When it comes to an authentic family owned and operated pizza parlor in northern Nevada, I will have to say that "SouthCreek Pizza" is Reno's best kept secret. Ever since opening back in 2013, they have gained hundreds of positive Yelp reviews over the years. One of my good friends (whom I've known for over 35 years) recommended me to try this place out and I am so glad that I did. Located at the South Creek Retail Center, SouthCreek Pizza is situated in a quiet outdoor strip mall directly off of S. Virginia St and adjacent to Foothill Rd in the southern part of Reno. I came here with my lady during the afternoon on Friday 7/3/2026 at around 1:00pm. Parking was quite easy to find as this is a more intimate outdoor plaza with a minimal amount of eateries but other type of businesses including a dental office, a nail salon, a jewelry store, and much more. Once inside, the overall layout was very spacious with an abundant amount of indoor seating. The wooden tables & chairs create an upscale yet timeless look. However, since it was a beautiful July day, we decided to sit outside as the weather was a comfortable 80°F complete with giant red umbrellas to help shield us from the warm Nevada sun. Before I get into full detail with what we ordered, this place was as authentic as possible. So much to the point that the dough they use to bake their pizzas is actually imported from Italy! And if that doesn't get your attention, the 900°F Stefano Ferrara wood-fired brick oven was imported straight from Naples, Italy. Their menu offers a very diverse and eclectic variety of small plates, salads, and of course their traditional and specialty pizzas. We decided to go simplistic by ordering a custom pie consisting of 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni/jalapeño. Prior to when we received our pizza, we received our spices; homemade basil flakes & crushed red pepper, and shredded mozzarella cheese to add to our pie. Once the actual pizza arrived, it was piping hot and looked amazing. The first bite of this and I was quite impressed with the cheese and more notably, the crust. I will say that the dough used in their pizzas is undoubtedly better than 99% of the pizzas I have eaten in the United States. And that is saying a lot considering I've had some delicious pizzas over the years in places like San Francisco and New York City. All in all, "SouthCreek Pizza" in Reno, NV is the real deal. All of the employees I met including our hostess and the chefs who make the magic happen in the kitchen were absolutely wonderful and gave me a ton of insight of how their business was created. The ambiance and even the prices were quite reasonable as our pizza came to less than $20 after tax + tip. With amazingly delicious pizza and a very cozy yet intimate dining experience, I am giving SouthCreek Pizza a perfect five-star rating.
We love this place! Our favorite pizza in town! I love trying the special pizza, but my absolute favorite is the Bromad. We enjoy sitting at the bar when it is just my husband and I. So much fun to watch all the cooking action behind the bar. Service is always spot on!
Came for our most recent girls night and it was so good! It was my first time dining here and I was excited to try a new pizza. It was busy but we were sat right away. Our service was fast and the food came out quickly despite it being a pretty busy night. We got a bunch of things to share for the table. We tried the solstice salad, the wedge, and a Caesar. All three salads were good but the solstice stole the show for me. Sweet and perfect for spring. We ended up getting the pizza girl, the Linda, and one more that I unfortunately cannot remember the name of but all three were so good. The Linda had lemon which I thought was wild to put on a pizza but it ended up being my favorite one. Delishhhhhh. Ended the night with a s'mores dessert pizza and it was the perfect sweet treat before we left I will totally be back!
Happy to report that I've discovered a new staple in my pizza rotation! Southcreek is tucked away in the shops across from Winco and it took me several years to realize it was there. I wish I had found out sooner because their pizza is GREAT! It's a little on the pricey side but well worth it for the quality. They have a nice outdoor seating area and several beers on tap as well to make it a great summer time patio meal. I got to try the Linda and the Pear-a-dice on this trip which were both excellent pies! I'm looking forward to going back and trying out the rest of the menu. Also napping to get my hands on a slice of their house made cheesecake that they were unfortunately sold out of this time around.
I can't stop thinking about my dinner at SouthCreek last week! We got the Pizza Girl and the Linda and both were incredible!! We were seated very quickly and our server was very kind and attentive. I 100% see myself coming back to SouthCreek!
An established pizza restaurant with great food, excellent service, and a great location if you are in South Reno. It is good for families, date night, and getting together with friends...basically everyone. The salads complement the pizza, but they have a lot of appetizers to choose from. SouthCreek is a must-try if you haven't been here before.
Pizza is a very personal preference sort of thing. I get that, but for me this had to be one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Their menu comes across as a Bougee cuisine but the pizza makes Dominos look good. We had a simple Pepperoni and Sausage. The crust was wet, floppy and chewy. The thick part of the crust was hard and chewy and not in a good way. We ordered the Solstice Salad, which to be honest wasn't bad. The dressing lacked flavor but wasn't terrible. There are far better options in town.
First ever family visit to SouthCreek! We had a great time, even when it was super busy we got seated in a decent amount of time and the quality of everything was spot on, great job team. Love the ambiance here every time, such a cute place and very tastefully decorated. SouthCreek is definitely a vibe, and the staff is just as friendly as the owners themselves. I'm going to go out a limb to say that I have a new favorite traditional style pizza in Reno, and the crust here is really the standout, it's incredible. The entire family agreed, kids and all, this is the new favorite spot, love it. Can't wait for the next visit, need to try the shrimp everyone is raving about.... Pro tip if you need an appetizer, the ribs are fantastic as well...
**Takeout Review Only*** - High expectations but this just missed the mark for a few reasons. We did takeout because we called and the guy on the phone couldn't tell us average wait time at 5 pm. Then when we arrived there, at 7:20 pm to pick up our food, the place was 3/4 empty on a Saturday night. So we ended up eating out of the trunk of the rental car. Very disappointing as we would have liked to experience our meal dining inside. On the bright side, our food was ready right when we got there. Hostess was very pleasant and nice. When we picked up our food, the pizza was somewhat limp. We had the Frankie P, pear salad and ribs because someone on YouTube said the ribs were excellent. Sadly they were the worst item. They were dry. It was like they were made a few days ago and they reheated way too long. It needed a sauce to handle the dryness. When the salad is the star for a pizza place, that's when you scratch your head and wonder whether it is worth eating there again?

I had my birthday party here with approximately 20 people. The restaurant was great to book and work with for a large group. We initially had reserved the outside patio, but due to notorious Reno weather it decided to storm. The restaurant quickly shifted gears and had us set up inside with 2 large tables in the back. It worked out perfectly so we could all sit but still move around and mingle. The food and the drinks kept coming and everything was delicious! Shout-out to the great customer service! It is not always easy to book for a group but everyone here made it effortless. Thank you!
I was here for a birthday party last Saturday. We were originally suppose to be out in the Patio, but it was raining, so it was moved inside. The seating was ackward for starters and the service fell short. There was just no continuity in the service. I was disappointed because we were there to celebrate my friend and I wanted it to be special for her. I have been here many times before and I have always left with a very positive experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. Also, although the Pizza we ordered was good, the overall experience pretty much overshadowed the food.
Pretty good pizza A bit expensive, but still worth a visit. I'm very picky when it comes to pizza but I'd say try it out if you're in the area. Pretty good service too!

If you're looking for great wood-fired pizza in Reno, this family-owned local spot is definitely worth checking out! From the moment you walk in, the dining area feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully decorated. It has that cozy feel that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. The appetizers are fantastic, especially the meatballs and the ricotta appetizer. Both are packed with flavor and are the perfect way to start the meal. We've tried several of the pizzas, and honestly, we've loved every single one. If I had to pick favorites, the Bromad and the Frankie P are at the top of my list. The pizzas are delicious, but what really stands out to me is the crust. They have some of the best pizza crust in the Reno area--perfectly cooked with just the right balance of chewiness and char from the wood-fired oven. And dont even get me started on their ranch, Im pretty sure it is home made and absolutely to die for. I also really love their rotating selection of draft beers. Every time I visit, there's something new to try, which keeps things interesting and gives me another reason to come back. Whether you are in need of a great family dinner spot or a fun date night, South Creek is a great option. Happy hour Tuesday through Friday was great! My daughter and I ordered the Bianca pizza which is like a Margarita but with olive oil instead of a marina sauce. Delicious! We also ordered a Margarita pizza since those pizzas were only Thirteen dollars each. We love their Caesar Salad! The small can be shared and still have leftovers. Our service was phenomenal! Checked on us so many times to refill our Arnold Palmers and food! Bring cash unless you want to pay the 3 percent surcharge for using a credit card. We went to South Creek Pizza because we were craving something different after the Christmas holiday dinner fare. South Creek serves one of the best pizzas in town. Their wood-fired pizza oven makes the difference. I had the garden pizza and my hubby built his own that included onions and sausage. Their sausage is his favorite. Both were very delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. It's definitely a comfy locals place with lots of great pizza. read more

Probably the best pizza in the Reno area. I've been here a few times and loved everything I have gotten so far. My favorite has to be the Frankie P. I'm not a huge fan of red sauce so I love that it comes with evoo. The meats also blend really well with the hot honey. The ingredients are fresh and the dough is so soft. Whenever I dine in the service is great and they play good music too. Definitely my go-to pizza spot in Reno. read more
The staff consistently shines no matter what year, day or time we visit. The decor of the restaurant is well thought out and they are opening the patio seating soon. Other important thing to note, the best damn napkins in ALL of Reno! They are large, strong and pure perfection. These napkins could whoop ass on a Twisted Tea! Speaking of Tea, the real deal. The flavor profile is off the damn hook, I need a gallon of this every day for optimum results. The open kitchen where you can watch you pie get worked is fantastic! A real wood fired pizza oven is no joke. So may cool entrees and apps from this unit. The Mozzarella app is along with the garbanzo beans. Every pizza is delicious, and we always get the "pear a dice" - pear/arugula/honey, smoked blue cheese dessert pie. read more

It has been a few years since I have been here because I'm rarely in South Reno. I'm happy to report that this place still gets 5 stars! We came here for a girls night and had a wonderful time. Service was great, drinks were refilled in a timely manner, and food came out without a long wait. We decided to do family-style, splitting several salads and pizzas. For salads, we got the solstice salad, wedge salad, and caesar salad. We loved all of them! The solstice salad had pear and goat cheese on it which was a hit. The bleu cheese crumbles on the wedge were the best part, and we got anchovies on the side with the caesar which added some nice flavor. For pizzas, we split three of them: the Frankie P, Pizza Girl, and The Linda. Everyone in our group thought they were excellent! Some people loved the lemon on The Linda. The Frankie P was our only one with meat, the hot soppressata was really good with the hot honey drizzled on top. My favorite pizza had to be the Pizza Girl, specifically because of the freshness with the ricotta plus the spice from the jalapenos! We split a s'mores dessert pizza at the end which was a perfect sweet treat to cap off the meal. We sat inside this time, but I'd love to come back and enjoy their patio as the weather warms up. This spot continues to be a reliable place to get some fantastic pizza and service! read more

As a New Yorker, my pizza standards are extremely high. I have yet to have good pizza west of the Mississippi and this place is the first. Customerservice was amazing. Food was fast and delicious. read more

I came here for my son's birthday. He ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza all to himself. He did not finish it but said it was delicious. We also got the garlic shrimp appetizer. The shrimp had so much flavor. I ordered "The Linda" it has ricotta, lemon, honey and more but those are the flavor combos I love. The service was great. Everyone was friendly. read more

Ordered to-go this evening, the spinaci and the heat seeker pizza. When we arrived we realized the pizza is not kept under any heat source, so by the time we got it home parts of the pizza was lukewarm and seemed slightly underdone. The spinaci left something to be desired as we hoped for a pizza a little on the cheesier side as it mentioned four different cheese's being used on the menu and it was lacking. The heat seeker seemed burnt as the crust was very black, also could have used more honey. We also left disappointed that we were charged a credit card surcharge and no one had mentioned that upon purchase. We originally decided to visit based on an Edible Reno Tahoe article picturing roasted red peppers and mozzarella, which we were told was not an offering on their menu, again leaving us disappointed and confused. Not certain we will be returning, hopefully other patrons have a better experience than we did. read more

After not feeling the love somewhere else, we went to Southcreek Pizza right around 4pm for dinner. We were nicely greeted, immediately seated, and promptly served by Kevin. We found the place to be nice and cozy and perfect for a glass of wine while we waited for a meatball appetizer. We then ordered a garden salad and a hand crafted-wood fired-brick oven pepperoni pizza. Although, the food was delicious, what made our night was the incredible service provided by Kevin. read more
Millicent was great. The pizza is great. They have a pretty good happy hour We ordered the margarita de Blanco pizzas for 10 bucks each. And they have beer specials and wine specials on their happy hour for the house wine. Definitely a place to check out and try for the happy hour 3 to 530. It's a must try in S. Creek Shopping Center right off old foothill Road. read more
