Been excited for this one since I heard the quiet whispers of a new pizza spot by the proprietor of R Town that was taking an east coast approach. I cannot speak about the authenticity of how good the gabagool is compared to the finest slices in the Bronx. But I will tell you the food is all amazing. I knew more items were coming. I waited because I wanted to enjoy it all! Between visits I have to say, everything was delicious and I'll be back here several times. First note is the white pie is in a realm of its own. Super simple and simply unforgettable. The whipped ricotta and lemon is just a dynamic duo. I stopped by again once they had their fries/wings and knots. Let me tell you if you're a garlic fiend or scared of vampires the triple garlic is fantastic and will definitely lap vampires at bay. Their fries are thick but have a nice battered crunch to them. The wings were huge and delicious. The knots were pillowy and fantastic. They also have salads which I tried some of a friends and it's been a while since I had that nostalgic pizza place salad. They also have a unique lineup of bottled sodas and cheesecake for dessert provided by The Recipe Box which is another favorite food spot of mine. They just recently added a cannoli type dessert which I have not had but I assume is just as great as everything else here. If you're up for a family hangout or a classic date night they're attached to Press Start which is an arcade with a bar inside that always rotates an awesome lineup of beverages that you can pair with any of the pizza and other items here. The pizza spot itself is small and more of a grab and go setup, they do have a small wrap around counter. You're more than welcome to eat on the patio or at the tables inside the arcade. Can't wait to see what they create in the future!

I need to update my review and do 5/5 I since have gone again and no abdominal pain. I just can't tolerate ricotta so it's a me issue. Also the brownies are a must if you have a sweet tooth

Stopped by while waiting for a hair appt--ended up picking up more slices after the appt for dinner. White pizza was delicious--the dough had a good chew and the lemon added a nice bright burst that cut through. Want to check out their other flavors next time I'm in Mid-town.

Have been blown away every time I've dined at R Town, so I went into Dough Cheese Sauce with high expectations and they were still exceeded!! We got a full pie of Gabagool and it was delicious! They were slammed in there as well, so I'm glad that we ordered online, I would recommend it if you're trying to get a whole pizza. The vegan hot honey was very interesting! It doesn't exactly taste like honey, it's got more of a vinegar taste to it, but it still went great on a slice. The parking situation can be a little difficult down there but it is midtown so, that's how it is. But there is a small parking lot and lots of surrounding street parking.

Dough Cheese Sauce is hands down one of my new favorite pizza spots! The service is always amazing, the pizza slices are delicious, and the whipped ricotta on top takes everything to a whole new level. The prices are great too, especially for the quality you get. I'll definitely be a forever customer!

Pretty quick service for a long line after a downtown music festival. It's New York style pizza with an option of slices or full pies. If you get a slice it is reheated. I got the classic and the pizza of the month but this was in the last hour of business so it honestly wasn't very good. Definitely would have to retry for a whole pie or come earlier when the slices are more fresh. Really enjoyed the drink selection and the whole vibe of the place. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will be back to try a fresher pie but until then, 3 stars.

Best pizza in Reno hands down. Was a little expensive for 2 larges but man it was worth it! The staff was super cool and they sell by the slice! It's a pick up and go but they are attached to an arcade with tables. Music blasting and the staff was having fun. If you're visiting def grab a slice or a whole pie! They nailed the extra mushrooms for my lady! Thank you guys!

I thought Dough Cheese Sauce was going to be a hit but it unfortunately was not. I would compare their single slices to the taste of pizza at Whole Foods--although cheaper at Whole Foods. They also offer full size pizza, for an insane price. This place is a pass.

I was stoked to try this pizza when I learned the owner of R Town was behind it! While I love his Detroit style, I also love a good New York style slice. I thought the quality and flavor were excellent! We were even given an extra slice because they decided one of our was too small - great service! I'm excited to see what menu items they add later. The space is quite small, but I like that. It's nice to have a spot in town, that's walkable, to pop in for a quick slice, especially open a little later on the weekends. Midtown is missing that. I am hoping they can add some more outdoor seating though; they JUST opened, so I'm not knocking stars for that.

This place is really good! I didn't know it was connected to Press Start. They had lots of options ready to go. The white pie slice was my favorite. I could easily order a whole pizza of that, lol. Oh and the BEST garlic fries!!! I can't even tell you how amazing they are with ranch. It's a grab and go spot. You can go next door with your food too just know it might be more limited seating. The ingredients were super good and just a good slice of pizza. The service was nice. Cool spot for a slice next to an arcade. I know this won't be my last visit!

I am a sucker for a slice of pizza and this place rivals our favorite slice, Pizza my Heart. The White Pie was everything I could've dreamed of, fresh and bright flavors, perfect lemon slice baked in, ricotta melted tying all the flavors together. I am not a huge fan of red sauce but my husband had me try a bite of his and boy does your red sauce shine as well!! The wings were perfectly cooked, loved the peach BBQ!! Everything came out quick and piping hot!

Pizza by the slice NY style! Big 18" pies. They will have wings and other apps in the future. This is the second pizza concept from Marvin of R-Town Pizza, featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. The "White Pie" is olive oil, mozzarella, shaved lemon, ricotta and black pepper. This is the winner, it will make your toes curl. The Gabagool uses a mix of artisan ingredients and was our second favorite. They use the cupping pepperoni. Every slice has been a chef's kiss! The official opening is on the 30th of March. Great staff.

Came here on a Friday night. Was nervous with the Blues Brews festival, that would be crowded, nope. Plenty of parking spots, very chill vibe inside and friendly staff. Pricing is excellent for a slice ($5.20 for pepperoni) Cooked fast and HOT. Tasted amazing, and ranch was unique. Teriyaki wings came with green onions on them, fyi if you don't like those. They were standard, but nice to have another pizza slice joint. Will be back!

This place has some good pizza, salad and wings. Only thing that could use improvement is the seating.

It's clear they focus on quality from the dough to the sauce to the cheese to the toppings and they put in a healthy dose of passion, fun and love too. It's been a minute since I've stopped at this place but western lights festival brought me downtown and this was part of my plan from the go. I was excited to see that they added woodfired chicken wings, one of my personal favorite dishes anywhere and had to order them and these is absolutely did not disappoint and I'll be back for them again and again. Sometimes it's tough to get a really good crispy chicken wing out of a woodfired oven but this team nailed it in there, buffalo Parmesan sauce was divine, especially with a little bit of the house made ranch. The pizzas were also good, but I didn't like that. They served them in paper takeout boxes because even the short trip from the cutting table to us in that box steamed the pizza and made it super floppy. Toppings were sliding right off the pepperoni pizza we had and it just wasn't the best pizza experience Of the white pizza we tried with spinach and roasted garlic was awesome. I don't wanna held up a little better maybe because it didn't have sauce and the roasted garlic was perfect. Staff is super sweet and accommodating menu is diverse and interesting in and the vibes of West Street market are great for a date or a group so put this one on your list.

Unfortunately, we were stuck back in the rear corner of the building on this visit. The vibes back there are not nearly as nice as the up-front dining. Service was still good even though we were out of view of the main dining area. We started with the cauliflower appetizer. Very well cooked, perfectly tender, and the Calabrian chili oil was perfect for adding some spice. We then ordered entrees, which included the duck duo and a Caesar salad. The Caesar is nothing to write home about. It's fresh and from scratch, but it's just a Caesar. The duck duo came with both duck confit and duck breast. The duck confit was unreal. So tender and so flavorful. The duck breast was a bit tough for my liking, but I really enjoyed the sauce they used on the dish. Most of all, I was shocked by how good the dessert was. We ordered the cast-iron chocolate cake, and it was unbelievable. The sauce that bubbles away in the hot cast iron was spooned onto the rich cake and topped with vanilla ice cream. Nothing better! I miss the old Liberty that used to offer daily specials and killer deals on pasta and pizza, but the new Liberty ain't so bad. It might be a bit more pricey, but still a reasonable option for a nice dinner out in Reno.
