Love the food, hate the service. We've been ordering from Pizza One for years. My job is even affiliated with them actually. Usually the transactions over the phone are pretty casual and quick, so no worries. Today we called to order a delivery and the girl who answers had no phone skills whatsoever. Would talk to us, then pause to talk with someone else over an over. Doesn't say anything just kept doing it. Maybe they're busy. I get it, it happens, no problem. After I ordered, I realized they charged me wrong. I called back to let them know. Just said "I'm going to charge you $31"... literally no "I apologize" or any acknowledgement of the mistake. Doesn't even mention she's doing a refund. Nothing until I had to make sure. When I asked if it's being refunded, I got a "yep. anything else?"...So I call back asking to speak to the manager and was held 3 times and hung up on each time. Finally a guy comes up on the phone and says "wats up".... I had to ask to make sure he was actually the manager because.... that was just... yeah. The girl could have been new, having a bad day, overwhelmed, or whatever.. but the way the manager handled it just really makes we want to go somewhere else. The 2 stars is for the food. Whole family loves their food. Unfortunately, this is just one of those places where no mater how good the product is, if the service is a disaster, you will loose your customers. read more

Ordered a Caesar Salad with Grilled Shrimp for Lunch. Definitely the laziest excuse for a salad I've seen in a while. The greens, cheese, and croutons were sitting in the container with the shrimp on top, and the dressing was on the side, with no option to have it tossed together, not to mention it was a small packet of dressing. To make matters worse, for $4.50 you only get 3 shrimp added to your salad. For a $15 salad after all said and done, I wouldn't waste my money for the price. read more

I'm pleased to say that the staff at Pizza One has addressed most of my complaints from my previous review. Last week, I came in with a friend for a few slices and garlic knots and the cashier Missy was attentive and got everything out fast despite it being very busy; when we left, two of the delivery drivers held the door open for us and said "have a good night". I was pleasantly surprised at the kind gesture. So a few nights ago, I decided to order a Rodeo burger and BBQ chicken bites for delivery. The guy told me 45 minutes, and the delivery driver got here in 25 minutes (I live in PL, drive is usually about 7-8 minutes depending on traffic); again, this was another pleasant surprise. Overall, I'm just happy that I can enjoy the food without all the pains I experienced a few months back. read more

We ordered all meat Stromboli which was excellent! My husband had spaghetti and meatballs, that was good. He did not like the fried calamari, was rubbery and not that great. read more

Placed an order for delivery and had to pay more for food that I did not want just to cover delivery costs, because they had a minimum for delivery but no delivery charge. I would have gladly paid delivery cost if they offered it but they don't. So I end up paying for food I didn't want, when the delivery came I didn't get the food that I paid extra for and didn't get refunded. Also left a 20% tip on top of the food I didn't get to cover delivery costs. I called them and never got refunded for the food they made me order that I never got. They're food is good just make sure you pick it up in person so they don't try to cheat you by adding on food that you won't get by saying you need to order more to meet delivery costs. Pizza one has definitely been my go to since moving to the area, and I used to order at-least once a week when I was at work...so guilty of spending my pay check here. But the chicken chipotle sub is seriously way to good not to eat! read more

My whole family looks forward to our weekly pizza Fridays. Everything I've ever had here was delicious. (usually pizza, penne/vodka, muscles, subs, zucchini sticks) The gluten free pasta and pizza are also better than nearby places. My wife won't order GF from anywhere besides Pizza 1. The staff in the place is very friendly. Delivery drivers are always nice and there's never a long wait for food to arrive. It's also nice that the owner comments on both positive and negative reviews on here. Not too many owners thank customers as much as he does from what I've seen. They usually just apologize to bad reviews, if anything at all. Only a few more days until Friday... can't wait. Keep up the good work. read more

We just ordered a thin crust supreme......the pizza was soggy and it was droopy......the crust is wet...I have had thin crust pizza before...but this one is really disgusting....they offered to send another pizza but I just lost my appetite and declined. I spend most weeks on the road traveling all over the US for work. Today I drove another 2 hrs more after I decided I was starving to get to Pizza One. I am very grateful for Dante, Ali, and the rest of the Pizza One staff. I took my students to Pizza One earlier today so that the students could make their own personal pizzas. The students and staff had a wonderful time. All of our needs were met and we left happy and FULL! Love pizza one! Only place we will ever order from! I have never once had a problem with anything I have gotten there before, and might I say I have ordered everything from apps to pizza to a full meal. Dined in and out still never one problem... I do have to say this though, I ordered a bunch of apps today for lunch and ordering I asked for the cheese steak bites... They are no longer available:/ that was definitely one of my favorites here! Just moved here 4 mos ago & order from here at least once a week. Most of their sandwiches and dinners are great. Some weeks we order from them three days. The pizza is the least impressive. The crust is very bland so its only ok if you add salty toppings to balance the blandness. Overall, a great place to get great food. Two criticisms are the fact that they dont let you add drivers tip to your card. Thats a huge problem & has caused us not to order on days we otherwise would just because we dont have cash to tip the delivery driver. Also, I never see coupons or get coupons from them. Most places we use as often as this, eventually send us coupons as a thanks. Still, very happy with their food. read more

Went back tonight because my son wanted to go here for his birthday... Well I was pleasantly surprised to have an attentive waiter. The food was good. We had wings mild and regular and fried pickles, which to my surprise again lol I enjoyed. We got a pie that was good and I even brought home a Chicken parm dinner to go... My daughters friends family were sitting next to us and when I asked for bill, waiter replied they took care of it for you.:) I thought I was dreaming, karma does indeed exist! Do good get good... Had my wife's birthday catered by these guys and the food was a hit. It was delivered exactly on time and set up by s very helpful delivery guy who would accept no help and was alone. We went to the restaurant to order the catering and I was impressed with how clean the kitchen is. We ate a slice in the little take out area. I looked around and noticed even the rubber gasket at the bottom of the soda fridge was clean. And the floor around it. What a disappointment this place has become. We ordered a medium pizza , buffalo wings and garlic cheese bread. The pizza was severly undercooked, had to thow it in the oven for an additional 10 minutes. the chicken wings were over cooked, not good at all, some of it was completely inedible. Good for something local that delivers. Prices used to be more reasonable for the serving sizes, but after popularity grew the quality dropped and the prices continued to be high. The burgers used to be a favorite, but they have since halved in size and the meat quality has dropped, but the price stayed the same. Huge selection of sandwiches and pizza. The food is good and they are popular. Therein lies the problem. Many times it arrives over an hour (once 90 minutes) after calling regardless of the time or day and we live 20 minutes from the restaurant. The food is tasty but tepid or nearly cold upon arrival. I would recommend them if you pick the food up yourself or if you live only a few minutes away. Otherwise there are better alternatives. read more

Awesome, just awesome. We go here every time we visit. Best pizza in the area if you ask me. Can be a little pricy but worth it. Only thing we don't like is they don't have a drink fountain, so you have to buy a bottle of soda, which just isn't enough, and that get's pricy too if you have to buy more than 1 for each person. We've been eating and ordering food from Pizza One for years, and we are long overdue to write a review. Whether we stopped for a quick slice of pizza, ordered from the dinner menu, or had an event catered by them, the hard working, creative staff has never let us down. Our hands down favorite is their meatballs. We sometimes plan family gatherings just to have an excuse to order a tray. They get the red sauce just right, flavorful and not overly sweet. They offer a variety of salads and entrees, and every one that we've tried has been terrific. Happy to have this place close to home. read more

Any review less than 5 stars is someone who doesn't know great food and great service. I never realized when I moved to the area 11 years ago that one of the greatest pizzerias on earth would be 2 minutes from my house. I have had 15 of their amazing sandwiches and numerous varieties of pizza over the years. The size and high quality of the sandwiches give you great value for your money. The pizza? You will have to go into the village in New York City to find pizza better than this. It's THAT GOOD. Staff is so pleasant and takes so much pride in what they do. We have been ordering from pizza one since they opened! They quickly became our go to place. Sometimes we love the food and other times we are not thrilled with it but that's going to happen at any fast paced restaurant. We love supporting a local business and anytime we ever have an issue we call and speak to the owners and they are willing to do whatever it takes to make us happy!
