Ive been going here for a few years now. Everything I've had is delicious. The pizza is top notch. The tomato sauce is superb. However, all of these item are just bit players, supporting actors, understudies, to the true star of the show... the garlic knots. Pillows of fluffy dough bathed in oil and garlic. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza for pick up, i drove down there and the older women was in the middle of making the pizza as i walked in. I paid for the pizza with younger lady there and i had a comfortable seat as the pizza cooked, i like to get the pizza fresh and hot as soon as it comes out of the oven to bring it home still hot for the family. The inside of restaurant looked clean and cozy for dine in, tv's playing and holiday lights on. The pie with one topping and tax came to $21.47 which is alittle more than i would like to pay for a one topping large pizza but all in all it was cooked well and tasty still when i got home. Something to note is that if you want to do a half one topping pizza, it still cost the same amount for the one topping cost which i don't particularly like when restaurants do that. read more

My family and I went to Pizzaro's on a Saturday night at 6:00. Before heading there, I thought it might be crowded but that didn't stop us from going and when we arrived, there was only one other family there. I was pleasantly surprised! We were greeted by the waitress who was very friendly and she told us to sit wherever we'd like. For appetizers, we ordered Greek salad, cheesy garlic bread and bruschetta, all of which were phenomenal. The bruschetta were especially fresh and delicious. For entrees, my mom and I ordered the california dreamin pizza, absolutely amazing. The crust was crisp without being burnt and the toppings were plentiful. We loved it. We also ordered chicken parmigiana, which was also delicious and flavorful. Overall, we loved Pizzaro's and will absolutely be back!! read more

I love this place! Great pizza and the sauce is very good which is very important for a lot of the dinner meals. It's definitely the top choice when we want to have pizza in this area. Usually we will get the sides of meatballs and sausage which are also very good. Again not many places eating out have good meat like that. Everyone is very nice there too! Very friendly, great spot! Been here many times and had all kinds of food here. Their pizzas are very good. Not as good as New Haven pizza, but for the Valley area it's very good. Their large calzones are massive. I grew up with Larry when he used to be a co-owner of Roma pizzeria in Ansonia. Larry is a very talented mason and he built the brick oven. Now that he's on his own Pizarro's is just as good as the pizza I remember down at Roma. In fact, it's fabulous!! It's as good as any pizza you will find this side of Wooster Street in New Haven. Larry and his family run a nice little restaurant with a dining area that is cozy and charming. I love this place. read more

My family really enjoys this pizza but I'm vegan and *gasp* I don't eat cheese. Long story short: I appreciate the inclusion on the menu of "with or without mozzarella" because it is a lot less alienating than usual for someone who doesn't eat cheese. I've never been to Seymour before, but my family was driving from NY to MA and we decided to look for the best pizza place along the route. We were sold after reading other YELP reviews. My rating is actually 4.5 stars. Was it my favorite pizza? No. But it was very tasty. Without YELP, we would have driven by. From the outside it's just a pizza place in a small strip mall. Immediately after entering we were impressed. The restaurant is very nice inside. Clean. Well decorated. Was impressed to see how nice the bathrooms were too. Larry took care of us. We ordered 2 types of wings + some garlic knots. We all devoured them. Then, we had 3 types of pizza. My personal favorite was the Sicilian. The boys loved the Chicken Barbecue. I saved the name and address in my phone. We will definitely stop there again when we are driving through. read more

Very solid pizza joint in the valley. The bacon pizza in particular is very generous-so much bacon you can barely see the pizza! Excellent service is a big bonus too. They accept credit cards and while parking can be tough, you can almost make your own parking space if you are just picking up. I love their cherry pepper pizza too. One opportunity for improvement-the artichoke pizza. It's strange because the bacon is so right on, but the artichoke is beyond sparse. I've never seen one artichoke heart pulled apart and spread across an entire pizza. Ordering extra artichoke doesn't help, it's still almost the same sparse sprinkling of a few artichoke leaves. I've stopped trying to order artichoke pizza, but it's a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things because this is still hands down one of the better pizza places in the valley (second to roseland of course). read more

I've lived in this town for seven years, and longed for a supremely delicious pizza close to home. Having previously lived close to New Haven, that had been my usual jaunt for good pizza (Pepe's, of course). When this new place opened I of course was skeptical, after all, this is Seymour. The odds of a fantastical pizza to be found here are almost nil. Thought I'd give this place a chance. I entered around noon on a weekday, the place was nearly vacant except for two people sitting waiting for a take-out order. There was a young woman behind the counter, and a man shuffling pizzas inside the large brick oven (brick oven? In Seymour?! I'm already impressed!). The staff were friendly and efficient, quickly took my order, and literally seven minutes later, my pizza came out of that oven and was in a box ready to go. My family is Italian. We don't play around. Pizza is our jam. This was the test. My mom and I sat at her table with two dishes and each took a slice. As we began consuming our slices, I looked up at mom's eyes, we were both smiling. My "I'm on a diet I'll just have one slice" turned into four. There was no holding back, the gates of joy were opened. When we finally finished our lunch, a five minute conversation ensued between us about how glorious this pizza had been, how this is our New Favorite Local Pizza Place. A few nights later, I took my daughter and mom back and we dined-in. My daughter ordered a "small" plain calzone, and mom and I opted to share yet another pizza. A friendly handsome man apologized for the lack of a waitress (really? We didn't notice) and had taken our orders. The food came out quickly. The "small" calzone was rather large and my daughter enjoyed it (brought more than half home) Again, our pizza was heavenly. Best pizza around!! We order at least once a week, sometimes twice. Done a couple pizza parties and ordered with them. I have yet had a awful meal or bad experience with them. Fantastic food with wonderful and friendly staff. There have been times I'd have to wait a little bit longer once I get there for pickup because they get slammed, especially if it's a weekend night; I don't even mind waiting. I am in not hurry. Food is definitely worth the wait. One time my husband and I were on our way home from a party with crappy food and we were starving. It was about 15 minutes to closing and I wanted pizza so bad. Called them up and asked if they had any leftover pizza, to just throw it in the box and I'll eat it cold or warm it up at home. They said as long as I was there by 10pm before they close they'll have pizza for me. Luckily we live 1 minute up the street from them. Not only did I make it and they had a box of pizza for me ready, but it was also fresh and piping hot; absolutely made my night. My go to is their chef salad with creamy Italian dressing. The garlic knots, meatball grinders are also runner ups to my salad. There are too many good pizzas to pick my favorite. Seriously can't get enough of this place!! If they were to ever close down - I'd probably boycott pizza and be absolutely livid and annoyed with life. read more

Finally a pizza place in Seymour that does a good thin crust. We ordered 5 pies for a family event and normally have a pie left over, but this time not a slice was in sight! We had cheese, veggie, olive, pepperoni, and meatball. The meatball was slices of meat ball and not the crumbles (something I was told by meatball pizza lovers is a thing). So disappointed in this place...had high hopes since I read they are connected to Roma's . Can't speak for the pizza but the dinners were terrible. The sauce on the pasta tasted like someone had opened up a can of tomatoe paste and just smeared it on the pasta...so thick and bitter. It's about time a decent pizza place opened in the valley. Place doesn't deliver but well worth the effort picking up. Nestled next to a bar, pick up order on Friday night was tricky due to parking however as much patrons dining in, making orders from next door, and pick up--the food only took 12-15 minutes. Ordered the buffalo pizza, plain cheese, fried calamari and grilled chicken Caesar salad. All small orders but portions was abundant, the small salad easily could have been split between two adults. The pizza is excellent here, can't wait to go back and try different pizza specialties. read more

Very good, not skimpy with the meat. Good crust and that's saying something for pizza in the Valley. Close to New Haven style but living next to New Haven, I can say it's not quite there. The calzone could have used a little more ricotta but it was very good. All in all, definitely a place to stop and enjoy. read more
