Since our last delivery we have had several others and they have all been really very good! I will say I prefer big chunks of sausage but the eggplant pizza is delicious and you can never go wrong with pepperoni. So glad I found you the first time because now you're a go-to, especially when no one wants to drive. Thanks for some really great food!! read more

I was here on Saturday evening. I ordered a plain large cheese pizza. I'd say it was pretty good with a distinctive taste, plenty of cheese which was nice. It was moderately busy, mostly takeout. The staff is very friendly and helpful, didn't have to wait long. Parking is abundant. Overall quite pleasant and good food for a chain. I'd like to try more of the menu, it's pretty big. read more

Yuck. Drove out of my way for a cauliflower crust pizza. I very much appreciate them offering it but it was loaded with so much gunk, I was bloated and full for days. My visit was also at the start of the mask hysteria and their doors were full of no mask / no service signs making me feel unwelcome despite having a mask. You can get slices from the case so I wouldn't rule this spot out, just go see for yourself. read more

Going downhill, Planet. We order almost every Friday, and the past couple times haven't been great. Pizzas have been delivered all smooshed, they changed the type of French fries this week, and they got orders wrong. Not sure how one gets olives when ordering pepperoni. Still pretty tasty, but getting disappointed read more

Rude management. Rude workers who hang up on you if you call with a complaint about the food. Food arrives cold, if the order is right. The customer is always right? Not according to them - what they say and think goes and you're wrong 100% of the time! read more

We was staying a the Hampton inn in Shelton . We ordered from there like we always do it was the pizza sucked when we ordered it there was DISGUSTING.The pizza tasted like plastic no cheese there was barely any sauce on my sweet chili wings so who ever made my pizza needs to get fired it's PIZZA not bread this place is a disappointment and will never be ordering anything from them . Don't eat at this place unless you want to get scammed when we wanted a refund the assistant manager was very rude . However they made us a pretty fresh pizza which was just as bad as the first one So if u want pizza choose a different place. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas online on New Years Eve and took advantage of the 2 for $28 deal they were offering. We added pepperoni to one of the pizzas and left one plain. I guess the online ordering works through a third party and that system transmitted that both pizzas were for pepperoni (which didn't work for the vegetarian in the group). Planet was so quick to make a replacement and gracious in looking into the issue and figuring out what went wrong. In an ideal world, that should be the norm, but they show the customers that they value them and their business in a way that some places don't (I'm looking at you, JetBlue). On top of that, we have found their pizza the best at satisfying our New York raised pizza appetites but with some new favorites like their grandma's pie and their amazing vodka sauce. They are the full package and the quality food combined with customer service keep us coming back since they opened here. Thanks, Planet! See you next week! read more

Planet Pizza of Shelton never disappoints, I am a huge fan of the sandwiches my daughter loves the pizza. Throughout this pandemic planet pizza of Shelton has been a go to whenever we want to skip cooking dinner and every time our order arrives earlier than expected, hot, fresh, and delicious! Keep doing what your doing and I can't wait until we can order there again! read more

Never again! I wish there was half a star- this does not even deserve a full star! Planet pizza was absolutely disgusting! It came undercooked, mushy, and just all around gross. The slices were so spongy and the cheese smells and tastes like it is extremely poor quality. I do not recommend! read more

I guess I would give it a zero if I could and all I wanted was a credit on the missing topping!!! We've been long customers ( years) with the Shelton Planet Pizza and always been impressed with the service and the food. Tonight we ordered one of our traditional weekly pizzas and I came with no sausage that we ordered so I called the store and the boy sat there and argued that I was wrong even though I had the pie in front of me and the sausage wasn't there. He continues to argue so I asked to speak to the manager. I am tired and the boy sat there and said the manager was arguing through the boy? WTF In the middle of all this, I can't believe customer service has gone to sh_t! There is no longer any accountability for anything and for such a little thing as a freaking topping. No more PLANET PIZZA!!! I will drive to pick up Mamma Theresas in Milford. Much better pizza and family service. read more

Planet Pizza- Shelton - Sausage, sausage, who's got the sausage that I paid hard earned money for? - Pizza Near Me - Shelton, Connecticut

I usually order from this place but this time was very different. I ordered a "a LG cheese and pepperoni pizza"...now we all know that pizza comes with cheese already but maybe I should've said 1/2 and 1/2 to simplify. All and all they messed up my order and I didn't receive anything for it and the pizza tasted pretty bad, especially for my family members who don't eat pork. They made it work by picking off the pepperoni, it was our dinner. At least the chicken and salad was edible. I called back and received attitude, will not order from here again. read more

I ordered wings and cheese fries. The wings were decent but the cheese fries were not cheese fries. It looks like they put a slice of cheese over fries and popped it in the microwave. It was not cheesy like normal cheese fries are. Very very disappointing. I also had it delivered so by the time it got to me the fries were cold and stiff. read more

Love all pizza planet locations but shelton's is great. Easy to get to, easy ordering, always fresh and ready fast. I've ordered everything from pizza, dinner sized salads, wraps to desserts. They are open late which is awesome, and allow you to customize pretty much anything. I like to make my own veggie wraps. The fresh cookies are really good too. Prices are great, portions are huge! I sometimes order pizza from here, via delivery I must say the ONLY time I order in (delivery) is when I'm TRULY desperate! With that said, I've gotta admit, I've been desperate a few times, and each time I say "next time, I won't order in...I'll go somewhere." Laziness Doesn't pay off!. The first few times I've ordered in from here, was OK. Then a few times, we ate in, at Planet pizza, (just to see how things were.) Dining in was better than delivery...but I also hate eating in places like this. (Ambiance is lacking & such.) The food is OK, if you're expectations aren't much. The prices are OK, considering. You really can't expect much from "pizzeria's" which focus on delivery revenue. read more

Chicken tasted good, but got food poisoning on 2/1/2023. Avoid this restaurant. They don't clean their produce.

They do pasta carbonara. I absolutely love it. I also enjoy being able to get a slice of this or that on a whim. Fried calamari is always a plus. There are a lot of cravings to sate here, even if you just want a big slice of plain cheese pizza to go. I also tried their disco fries because they sounded similar to poutine, although I believe the disco fries use regular cheese instead of cheese curds. I'm not sure why I wasn't particularly sold on this. I hate to sound insulting, but something about it seemed a bit lifeless. However, I do want to praise them for the variety of their menu. This'll sound a bit weird, but somehow I feel a little intimidated by the staff at times. They're prompt and have never gone out of their way to be rude or anything. Maybe it's just me? I'm not too crazy about their prices, however, particularly in regards to portion size. I always feel myself ready to balk on trying something different for fear of how the bill might stack up. In fact, it looks as though they recently upped their prices, which is unfortunate for many people out of work due to the pandemic, or even for the working class. But if you are able to splurge, their menu really does have some nice things. This next thing isn't Planet Pizza-specific, but Connecticut is on the coastline. Have you noticed how seafood is still rather pricey? read more

I was happy to see a pizza place open on Sunday so late. Stopped by and hot a cheese pizza. I thought 11 bucks for a small should be good. Sadly it was not. Too much cheese on the pizza it's soggy. I can't believe I have to hand out a one star. I call in my order. I arrive and pay and then they put my chicken parmigiana grinder in the oven. They take it out of the oven and put it in a plastic clam shell to go container. I am disgusted. Sandwich taste like plastic. read more

This used to be my favorite place in Shelton. We order sometimes 3 times a week and have for years. The last several months they cannot get any orders correct. I haven't had a completely correct order for takeout or delivery in at least the last six orders. Most issues are minor enough and I just let it go. The most recent order was an online order for delivery for three items. I received the wrong salad. I called them to notify and all they would offer is a $3 store credit. I expressed that that's not acceptable and they offered a $5 store credit. I pushed harder and finally got a $10 store credit which was the cost of the salad I ordered. They told me they couldn't make another salad and deliver it because they are closing soon. (I called at 8:25 and they close at 9:30). First of all, I don't appreciate an attitude when I call to politely explain that I received an incorrect item. Why would you argue with a customer, especially a long-time customer? Secondly, I can't understand why they couldn't credit my original form of payment. Offering store credit is bogus! I'm so disappointed in Planet. The food IS great, but the mistakes are frequent and the attitudes are unacceptable. It is enough aggravation at this point that we are going elsewhere from now on. Planet's manager had a chance to smooth this over and did not. He wouldn't even get on the phone to talk with me. So, now I'm leaving this review. I believe staffing/management has changed in the last year and it shows. read more

Great food ALL around! Salads to pizza to subs. Deep dish sausage and broccoli rabe is fanto!

Very good pizza friendly staff. Fresh tasting pizza. Clean place too. First time here. Will be back.

Very nice restaurant. Ordered for pickup in advance. I called and place the order over the phone. Picking up was very nice. Staff was super friendly and brought it out to the car after calling and asking. Pizza and baked ziti with meat sauce were amazing. Pizza was nice and thin. Everything cooked perfectly! read more

It is very frustrating trying to review Planet Pizza in Shelton. They're like the little girl in the Longfellow poem: "And when she was good, she was very, very good, But when she was bad she was horrid." If you order 10 times from Planet Pizza, 9 times the whole experience will be good - good, hot food delivered as promised by a competent driver - and the 10th time will be absolutely awful - we've had lost orders, wrong orders, ridiculously late orders, etc. It's the Russian roulette of pizza places. And do not expect the people at the place to be apologetic when you call to request status or complain. They offer many ways to order online, but you'll do better using Eat24.Com. (GrubHub will charge a delivery fee and they do not properly use the notification e-mail/texts. Sometimes the "on the way" communication comes after the food has already come and been eaten.) Do not expect a quick delivery, but expect a polite driver (who may or may not speak English) holding hot food when he or she arrives. They have a large delivery staff, so it is common to get a different guy every time you call even if you call twice on the same night. Their pasta is great, the sandwiches are very good, the pizza is somewhat generic but offers some unique options. read more

The best Margarita pizza in Shelton is here! The flavor of the pizza can be sensed immediately when you take the first bite, the tomatoes and herbs used are always fresh and the melted cheese is to die for, the place is well-decorated and the waiting time ranges between 20-30 minutes depending on the pizza you want. Let's start by saying that they are open later then most other restaurants in the area so way to go guys. I have enjoyed Planet Pizza many times. I always use their delivery option and the food arrives when they say or earlier. Their delivery men are friendly, but some don't speak much English. The Pizza is good. Their Pasta is very good. My favorite is the Tortellini Alfredo and the meatballs and spaghetti. The Alfredo sauce is a lighter tasting sauce, which is the way I like it. The food is reasonably priced as well. ***Update 12-30-14*** If you had trouble with their online ordering in the past, it seems to be fixed. We had a few bad experiences with them not getting our order a year or so ago, but have not had a problem in a long time. If you order online, then they do not charge you a delivery fee either. Terrible buffalo wings. We were able to order on eat24 app which is incredibly convenient so that is the only reason this would even deserve 1 star. From what I can tell this place cares very little about the quality of their wings. They were drowning in sauce which gave me heartburn and eventually made me feel sick. I have not tried their pizza but if I do and the pizza is good maybe I will update my review. read more

Very good pizza, have had it in other locations as well. was disapointed though by the wait time for take out. Phoned in from home, they said 20 minutes, went in 20 minutes later and still had to wait 25 additional minutes. Not even an "I'm sorry"...... read more

I used to really love this place. Years ago- it was fantastic. They serve through several apps like GrubHub and Yelp but for some reason constantly lose my order. I got a window of 25 min and showed up at 35 min just to give them the time Incase they were busy. They had 1 person in the lobby eating, and that's it. I don't understand why I'm paying all this money and driving down here yet my order is either wrong or lost all together. It's very frustrating. I won't be coming back here anytime soon, trust me. read more
