I visited Mountain Mike's as a Yelp event/offer, and I got a free large pizza! Ordering online was very simple and they have lots of options. The food was really good. I got the pineapple bbq and it had a hearty amount of chicken! But my visit started off on a rough note--I wasn't greeted when I walked in, just oddly stared at, and I had to initiate everything. When I got my food, the interaction was minimal--just a quick question about the receipt. I don't recall them even saying "Thank you". The vibe felt off, especially since it wasn't busy. My experience could have been improved with even a small amount of business-initiated interaction. I'm grateful that I got to try this place with Yelp's help. We ordered our pizzas on the app this morning to enjoy them during the Super Bowl. I had the wild veggie at an event a couple of weeks ago and loved it so I had to order it. I got the small. Hubby is a meat lover and wanted the Everest, medium. Our pizzas were ready when I arrived! Both were delish! We will definitely be ordering from here again. We were treated to two large pizzas as there were two elites and we enjoyed the pepperoni and Hawaiian and the artichoke, mushroom, garlic pizzas They allowed us to choose our own ingredients. The thing I really like about my Mountain Mike's pizza is the crust. It is chewy, tasty and is covered with toppings. They do not skimp on anything. The pepperoni is a bit spicy for my taste but if you like pepperoni and the spice doesn't bother you, this pizza was covered with the sausage. We went to Mountain Mike's last night for the first time. Every staff member was super friendly. The pizza was really good like it should be. I would like to try to see if they have a thinner crust, but I don't know if they have that on the menu. They had quite a variety of pizza. They have a salad bar, which I actually love salad bars since they are so hard to find anymore. And they kept bringing pizza out setting them on their pizza bar. Which must be for lunch probably. They don't skimp on the toppings. It's what a pizza should be. I'm excited that they are getting one at the Summit mall in South Reno since I live in South Reno. Mountain Mike's makes great classic style pizzas, and it hits the spot on most pizza Fridays. The quality of the ingredients and the end result is high, although every now and then we get a pizza that has too much sauce. Cons: sometimes the team members working the cashiers don't move the line along as quickly as it seems they could on a Friday night. There's not a lot of space to wait around and hang for your pizza unless you claim a seat at a table for customers, which can lead to a gaggle of people hovering. The lunch buffet is a great deal! I've only tried it from this location. It includes endless pizza, salad bar items and fountain drinks. They had two to three pizzas out at a time that were constantly being replenished with different styles. They even had a dessert option. First off, when the food came out a young man with curly hair almost threw the pizzas on the table, extremely rude. 2nd off the fries were cold and not cooked. The first thing I noticed about this restaurant was the kind, friendly, and smiling employee. My friend and I came here to try their pizza buffet. The pizza buffet includes a salad bar, garlic bread, and several varieties of pizza. The salad bar has a variety of veggies and dressings. I was a little sad they didn't have cottage cheese. But, was please by the artichoke heats and olives. I asked if they would be able to add a gluten-free pizza to the buffet. He asked me what kind of pizza I would like. I told him he could make anything he preferred. He asked me politely again, "What would you like." So I asked for a combo. He informed me it would take about 10 minutes and he would let me know. When the pizza was ready he came and let me know. The gluten-free crust was the best crust I have ever had. Many gluten-free crusts are just ok. The pizza was delicious. I ate my fill. There was a good amount of pizza sauce to crust. The toppings were plentiful as they were falling off. All the employees as well as the Manager at this establishment are incredible, kind, and friendly. I will be back. Another great location for gluten-free food in the Reno-Sparks area. We had lunch at Mountain Mike's Pizza buffet yesterday; we arrived just before the crowds walked in, so our 5-person party were able seat comfortably at large table (with more room to spare) in the back of the room. The restaurant buffet offered a good variety of pre-mixed salads (potato, macaroni and pasta) and plenty of ingredients to build-your own. The salad bar looked very orderly and the ingredients tasted fresh. When I approached the pizza station of the buffet, I was able to take the last slice of combination pizza and a slice of (what seemed to be) BBQ chicken pizza. The pies tasted like it sat under the heat lamp a bit too long and it was too doughy for my liking. The restaurant brought out a couple of fresh pies when a few more people showed up; unfortunately, I was already full from my salad and the two slices of pizzas. Decided last minute (8:30pm) that we wanted pizza. They're open to MIDNIGHT I missed Mountain Mike's from when I lived in CA. Recently, we had received coupons in the mail and we tried the 1-topping, small order of cheesesticks, 12 wings and either a 2 liter or 2 dine in sodas for 48.99 + tax. What a deal! When I called, Cami was such help over the phone with answering questions while taking the order. Thank you Cami for being patient and helping me place a successful order! Entering the restaurant, it is a complete renovation from when the current location was a competitor. It's looks great! Typically, I like eating Mountain Mike's hot and fresh at their restaurant but thankfully we live right down the road. I went to the restroom after ordering and while I was on the toilet the ladies room went black. Like no light at all. The timer is too short. Tbh I got a little scared. But I realized I had my Phone on me and I turned on my flashlight. I told the manager on duty (preet I think) about the safety hazard and he told me it was on 5 min, how could it be if I hadn't even wiped yet.
