. It was good. Nothing special. Plain Pepperoni pizza. I'll have to try the Indian pizza next time. Maybe a pepperoni pizza for the kid and an Indian pizza for me. Then I tried the wings. The wings were great! Big sized chicken wings. The flavor was also great, the meat was moist and juicy. Cooked perfectly. And for the price, I'd buy those wings any day over other places that specialize in wings. The other good thing about this place is I think they're open late, like 12 AM. I'll keep this place in mind when I get the late night munchies. I was in desperate need to order a ton of pizzas for a work event and a lot of places wouldn't deliver to our address nor for the time we needed the pizzas. I called Chicago's the night before at like 9:45 p.m. and she was so kind to write down my order and address. She said they would deliver right at 11:30. The next day a man called to verify my order was still good to go and to collect payment since it was a large amount. Two guys showed up at the front door maybe 10 minutes after the scheduled time and apologized for traffic (not a big deal). Everything was super accurate and looked really pretty. The pizza was interesting and okay. I'm from out of town and a friend recommended this place for dinner during our visit. It certainly is a twist, but it's far from anything Chicago-esque. The crust was a basic hand toss, not a deep dish. The toppings were unique and definitely leaning towards the Indian-food aspect. The chicken on the tikka masala was super dry. The red sauce on all of the pizzas were closer to a sweetened spaghetti sauce than a typical pizza marinara. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it was just a tinge of "different". My husband and I came in around 6:00 on a Friday to see what this place was all about :) I gave them 4 stars not 5, because they have a little improvement on some of the food. I'll explain below. Parking here can be a challenge, so be cautious. They share the parking lot with the hotel.... so it was kinda of mess to find parking. The restaurant is impeccably clean! Everything in here was spotless! The staff here is a 5 STAR FOR SURE!!! They really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to understand the sauces and food options. They have a few TVs, but they just had pandora or something playing. My husband had two different types of wings and I had a vegan pizza. We both split the Samosas. With saying that, let's get into the food. I ordered the vegan Paneer pizza which was suppose to be like naan bread. The bread on this is more like a bread style pizza, not very doughy.... more bread like and not naan like. I'm not sure if there are multiple types of naan... so I'm not judging there.... just sayin. The ranch dressing is that thin cheap kind... not the high quality creamy ones, which we love. Wings.... We got a large half and half pizza (you can do half and half for large or extra large pizzas) If you like lamb it's a MUST try! It's one of the best pizzas I've ever had and I'm not even a fan of lamb. My husband likes lamb so I did half lamb and half tandoori chicken, thinking I'd eat the chicken. But we find ourselves near the airport at dinner time and what's conveniently between us and work...Chicago's Pizza with a Twist. The first thing I notice (after the attached Econolodge) is how clean the dining area is. Following a tip from a friend we ordered a medium Donner Kabob pizza, no cilantro (allergic) and boneless Hot wings. Unfortunately, it took over 30 minutes to table. Wouldn't you know it...the wings were covered with a cilantro garnish. After sincere apologies another batch went in and we had to take them to go. The food was fantastic. The wings truly could win awards. The pizza was great, too! The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I wish we had more than just Pepsi products to chose from. Oh well.
