The best part about this pizza slice was that it was crispy. Unfortunately, overall, it was bland; precooked crumbled up sausage isn't for me, it lacks flavor. Moreover, I had to add oregano and parmesan cheese to wake it up a bit. My suggestions are these; their dough needs salt, and the sauce needs garlic, basil, oregano and salt. What's not to love about this place; it was amazing. We were on vacation and ordered food twice while in town, it was that good. The pizza sauce is home made, dough cooked to perfection and you can watch them make it. Simply the best New York style pizza I've had. LEGEND My family and I have probably eaten takeout from here hundreds of times, and I'm not exaggerating. I like the buffalo & bbq wraps and the cobb salads the most. In the cobb salad they don't skimp on the chicken which is refreshing. Highly suggest trying the pasta and mozzarella sticks too. I called today at 4:45PM and ordered a pizza and a chicken salad to be delivered. At 5:45PM I called back to ask how much longer for my delivery. the girl at the counter said the deliveries (plural) are going out now. I asked is my order one of the ones going out? she confirmed my address and stated yes it would be 45 minutes to an hour. i said what were you doing the first hour? she said other deliveries. I said, don't you think you should have told me when I placed the order it would be 2 hours, she giggled and said that would turn people away. I said you don't think this won't turn people away. I asked is our food even going to be hot she laughed again (now I am pissed) and she says I don't know. i told her if it isn't I am calling you back for a refund. DO NOT ASK FOR DELIVERY! I feel bad rating this place so low because the staff were so nice but..the food was just not very good. This place was once terrific. They were Villa Pizza and man they knew how to make pizza. I guess they are under new ownership now. My dad and I stopped in and had some pizza. It was thick sliced where Villa's was thin styled and also the pizza was just not good. Had not much of a taste. There was virtually no atmosphere in here either. I think I was also so let down because the place that had been there formally was so very good. It was also a let down because even though they were new ownership we figured the pizza would still be the same. But it wasn't. I usually give places a second try but honestly I doubt I'd come back here again. Neither of us found it at all enjoyable. Not many customers either and so different from what we expected. Legends has good food. Great chef. The problem is they cannot get an order right. The person who took the order over the phone was totally incompetent. It took a long time to get her to say she understood what we wanted. Even put my husband on hold while she asked if we could have extra sauce on the side. Then he goes to pick it up and the request was totally ignored. Rather than making the order 'right' as a good business would have done. All he did was separate the pasta from the dinner which was already covered with the wrong sauce. Exceptionally poor customer service and although I had recommended others to come for the food, unless you want to eat in, and it's not a pleasant place to do that, it's a take out place with a couple tables. I'd advise you to find another take out place where they have a competent person to take your order and someone with a basic knowledge of of good customer service. I prefer to sending ordering this way to ensure there is no confusion over the phone. Delivery timeframe: grubhub estimated 40-50 minutes for delivery and the food came in that general timeframe. The food arrived hot and as specifically order. Food Quality: I ordered a pizza and wrap. The pizza was far better than I expected. It is a thinner crust pizza but it had lots of flavor and was cooked to my liking. I've never ordered from legends the engine down but the pizza place I usually go to, I don't like their grinders So I was trying to find a place that has a really good grinder so I thought legends well they're not out to a good start I ordered the chicken Parm grinder extra sauce it barely has any sauce and I ordered The fried mozzarella with, again, I asked for extra sauce and I didn't get it and I told them to call me when they got here which they didn't so apparently they have this website but they don't look at it. Legends is always fresh and delicious. Staff is genuinely nice and very accommodating. Only comment is I ordered the same wrap on two different occasions and tomatoe is not a listed ingredient. However, each time it had tomatoe on it. Thank goodness not allergic to it. read more

The pizza LOOKED picture perfect but wow, just wow. Me and my husband BOTH agreed- it had absolutely no taste. We ordered a Sicilian half cheese half hot cherry peppers. They gave us all stems of the pepper (which is inedible). The crust literally had no taste. We ended up throwing the entire pizza out and making a frozen pizza, yes, it sucked that bad. The interior of the place is a dump. They don't have any desserts. I really try not to leave bad reviews but just don't waste your time, go to planet pizza or just go get a frozen pizza. read more

The pizza showed up an hour later and was cold and it was almost as if the pizza was sliding around in the back seat of the drivers car because the cheese along with the toppings had flew off part of the pizza and was all over the top and side of the box. I have ordered from Legends and have been disappointed each time. The first time I ordered a salad and I gave them 45 minutes. When I got there my salad wasn't ready! I had to wait another 15 minutes out of my 30 minute lunch to wait for them to make my salad that I ordered 45 minutes ago. Second time delivery on baked ziti, epic fail again. I make Ziti, you don't find blocks of unmixed ricotta in my Ziti and it's not dry either. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about this place which made me reluctant but I'm so happy I went in! The management was so kind and everyone there was so friendly. They accommodated everything I needed. (It's also a family business which gives it a warmer feel that your average pizzeria). I went around lunchtime & it was super busy inside, I didn't know what to get but Mark took his time to cater to my needs to find the best dish for my lunch break - I decided to go with the east side chicken & a chicken salad. My best decision for the day. For an extra 75 Cents I substituted for garlic bread on my sandwich. Which paired super well with cheese, creamy vinegar and peppers. We loved this place when they first opened and frequented it. A month ago we ordered and it was disappointing. We chalked it up to a bad day and ordered again yesterday. It was worse. The chicken Parmesan was like dry leather. It tasted like it had been related from the previous day or early morning. It had no flavor and awful texture. This guy at the front counter was either super high on drugs or drunk. I'm a regular walk in customer and never received the disrespect from this place than I have before. I went to legends pizza around 7pm on 12/12/23. It Took between 20-25 to get my food. I ordered a small chicken bacon ranch pizza and noticed when it got to the table that something was off. Like not right. Halfway eating through the slice I realize there's no cheese. So I asked the guy who was behind the counter if there's usually cheese on the chicken bacon ranch. He responded saying yes and said , "this is a new pizza maker" and then walked to the back. This guy I was speaking to was either high on drugs or drunk. "This guy said that there was cheese on it and that he just looked at the camera. The pizza maker put the cheese on top of the toppings instead of the base". Now that's ridiculous. I used to be a pizza maker. I know how pizzas need to be prepared. I started looking for the cheese while this guy was talking to me and he responds, "don't do that". I'm looking for the cheese and there's nothing there. Fine. I stop eating the pizza. Still half of it left. I use the restroom and then walk out and this guy starts screaming saying, " one person complains and then another get the fuck out if the restaurant". I have worked customer service all my life and never have been treated like this or even I've never spoken to someone like that. When the driver arrived half an hour later, he had forgotten the water bottles and I had to wait another fifteen minutes to get them. Mistakes like these aren't the end of the world, but I'm hoping this isn't typical of them. The ricotta cheese on the pizza didn't look appetizing at all: it looked like the pizza had gone bad, even though it was a fresh pizza. Overall, the pizza tasted meh. The kindest thing my Italian girlfriend could say about it was "it's food," but she's pretty critical of American pizza in general. When I first ordered something to pick up, they seemed rather upset with me when I arrived because they tried to call me while I was on the way there. There was a minor snafu, but they seemed almost angry with me. I went again and this time dined in, but I stupidly forgot to tip. It completely slipped my mind, and I am so, so sorry about that. I had a lot on my plate (no pun intended). I wish America would just streamline the whole tip thing somehow. Anyone who's had a job can tell that the servers work hard at what they do, though it almost feels insulting to tip someone, as if you're implying their job doesn't pay them enough or treat them well enough at the pay rate they receive. Who am I to judge this person graciously serving me, anyway? It's actually rather stressful, even if you don't hate the extra math. But I'm getting WAY too deep into this. I do want to give them another chance, though. I remember the food being good. They also have Orangina, which is this beverage that's ridiculously hard to find. It's difficult to describe, but it's sort of like carbonated orange juice almost. It's delicious. Stumbled upon this place while shopping at the Stop and Shop next store. Stopped by and ordered their hot oil pizza, hardy salad, and their Elvis Presley wrap. The inside looked very clean and had a cool vibe. Let me just say, I was blown away. Their hot oil was a unique pizza that everyone enjoyed. I have been meaning to review Legends for a while. I have had such bad experiences at businesses lately I figured writing a positive review would break that streak. First off, the pizza is much better than what most local shops make. Fresh ingredients, not greasy and great pizza. The salad pizza is good, and so is their meat lovers pizza. I have a low tolerance for bad pizza, but I like their food. They also offer a chicken nugget meal my son loves....I have to say among the best I have ever had. Other pros? Fast delivery. Cons? Price. They aren't cheap, so its not a regular dinner option. If you go there, they have a nice restaurant, but parking can be inconvenient at times. I feel so disappointed writing this review. Legends staff is so nice and we have ordered from them many times. My family has enjoyed their wraps and sandwiches. The pizza, although not our favorite, is okay according to my family. Just okay. This evening I ordered a gluten free pizza for myself and was SO disappointed. It tasted like actual cardboard, or a stale rice cracker with sauce and cheese.
