Itialian Beef sandwich and Chicago Dog
    Russ G.

Got here just as they opened on a Saturday. The service was friendly and efficient as always. The food here is always good. I ordered my usual Chicago Dog plus an Italian Beef sandwich. The food and service here rate high, but the booths could use an update. In each booth I have sat in, the seat cushions are so worn and broke down that one is sitting on the wood frame. However, this slight inconvenience will not stop me from returning.

First timer. I came for the hotdogs. I came back for the dogs and got two. The polish with Kraut is the way to go. Also had the chili cheese dog the 2nd time around. Small place, there can be a wait we'll worth it. Oh and yes I played the Pinball machine (my husband didn't know I played pinball) I needed to go to get the high score. And eat more hotdogs.

One of the things that I miss about my time living in Chicagoland was the abundance of places to grab a Chicago Dog or a Beef sandwich. Pizza Man is serving up both and doing a righteous and authentic job at delivering two of my all-time favorites. All the basics are there...Vienna beef, sport peppers, poppy seed bun, giardiniera, aus jus...it's all there, and the details prove that this joint in a suburban stripmall is legit. I had one of each and am eager to go back for more; next time I must try the Italian beef pizza.

Pizza Man is my family's go-to spot. They're always on time, affordable, and the food is great. The Italian sandwich is my favorite, and their soup is always top-notch!

Vienna beef dog. Legit snap. Perfect steamed poppyseed buns! Takes me back to Chicago. Atomic green relish!! So good!

This is my go too in KC area for real deal Chicago eats! Pizza, hot dogs, polish sausage, BEEF!!!! The best. Family owned and great people! They definitely north side cubbie fans which suits me fine. They have 1 token white Sox logo up!! Great lunch deals 3-4$ a slice and side salad perfect. Only open till 6pm. So lunch spot or ready to go dinner!! No fries. Just getting that out of the way. They have chils

    Italian Roast Beef with Cheese

After helping some friends move we stopped in here for a quick lunch, I have driven past this place several times and never stopped in. The have several Pizza, Sandwiches and Hotdogs. I ordered the Italian Roast Beef with Cheese Sandwich. There was a lot of meat and a lot of sandwich for the price. My friends ate their Chicago dogs and wanted another one. It took quite a while to get someone to come to the front counter.

I had the Italian Beef Sandwich and it was delicious. I also tried the cheeseburger pizza. It was ok. The service was quick and friendly. The dining room was clean. When I go back I plan on trying the Chicago dog.

Food - Very tasty Pizza and I hear the sandwiches are great as welll Service - Quick and courteous Ambiance - Classic Old School (think 80s) Pizza Joint with Arcade game(s). Had Never been here but have been to grinders (just to the South of this place. Good prices for good pizza be it S/M/L Had the deluxe, closest to a Supreme and it made a "first bite impression"! Fresh tasting ingredients, crispy cracker thin crust, not as much Mozzarella as Minsky's (my fav) but enough to keep toppings from falling off/apart to the cheese. Interior could use a makeover, but the OG hole-in-the-wall 'charm' has it's merits. Paper plate for dine in, water is self serve and soft drinks are by the bottle so NO fountain drink serving machine here. Seating for maybe 44 if fully packed w/o the 5 or so barstools facing the wall. Solid offering in the area especially IF the old Godfather's is closed @ 127th and Antioch.

The food was tasty and at a great price. Lots of toppings on the all meat pizza and we liked the thin crust. The italian beef sandwich was very good as well. No frills atomsphere -- the pinball machines were fun to play while we waited for our order.

I had the Chicago Dog--I've never had one in Chicago so I had nothing to compare it to. It was good, but I removed the peppers as they're a bit on the too hot/spicy for me scale. It wasn't busy at all, though as I sat consuming my meal, people got take-out. If I go again, I'll try their Italian beef sandwich. Not sure how it compares to anything in Chicago, but I've heard it was good since this first visit.

Love thin crust pizza, and this is a great one. Fresh toppings, nothing canned. Doesn't reheat well.

The kind of place where the plates look like art, but you immediately destroy them because the food smells too good to admire for long. Then the owner comes to your table -- and not in the "just checking in" way. No. She guides you. She explains everything: where the menu comes from, why it exists, what flavors are about to happen, and why you're about to rethink your life choices up to this point. She speaks with passion, clarity, and genuine pride -- and suddenly you trust her with your entire evening. Possibly your future. The menu itself is a beautifully orchestrated mix of Spanish, Mexican, Italian, and Argentine cuisine, and somehow none of it fights for attention. Every dish knows exactly what it's doing. Appetizers? Fantastic. Main courses? Outstanding. Desserts? Referred to as "more than delicious," which sounds like exaggeration until you taste them and realize it's just accurate reporting. And the wine -- oh, the wine. A Malbec lineup that could convert people who "don't really like red wine" into people who suddenly have opinions about terroir. Think it's only a dinner spot? Incorrect. They also serve lunch, featuring amazing sandwiches and small plates that make you wonder why you're ever eating lunch anywhere else. And yes -- there's brunch, which is just unfair to other brunch places trying their best. What truly seals the deal, though, is the owner herself. She is kind, genuine, passionate, and unforgettable. If you're lucky enough to meet her, you'll leave feeling oddly uplifted -- well fed, well treated, and slightly convinced the universe wanted you there that night.
