My fiancé, our daughter and I were around the area waiting for it to be time to pick up our dog from the groomer. In the meantime we decided to take a look what there was around to go eat in the meantime. What caught our attention when looking online was the Bugolgi Pizza. We decided to head out there and try it out. We arrived and the shop was very clean. We were greeted with smiles on their faces. Once we sat we looked over the menu and decided what we were going to order. We ordered a Bugolgi Pizza and Korean Style Fried Chicken. ( We ate it before we thought about taking a picture lol.) The food was delicious, very good and presentable. The Bugolgi pizza toppings were the Bugolgi Beef, onions and green bell peppers. Absolutely like no other. There's no other place that we know of that has Bugolgi on pizza. The order of the Korean Style Fried Chicken (we got plain because of our daughter) . Our basket had some potato wedges, some deep fried dumplings, and the chicken. We also got some I believe radish side, ketchup and ranch. Everything in that basket stars! It was so good. We all enjoyed our meal. To top everything off. My fiancé and I were so amazed at their customer service. They pay attention to their clients, they want you to be satisfied. I played their claw machine and they hinted the best way to win a prize on it. They saw we needed an extra plate and they brought it out without asking. My fiancé was the one who was able to win a prize from the claw machine. Shortly after when, one of the employees ( I'm not sure if owner) blew up a little heart balloon and attracted it to the plushie for our daughter. Hello Pizza brings Korean-inspired pizza to the neighborhood. Love the unique flavors (bulgogi, Buldak, potato) and pizza styles (ie. sweet potato mousse gold crust) they serve up here. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wasn't really a fan of their pizza dough, which to me, has a consistency of thin, dried, stale bread - that's just my personal opinion though. It didn't seem to bother anyone else in my party. I guess could round up to 4.5 stars 1. Bulgogi Gold Pizza (4.5/5) The bulgogi was marinated well and were evenly spread throughout each pizza slice. The base of this pizza is tomato sauce and it is topped off with onion, bell pepper and cheddar cheese. The gold crust of course if a layer of crispy melted cheese. The inside of the crust contains sweet potato mousse, which adds a slight sweetness to the palate. The combination works well. 2. Buldak Pizza (2/5) This is the newest item on their menu, so we had to try it. Love the concept of the flavor, but it just wasn't our favorite because it was too sweet. The bulk sauce is a Korean sweet and spicy sauce that kind of resembles BBQ sauce. We felt that the sweetness of the sauce overpowered everything, including the spicy part. The chicken was also too dry. I did like the stuffed cheese crust though as it had a decently cheesiness to it. It was good to try, but we will skip it next time. 3. Bulgogi Taco Pizza (5/5) What is there not to like about bulgogi and taco, let alone, in pizza form? The toppings are Korean marinated BBQ beef, chopped red onions, cilantro, and hot taco sauce. It was pleasantly savory and packed with flavor that's truly reminiscent of street tacos. 4. Potato Gold Pizza (5/5) If you are hungry and looking for a carb-heavy, yet satisfying bite, this is the pizza to get. It has tomato sauce base, topped with cheddar cheese, ground beef, strips of bacon, corn, onion, mushroom, sour cream and a slice of potato wedge on each slice of pizza. I love supporting mom and pop shops and this place is so deserving of a good review. The owners are so funny, engaging and service oriented. We didn't have to ask for anything- they knew when to bring us a Togo boxes, extra napkins, etc. Service went truly above and beyond. We ordered a lot for the just the two of us but our leftovers made for excellent meals the next day. Orders are made fresh. The pizza uses good quality cheese, and came with a little bit of everything- olives, bell peppers, ham, sausage, bacon, mushrooms and the sweet potato filled cheesy crust was chefs kiss. The chicken was crispy and big meaty portions. We would love to come back when we are in the area again. The restaurant is casual with large dining tables, tv screens to watch sports. We stopped here after our day at Descanso Garden with our 1 year old, and oh my god what a lucky find!!!! We walk in and are greeted by the friendliest man, who immediately acknowledged our baby boy and got him smiling. The restaurant atmosphere is small-town vibes in the best way. It was decorated for Christmas and our son had a blast running around playing (the owners got a kick out of him, which makes this place beyond family friendly!)! I came here with my two kids and had such a great experience. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, which immediately made us feel welcome. The place is clean and well-kept. My kids each got their own individual pizzas one cheese and one olive, and they loved them. I ordered the bulgogi taco pizza and it was amazing, full of flavor and something a little different in the best way. Side note that really made our visit special: they have a claw machine inside that my kids were playing with while we waited. When we went back to pick up our pizzas, the owner surprised them by giving each of them a plushy from the prize box. It was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture and completely made my kids' day. I've lived here my whole life and honestly don't know why we never tried this place before...but we'll definitely be coming back again. When I tried pizza in Korea, I wasn't a huge fan. I loved the interesting flavors and I really loved when they incorporate sweet potato into the pizza. However, the way they did their dough was not pleasant. It was extremely soft and pillowy. As a pastry, that sounds lovely but as a pizza, not so much. Then comes Hello Pizza with the best of both worlds: the Korean twist/flavors with the American crust! We LOVED it! We got the Golden Potato pizza, which is their most popular pizza. It had ground beef, bacon, corn, and cheese. Their crust is stuffed with sweet potato mousse and oh my gosh, it was absolutely delicious. The textures were great, the flavors were fantastic -- even though we weren't hungry, we ate a lot! I loved the sweet potato! The whole pizza was the definitely of sweet and savory! We also got the Gold Cheese Stick, which is their version of bread sticks with cheese and sweet potato mousse. It comes with a garlic dipping sauce that is slightly sweet and complimented it perfectly! You can get the garlic sauce on its own too so be sure to grab some to dip your pizza in! It's definitely a must get! It's a bit unfortunate that they weren't allowing dine ins when we went so we had to get it to go and eat it at our hotel. Service was good! Everyone was friendly! Would absolutely recommend and would definitely come again. It's a bit far from where we normally stay but worth it. Ugggh I wish I had this in Vegas. Korean-style Pizza was never my thing until I had a sweet-potato crust pizza with sweet potato toppings in Korea. While some will certainly think of this as almost like a dessert, the combination of flavors really come together in a unique and distinct way from normal pizza. This isn't cheap food, nor is it for everyone, but the quality of the pizza is undeniable. They also have these cheese sticks that are also filled with a sweet potato creme that are unbelievable though a little pricey for the amount. Additionally, the staff has always been very kind and pleasant when we came to ordering food here. The second time we went, they had opened up the tables for in-restaurant dining which was awesome. They have a kind of odd store within the restaurant that sells some anime-related items as well as Funko Pop figures. You can also really see the family-oriented nature of the restaurant as the Coffee bar seems to be dedicated to a child. Definitely a destination for us when visiting LA, despite it being a bit out of the way from our usual area. read more

My favorite pizza place! This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for I think about 6 months. I took some of the not so nice reviews about here into consideration and I'll just say sorry they had a bad experience. So far, mine have been great. I think they're family owned and staff is very friendly. I prefer to order over the phone or online as I'm usually ordering around my lunch hour. My order is ready within about 20 min. The longest I've ever had to wait was 45 min total but since I ordered ahead it was only about 10 min after my arrival time. I come so often, a couple of them know me by name now lol. The potato pizza is so yummy and different! Big chunks of potatoes and bacon with hidden slices of onion, corn kernels, mushrooms, and beef. I really enjoy the sweet potato mousse as it adds the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I'm also pretty basic and get just a pepperoni pizza. Sometimes I switch it up and add veggies lol. I used to go here a a lot when my sister lived in La Canada. I can go there now! I had it again for the first time in years and was reminded of how much I like it. The sweet potato crust is so unique and wild. It's a roller coaster of flavor. My friend didn't like the soy sauce boneless wings but I'm into them. I do admit they are a bit sweet, but sometimes you just have to party like that. The place is cute and is great for kids. We ordered the Potato Good pizza, with tomato sauce, sweet potato mousse, mushroom, ground beef, corn, onion, potato, cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream. At first bite, the flavor was good. The regular size is 8 slices and although quite small, was filling. The Hawaiian was good but can improve. I may be at fault since it took me about 40 minutes to bite into the pizza so during this time, it had cooled down. Although ham and pineapple are simple, something didn't marry these toppings on the pizza well. Nonetheless, it was good. I liked the fried chicken - we opted for soy and sweet and spicy. I'd have to say these were my favorite. We were comped free soda and their house sauce since according to Danny, we were suppose to get a discount with our order through a promotion. Wow, what a hidden gem. We picked Hello Pizza on a whim, and were immediately greeted with a smile and good vibes. The dining area had music videos playing, a couple of games for kids to play, and a small toy/comic book section. Before we knew it the pizza was out and who knew that keeping it simple would taste so good. This is the best pizza I've had in a long time, and we've gone to all the uppity bougie pizza spots in Highland Park, Atwater Village, and Los Feliz. None of them hold a candle to this spot. I am obsessed with the Pizza here!! It's thin and genuinely flavorful without the ickiness and unhealthy ingredients or pointlessly bland excess dough. Somehow, the ingredients are on point every time -- like their fresh tomatoes literally taste naturally sweet!! I haven't had a naturally sweet tomato at any other pizza place. I also love how the portions are cut in this thin way which is way more realistic for me to eat than typical American pizza chains. The only reason I docked 1 star is because the place does not have good ventilation and lighting, making it uncomfortable to eat there directly. I usually have to buy it togo. First time having Korean pizza that isn't from Love Letter and it was 100% better. We got the largest size and split it amongst 4 people, cost was about $8-9 per person and it filled everyone up. The potato pizza has a potato stuffed crust that is crisp and just heavenly. The mushrooms and bacon were such a great addition to the pizza as well because it gave more flavor and texture.
