OMG Rico's Pizza started in Sacramento about 40 years ago they have probably the best pizza you've ever tasted they used to make a 36-in pizza and if you and one other person can eat the entire thing they give you 50 bucks which would be like about 350 right now today cuz minimum wage was about a buck 25 back then and you get your picture up on the wall and one time when senior cut day I ate all but one piece and my friends made me leave cuz we were going to see the movie Jaws but yeah these people really make an amazing Pizza thick crust it's like nobody else's Pizza I strongly recommend checking them out and the reasonable price they're not like the pizza guys that charge you 50 bucks for a pizza a salad and a couple chicken legs their pizza is good but it's not worth the money believe it or not one pizza place I would never go to that I tried and it was amazing and the company is being bought out Pizza Hut I never liked their pizza but I tried it here and it was just as good as everybody else's but this is all about Rico's and I strongly recommend you try this place they're reasonably priced and their food is amazing I believe they have a salad bar and specials for lunch kind of like all you can eat kind of thing at a reasonable price definitely check them out you'll definitely enjoy it if you're a pizza person read more

We've only had Ricco's once since the pandemic and it wasn't great (pre-pandemic it was our go-to pizza spot), but it went downhill majorly after the pandemic. Mostly the chicken wings. The meat quality is terrible. The pizzas are pretty decent still. Ordered via online and it didn't state it had mushrooms on the Mexican pizza and it definitely did. That was so disappointing. We came here about 4:30pm on a Sunday when we could not decide where to get something to eat. We had been to one of the Mexican restaurants in the same small strip mall before so we were somewhat familiar with the general location. We entered and discovered the interior was pretty small and the tables and benches were setup cafeteria style. The exterior windows have some form of bars/protection on both the inside and out. The menu selections were displayed on menu boards both on the wall to the left of the counter with pictures and as a list on the wall behind the order counter. We were amazed they had 7 different sizes of pizzas and had never seen anything like that before. My wife ordered a small Hawaiian pizza and I ordered a small meat lovers pizza along with a soda and water. We did notice they had a few bottled beers (Modelo, Corona and Blue Moon) as well as Budweiser on tap. My wife went up to the soda machine and the woman who had taken our order let us know that she had to turn the machine on in order for it to dispense. We thought that was strange and we wondered if that is to prevent stealing? There was only one other customer seated but there were several people who came in to pick up take out orders. While we were waiting for our pizzas, a man came in with a bag and went up to the counter and pulled out pieces of clothing and asked the employee and my wife if they liked brand new stuff and proceeded to try and get either of them to show interest. They both declined and he left. Our pizzas arrived a short time later and looked pretty good. They tasted pretty good too. Mind blowing good....no. Decent.....yes. The prices seem comparable with other pizza places in town but the atmosphere and ability to relax and enjoy a meal as a couple or family is definitely lacking. There are many other options in town that provide that so we likely won't be back. We do feel it would be a good option for pickup. Oh I forgot to mention the TV in the corner of dining area was blaring a Mexican soccer match in Spanish which we could not understand. Not really what I would have preferred. read more

Rocco's pizza is located on Sutro just next to the Salvation Army and it is worth the visit. If you happen to be a Reno local then you'll be happy to know Rico's has everything Pizza Plus has to offer but, also still includes chicken wings in their pizza buffet! And the buffet occurs on weekend as well. The restaurant is small and fizzy with plenty of room for friends and family to gather for a night out. Found this place on Google maps and decided to give it a try. My husband and I are pleasantly surprised. There is a lunch buffet that offers chicken wings, fries, and various pizza. Start with the wings. Great flavor and perfect amount of crisp to them; the fries have a great seasoning taste and the pizza is all good. I hate to rate this place so low because the staff if super friendly and helpful but in todays food environment the quality just has to be higher. The pizza prices are as high as other places in the area that have better quality crust and ingredients. The crust tastes and feels frozen and the pepperoni is light on flavor. None of us liked the chicken wings as all the sauces tasted like a mix of BBQ and wing sauce. Found this place on GrubHub and I really wish I hadn't. Where do we start... let's start with advertising in terms of menu... 4lb bucket of wings... HAHAHAHAHAHA NO!!! 25 wings was the count. Far from filling a bucket and CERTAINLY NOT 4lbs worth. Maybe they were before they were overcooked, dry, and practically brittle and inedible. Drown them in their bbq based hot or nitro sauces, which were also a joke, and you might choke them down. End result... into the vertical file!!! Cheese bread? Hmm... prefab, previously frozen dough was the base, throw on some rubbery mozzarella and PRESTO!! My granddaughter could have made this in an Easy Bake Oven! At least brush some olive oil and garlic on there - try to impress someone... JUST TRY! And celery sticks... try fresh celery... I BEG YOU!!! You know how celery has that hard texture when it's not fresh? You guessed it! #FAILURRIFIC Needless to say, dinner was ruined and neither the restaurant or GrubHub can fix it since they cannot be reached when GrubHub calls them to get my refund! We were going to Tacos El Rey when we saw Riccos hidden away. We suddenly were in the mood of pizza! We went in, not at all packed, it smelt amazing. We were greeted right away, we ordered a small combo. It was ready within 20 min, we walked to the nearby bakery in the mean time. The food was amazing! I would've taken a picture but it was gone so fast. The pizza is thick, not in a doughy way. The wings were my favorite, we ordered mild. They were sweet but not too sweet with the right amount of heat! I will definitely be a longtime fan of theirs! read more

I have generally dealt with Ricco's a little less than once a week; carryout orders only, and never pizza: usually, chicken tenders. Tonight, I didn't get everything I was led to expect, for my money, and was charged more, for the same carryout, than I paid last time. And I realized that this kind of thing had happened before. Not frequently, but once is too often. I must acknowledge that the food is good, but the contempt for me, implied by this kind of treatment, leaves a taste in my mouth. I could keep dealing with them, and just check the details, each time, before leaving the place, but if it ever occurs to me that that might be necessary, I'm dealing with the wrong people. I was excited to try this place because I deliver food for Uber, and I had picked up a pizza from here and it was nice and heavy, not skimpy like some places! So I finally got the chance to order a small combo. It was $14.00!!! And it was so disappointing. No ingredients on the first third of pizza, not even sauce, it was supposed to have linguisa, not even one piece was on it... a few little pieces of sausage A few pieces of onions. I can't compliment these guys any more than I am about to! I just ordered off of Grubhub for some delivery. It's getting around the time that my order should have arrived, and I get a phone call from the restaurant stating that apparently the Grubhub delivery driver already delivered the order when they didn't, and also stated that they never even picked up the food, not only that but they also called Grubhub and had them contact me about a refund. So I went through that whole process and still wanted my order of course, because their food is delicious! So I put the order in and just received my order in a fast manor and not only that they threw in a coke and a very nice note that I'll share! I highly recommend these guys for all of your pizza and more needs! They know what they are doing as a restaurant and they know how to satisfy their customers! Ricco's is a great pizza place. It's one of my favorites. I found it thanks to a friend. When I lived closed by I would go and get a calzone every other week. The staff was very nice and they knew my order after a few visits. Their pizzas come in a lot of sizes and they have great specials. They also have a buffet in the morning that is really good. Like I stated before I always get the calzone and it's the best. The only reason it has 4 stars is because parking can be a nightmare, the little shopping center where it's located is too small and it can be hard to find a place to park when it's busy. read more

I have to agree with some of the reviewers. The pizza is fine, not fantastic, not bad, just...fine. I have not had the wings or other menu items except for the one that I am here to rave about. The jalapeño poppers are phenomenal. There is the firm and satisfying crunch of the breading, fried to perfection, the slight heat from the pepper and the perfect tang of the cream cheese filling. Best I've had in a very very long time, and I order them any time I see them on a menu. I won't order them anymore unless I am ordering them from Ricco's. I have no clue how my wife and I ended up here. This place is tucked away on Sutro right where we get our Carne and other items. Anyways we took 3 kids and did the lunch buffet's. I ordered a large Meat Lover's pizza through UberEats. Unfortunately what arrived was a large pizza with the ingredients of a medium 1.5 topping. Sliced into 12 pieces, there was an average of 1 pepperoni per slice. On half the slices I would find a nickel sized shrunken piece of meat that might've been salami if it were large enough to taste. Meatballs were miserable dots the size of marbles, maybe 3 per slice. If all of the meat were in the center of the pizza, I could take two bites per slice and the rest would be mediocre free cafeteria cheese pizza. Ingredients are the last thing a pizza joint should be stingy with. Even buffets have better pizza than this. Never ordering from here again. read more
