I love the Malibu salad! Always great service and solid pizza. Recent renovations give the storefront a nice facelift but thankfully still the cozy place I've come to love. I usually do take out but they're one of the few that deliver to my area. Pizzas can be customized. read more

I decided I didn't want to go out last night so I ordered in. This is not my first time here and it's definitely not my first time ordering delivery. I have been ordering this pizza for years. I love there pizza. It's crispy and the sauce is flavorful. I have been coming here for over six years and there pizza is consistently good. The woman that takes the order over the phone is always polite. There also not shy about the toppings. Delivery usually takes about 45 minutes. read more

Artans Pizza - Sausage, Peppers and Onion Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Shelton, Connecticut

I cannot stress enough that I LOVE THIS PLACE! Their Penne Alla Vodka and Chicken Parmesan / Chicken Marsala are to die for. If you have never tried it, you must. I will let your tastebuds speak for themself. Another great menu item is their stuffed pizza rolls - highly recommend getting it with chicken and bacon. It is cheesy, crispy, and packed with flavorful. The portions are generous so be ready to share with others or have leftovers. Their staff has always been very kind and due to our frequent visits they know my family by name. I look forward to our visits to not only have some great food, but to have some great conversation. While they do not have indoor dining, it is a great place for takeout. read more

I used to think that Santini's was the best nearby pizza with a great price. I'm starting to think that Artan's has got my heart now. The sauce on the pizza is DELICIOUS They are NOT cheap with the meat and definitely put plenty of toppings The hot cherry peppers are my favorite. read more

Friendly staff and amazing food! My go to place in Shelton! If you haven't tried them you're missing out.

This place just made it on my list for best pizza places in the valley! My husband read the reviews for this place, and said people are saying it's really good! So per word of mouth, we had to try it! Please don't be deceived by the outside! The pizza here is DELICIOUS!! Nothing more authentic than a family owned restaurant that makes bomb pizza! The crust is not too crispy or thin. I love that they are generous with toppings! We had the meat lover's pizza. And the Regazza pizza!! Highly RECOMMEND if you love artichokes! Full of flavor! The sauce is yummy! We ordered takeout, and calling our order in was a smooth process. They were busy, but the wait on the phone wasn't long. And the wait for the pizza was a normal wait time. The lady on the phone was polite and courteous. If you're in the area, try this place! If you're on rt 8 looking for a bite to eat...great location right off the highway! read more

If you like Sicilian style pizza try their Sicilian meat lover delight pizza. So good, and filling. They pile on the topping.

Yeah put on hold for three minutes. Down to the line. Just get Dominos. Same shitty quality but faster.

Pizza was super soggy totally inedible. Tried to even throw it in the oven to repair it. Nope! Never again read more

We ordered through the Slice app food from Artans today. All of the choices were so good! The meatball grinder was delicious. The chicken supreme pizza was a great choice. The ranch dressing I chose and bread that came with the Caesar salad made it even more delicious. The prices were good and the food plenty. We will be ordering from Artans again soon !! read more

Not only was the pizza soggy, they don't pay their employees. They were found liable for wage theft - stealing from people who don't have a lot to begin with. Horrible service, horrible staff. I ordered a single large cheese pizza at an off time and was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. I arrive exactly 45 mins later and was told it was almost ready so I sit down and wait. During this time 2 customers come in and state to the cashier that they are early and start small talk with the cook. The cook then hands out what most likely was my cheese pizza to the other guy and he was surprised because he just ordered it. This happened twice. I had to wait an hour and a half of to get one large cheese pizza because the cook wants to look cool to his boyfriend loyal customer. The pizza sucked and the service sucks. Take your business somewhere else and avoid the frustration Artans will surely provide! read more

I was born and raised in Shelton, CT but, now live in Arizona. I was introduced to Artan's by my former bf and we would go there all the time, it was our spot for delicious pizza. Everyone who works there is absolutely amazing and friendly and the pizza they make is top quality! I wish I could have a slice delivered to my house in Phoenix! read more

Been going here for years. Pizza is very good, however need to blot off the grease. Crust very good. Veggie pizza is eccentric, other pizzas good. Clams casino was so so...Clams we're chewing and somewhat fishy. Staff ok, alternative not the friendliest That being said. Will be back. read more

Tried this place for the first after several recommendations from my sister. I got a large cheese pizza with mushrooms And per my sisters advice I requested extra cheese, the pizza arrived but I could tell right away the extra cheese was a mistake but not their fault it was sloppy but we ate it, the sauce was very good and the taste of the mozzarella was very authentic the mushrooms were large and sliced to a perfect thickness and the crust was perfect, overall I would recommend this place for pizza but pass on the extra cheese it's just to much I can't wait to order again with regular cheese read more

Hands down, one of the best pizza places in the Valley. If you have not tried their Greek salad pizza yet, you are missing out.

Very good food, generous portions at affordable prices. They are a couple of bucks cheaper on their dinners than every other pizza place in Shelton. read more

The closest I've had to real New York Pizza since I've been here in CT. The food is fresh the taste is good and the servings are generous. If you want good old fashioned home style Italian food and pizza, this is the place! read more

Best delivery pizza in Shelton. We really love the pizza here one of our favorites is the buffalo chicken pizza. We've also tried many of the girders and apps. The plain fried wings are amazing! Pasta fagioli is super good too. They have great prices so that's an added bonus. read more

This is a classic hole in the wall/diamond in the rough. They make pizza the way I love it! The eggplant parmigiana meal is delicious and very generous. I will continue to frequent this establishment regularly! read more

Love you guys. All your food is excellent, I hate your chicken wings though. Delivery driver is excellent, I once saw him driving his car in one of the worst snow storms weve had in the past 3 years,he almost made it up the hill then walked the pizza the rest of the way to my neighbors house. I didn`t know they were even open or i would have ordered but I thought that would be cruel for him to come out here twice so i walked down there and got some food. My neighbors are selfish dicks. read more

Attains is close to me they r very hard working people great food and very nice . Always a pleasure to see them and give them business

Who knew that a pizza place could make such good salads? They have more than a dozen varieties and the portions are generous. Their chicken supreme pizza is tasty too. The staff is friendly and the location is right off RT. 8. My only complaint is the very limited parking. read more

EDIT since last order... We got the wrong dressing and the salad was half the size. An eggplant grinder that not only was not toasted on the roll but had a weird fishy smell and taste! (I'm allergic to fish!) Waited over an hour. They sounded busy. But when the second go around was the total opposite from the first...NOT worth the wait. Ughhhh or the stomachaches we both now have! Thank goodness we have TP!!!!!!!.. read more

I grew up eating at this place every week. It may not look like the prettiest pizza parlor but it dishes out great pizza and grinders. I forget who ran the contest but I believe Artans won best cheese pizza in Shelton a couple years ago (which is totally random). Stop by for a hot slice and a soda. And go across the street to Video 7 to tour one of the few remaining video rental spots in America... read more

While it is expensive, it's the best pizza in Ct, I think it's better than Frank Pepe's but many might disagree. I was treated like family there, given i was a long time customer but they would sometimes give me free slices. 11/10 on pizza taste and customer service, 6/10 on price, but I think that's a fair trade off read more

A-MAZING!!!!!! First time ordering delivery and FINALLY we found a place in the valley that makes AWESOME Pizza !!!!! We had a small Greek salad that was plenty enough for the two of us. The garlic cheese bread was very good. We got extra cheese and they did NOT disappoint. The order said it would be almost an hour later than it actually came. Which was great since we had been hungry but not surprised by the time since it was a holiday and weekend. SO fast delivery! Will for sure be going back again. Super affordable. Great prices. Taste..Fantastic!!!! Thanks for a great Valentines Artans!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Love this place, even if on a Friday night you have to wait over an hour for delivery. I am a big fan of the chicken franchise and chicken parm pizza. The women are nice. The place is small and really ca not eat in, but you can eat outside, nest to the street. read more

Salty. Cheap ingredients. The place is a dump. Not the worst, but you have better options.

I am a current and loyal patron of Artan's. The only reason I do not give this review five stars is simply because no fries are included with their sandwiches unlike a lot of other places. They also do not include any paper products so if you do not know and order delivery, and let's say just moved into your new apartment? Stick with the sandwich w no fries! Or a sandwich w no pickle! Has the all-American garnishment of righteous and simple sides now gone away as with most of humanity? Help us and consider including some fries dear Artan's - it would make us all so happy. And thirsty. ;) read more

In my opinion, this is one of the best pizza joints in the Valley. I've been going here for years and they are consistently good. No bad pizza here. D.J's pizza should take note and learn something from Artans. Keep up the good work guys!!! read more

The food here is great! It's reasonably priced and very tasty. It's mostly a takeout place but there are a few tables and chairs set up. My favorite menu item is the chicken fingers (seriously, they're amazing) but I also really love their stuffed breads and calzones too. Everyone that works there is very nice as well! read more

I've been ordering from this place for years and really do like their food. The staff is extremely unpleasant to deal with and their wait for delivery is the worst. They always say 45 to an hour and it's always longer. After an hour and a half I decided to call and ask what the eta was. Got the usual he's on the way. I just told them to cancel the order and again was given the "oh I'm sorry". Heard it too many times and have never been given a credit or anything. Way too many other options in the area with just as good food. Especially when DJ"s says 45 minutes and has never had me wait more than 30 for delivery! read more

We have had their pizza many times and its been delicious every time and never have to wait long for a delivery. I highly recommend this place. read more

Wife loves the pizza w/a splash more sauce--Im sold on the lasagna -BEST IN TOWN-BJ

This review is for the chicken compo wrap only. I work close by, and a group of us ordered. I chose the chicken compo spinach wrap. This wrap included (dried out, thin) pieces of over-grilled chicken, cranberry pieces - dried cranberries not in a sauce - gorgonzola, chopped walnuts, and some limp pieces of lettuce. SO, the chicken was dried out, and there was nothing to moisten the sandwich. In my opinion, the way to make this a better wrap would be to use a cranberry jelly or sauce versus dried cranberries, add a light mayo or honey mustard. As the description only listed cranberry - use something such as cranberry jelly to add that much-needed moisture. A fresher selection of lettuce would have also helped. The chicken was not edible - much too much chewing on flavorless chicken. The walnuts were few, and not chopped small enough. A little chopping would have gone a long way to make this a better sandwich. I will not be ordering wraps again any time soon. read more

Been eating here for years - I think they know me by my address when I order delivery! Woman over the phone/front desk is a sweetheart and so are the chefs. ALL the food is great. Wraps are awesome, pasta dishes are amazing, and pizza is delicious. Chicken tenders are so classic and crispy, and fries are different - love them. Antipasto salad is my personal favorite with the house dressing. All generous portions with everything! And great, affordable prices. My FAVORITE local pizzeria. read more
