I needed to update my review, this place was my favorite go to spot till they changed management and it was terrible. It's been a few years and after getting a message from the business letting me know it was under new management again and they assured me the food was amazing. My 4-Star review might be too good, after reading the reviews from others about this location. But since I did not witness unhygienic practices myself on this occasion, even though I did witness very bad unhygienic practices at their Eagle Rock location from multiple employees, I can't fault them if I did not notice these things myself. But then again, I did not think to look. I ordered the medium pizza and salad combo, and both were very good. I just hope what I witnessed at their Eagle Rock location did not happen to my food. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the prices are so high. I had coupons though so that's why I still went there. MANAGEMENT: Cleanliness is VERY important. It is easy for your customers to see these these horrible and completely avoidable assaults on your customers health. Make sure your employees realize that they can be seen doing these horrible things without them even realizing they are doing them. Do not allow your employees to put your customers health on the line for such negligence! read more

I genuinely hate having to write this because I really believe in supporting local businesses, and I've tried to handle this privately before posting anything publicly. In the past, I noticed that the staff preparing food -- kneading dough, cutting ingredients, assembling orders -- were not wearing gloves. At the time, I chose not to leave a negative review. Instead, out of respect for the establishment, we called the restaurant to express concerns. I hoped it was an oversight and trusted they would correct it. In fact, the owner thanked us for calling in and bringing this to their attention and appeared to agree this was not safe. Today, I came back hoping things would be different. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Once again, no one preparing the food was wearing gloves. The same person handling the register returns to placing pepperoni on your pizza. The lady in the back is touching her face with the same hand she is using to assemble the veggies on your pizza. Just a few feet away, the gentleman kneading the dough is wearing rings which are digging into the dough. This isn't a minor issue. Food safety and basic hygiene are not optional. Gloves exist to prevent cross-contamination and to protect customers from bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants that can easily transfer from hands to food -- even with handwashing. In an industry where public health should be the top priority, this level of carelessness is unacceptable. What's most disappointing is that they were given the opportunity to correct it. I understand that small businesses face challenges, and I truly wanted to continue supporting them. But seeing the same behavior repeated tells me that this isn't a one-time mistake -- it's a choice. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but customers deserve to know. Sadly, we will not be returning. Cleanliness and food safety are non-negotiable. read more

Pizza Man is great. We have been a couple of times, but this time we got it to go. The place is just adorable and always super clean. We love the prices, it is fair and you get great food. The service, be it to go or dine in is wonderful. The staff is very nice and they get your order right. We have never seen it crowded but we tend to go in off hours. The location is cute and parking is easy. We just love all their food. They have a large selection of pizza. They also have other good food. We like their wings very much. Their fried cheese ravioli is great and it comes as a starter. Their popcorn chicken is great and they have fries, which my grandson loves. Their garlic rolls are also super tasty. There's a reason why this pizza man location has been around for ages. Absolutely met and exceeded all expectations for a local pizza joint. Ordered pizza, wings, and popcorn chicken all which were fantastic. Pizza crust held up all the toppings very well (didn't cheap out on toppings whatsoever ) wings were krispy and saucy. This was my first time trying this place, and I was genuinely excited to support something local. The cheesy tots were great, and the pizza tasted good initially. Unfortunately, that changed quickly when I felt a snap in my mouth while taking a bite. To my shock, I found three pieces of clear rubber band in my pizza, which was extremely concerning and immediately made me lose my appetite. I then examined the pizza more closely and discovered the issue came from the pepperoni--it appears the plastic casing was left on during slicing and never removed. Since I ordered through DoorDash, I disputed the order with them. I also called the restaurant directly to inform them of the issue and to speak with a manager, as this is a serious food safety concern. However, I was told I could not speak to a manager and that I would need to call back and "press a number," but that no one would be getting back to me today. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not what I expected, especially for a first visit. I won't be ordering again. read more

They also have tasty wings and you can order a few or a bunch. They are also great heated up at home. The place is not huge, but there are a few places to eat indoors. Honestly, I hadn't visited a Pizza Man location in over a decade -- the last time I went I wasn't impressed, and frankly we are spoiled with good options for pizza places. Last week however, I was driving in an area I don't know well, was hungrier than I realized, and decided to drop into the Foothill store. I'm glad I did. I was welcomed in by Arsen, who was happy to talk about the changes to the menu. He, Jose, and Ole emphasized -- and then *reemphasized* -- the freshness of the ingredients. They almost didn't have to though, the aroma from the kitchen was fantastic. The Margherita pizza then spoke for itself. The difference in quality wasn't just that my expectations were exceeded based on my long ago visit (a fairly low bar); this was a genuinely high quality pizza (the sauce and the quality of the tomatoes in particular rival some of the best I've eaten). Although I don't think I'll be given other chain pizza stores the same chance (I've had pizza from other high-profile named places that I found genuinely aggravating...), I feel as though I have an excellent option here. read more

I just wana say food looks good but is my concern. Hygene is trash in this place. It was my first time eating and ordering from here. When i arrived to pick up my order i walk inside and i see they are busy but what caught my attention was one guy that was cutting up someones pizza was scratching his beard vigorisly like really scratching it with both hands and hes doing it around the pizza not ontop of it but next to it. Great pizza a lot better than the original commercial pizza "the man" used to make. The ingredients are what shine here since you can tell it's real ingredients like you would find at a fancy restaurant. I tried the pepperoni "great" also tried the "bbq chicken " also great. My coworkers were also really pleased with the Hawaiian and supreme. So rest assured you will find something to satisfy your craving. Was hungry for a nearby pizza and took a chance ordering from Pizza Man who i found out has NEW OWNERS!!! Yay. The new owners apparently gutted the old place and built an entire new interior up with fresh new ideas to make it bright and clean inside. I ordered two pizzas, Hawaiin pizza and mushroom pizza. And a basic salad. I added onions to my salad and told them no olives please. The new owner answered my call and he was very kind. Nee customers get a nice discount and I am loving the popping flavor of their crust. It's a little sweet and delicious and very good texture. Not like the old cardboard pizza they used to sell. The Hawaiin pizza has lots of Canadian bacon and pineapple pieces on top. So yummy. The salad i ordered is also very delicious and fresh greens. read more

pizza was soo good! as a first time customer at pizza man i enjoyed the food i ordered. pizza man is located inside the Ariana plaza in the la crescenta area. parking is convenient. the pizzas were delicious, cheesy, and fresh. i also ordered some wings and wow those were sooo good! i had a little bit of an issue with my order but it was totally fine because the sweet chili wings most definitely made up for it! soooo yummy! the lemon peppers were good too. the employee at this location are very kind and friendly. i will most definitely be trying pizza man again! read more

After elaborating on my experiences at the La Crescenta location, a very nice gentleman apologized and assured me that he was going to talk with his staff and do some customer service retraining. He also offered me a credit to use for a future order. A week later, I placed an order for pick-up. Not only was the credit applied, the staff's customer service was very friendly. Thank you! This Place is FIRE, You have to try the Chipotle Bacon Burger here when you have a chance. It is unbelievably good and tasty. All in all, we did order a pizza too. A friend recommended this place since he lives in the area. Ordered 2 large Pepperoni Pizzas with everything on it. Nice looking family vibe restaurant. Waiters and waitresses are cool here.
