Hello Pizza brings Korean-inspired pizza to the neighborhood. Love the unique flavors (bulgogi, Buldak, potato) and pizza styles (ie. sweet potato mousse gold crust) they serve up here. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wasn't really a fan of their pizza dough, which to me, has a consistency of thin, dried, stale bread - that's just my personal opinion though. It didn't seem to bother anyone else in my party. I guess could round up to 4.5 stars 1. Bulgogi Gold Pizza (4.5/5) The bulgogi was marinated well and were evenly spread throughout each pizza slice. The base of this pizza is tomato sauce and it is topped off with onion, bell pepper and cheddar cheese. The gold crust of course if a layer of crispy melted cheese. The inside of the crust contains sweet potato mousse, which adds a slight sweetness to the palate. The combination works well. 2. Buldak Pizza (2/5) This is the newest item on their menu, so we had to try it. Love the concept of the flavor, but it just wasn't our favorite because it was too sweet. The bulk sauce is a Korean sweet and spicy sauce that kind of resembles BBQ sauce. We felt that the sweetness of the sauce overpowered everything, including the spicy part. The chicken was also too dry. I did like the stuffed cheese crust though as it had a decently cheesiness to it. It was good to try, but we will skip it next time. 3. Bulgogi Taco Pizza (5/5) What is there not to like about bulgogi and taco, let alone, in pizza form? The toppings are Korean marinated BBQ beef, chopped red onions, cilantro, and hot taco sauce. It was pleasantly savory and packed with flavor that's truly reminiscent of street tacos. 4. Potato Gold Pizza (5/5) If you are hungry and looking for a carb-heavy, yet satisfying bite, this is the pizza to get. It has tomato sauce base, topped with cheddar cheese, ground beef, strips of bacon, corn, onion, mushroom, sour cream and a slice of potato wedge on each slice of pizza. Of course, the crust contains the sweet potato mousse. The bacon and seasoned potato wedges really adds savoriness to this pizza. The corn and sweet potato mousse crust adds a tinge of sweetness. The combination of all the ingredients made our taste buds dance with happiness. Overall, I recommend Hello pizza to anyone who is wanting to venture to try new pizza flavors. It's a palate experience to remember!!!
I love supporting mom and pop shops and this place is so deserving of a good review. The owners are so funny, engaging and service oriented. We didn't have to ask for anything- they knew when to bring us a Togo boxes, extra napkins, etc. Service went truly above and beyond. We ordered a lot for the just the two of us but our leftovers made for excellent meals the next day. Orders are made fresh. The pizza uses good quality cheese, and came with a little bit of everything- olives, bell peppers, ham, sausage, bacon, mushrooms and the sweet potato filled cheesy crust was chefs kiss. The chicken was crispy and big meaty portions. We would love to come back when we are in the area again. The restaurant is casual with large dining tables, tv screens to watch sports. I also saw a coffee shop inside and a flower shop! Super nice owners and excellent food.
We stopped here after our day at Descanso Garden with our 1 year old, and oh my god what a lucky find!!!! We walk in and are greeted by the friendliest man, who immediately acknowledged our baby boy and got him smiling. The restaurant atmosphere is small-town vibes in the best way. It was decorated for Christmas and our son had a blast running around playing (the owners got a kick out of him, which makes this place beyond family friendly!)! We ordered potato pizza, the house pizza, a side of sweet and spicy wings, and the sweet potato cheesy bread sticks. All I can say is, we were blown away. The combination of flavors on the potato pizza is seriously incredible - that is officially my favorite pizza of all time. The flavor profiles are so unique... it's like the last truly creative pizza in LA. Our boy loved the potato pizza and cheesy bread, which made our night easier. The WINGS!!! I was pleasantly surprised that they were actually pretty spicy - great flavor and they were crispy. Everything I want in a sweet and spicy wing. If we could rate Hello Pizza higher we would. The Korean Sweet & Spicy wings are tooo die for!! We ordered 15 and it wasn't enough we ended up ordering 16 more! The buffalo wings are great also! These are THE BEST wings we have ever had! The house salad was delicious! The pizza ooohh the pizza! The Italian Job is for us garlic lovers! The regular pepperoni, is not just regular, it's delicious! The Hawaiian with The Golden sweet potato crush, must eat backwards! Crust first! Everything was fresh, delicious and tasty! We will definitely be back for more! My fiancé, our daughter and I were around the area waiting for it to be time to pick up our dog from the groomer. In the meantime we decided to take a look what there was around to go eat in the meantime. What caught our attention when looking online was the Bugolgi Pizza. We decided to head out there and try it out. We arrived and the shop was very clean. We were greeted with smiles on their faces. Once we sat we looked over the menu and decided what we were going to order. We ordered a Bugolgi Pizza and Korean Style Fried Chicken. ( We ate it before we thought about taking a picture lol.) The food was delicious, very good and presentable. The Bugolgi pizza toppings were the Bugolgi Beef, onions and green bell peppers. Absolutely like no other. There's no other place that we know of that has Bugolgi on pizza. The order of the Korean Style Fried Chicken (we got plain because of our daughter) . Our basket had some potato wedges, some deep fried dumplings, and the chicken. We also got some I believe radish side, ketchup and ranch. Everything in that basket stars! It was so good. We all enjoyed our meal. To top everything off. My fiancé and I were so amazed at their customer service. They pay attention to their clients, they want you to be satisfied. I played their claw machine and they hinted the best way to win a prize on it. They saw we needed an extra plate and they brought it out without asking. My fiancé was the one who was able to win a prize from the claw machine. Shortly after when, one of the employees ( I'm not sure if owner) blew up a little heart balloon and attracted it to the plushie for our daughter. After paying we headed out to the door and he went out of his way to say goodbye to us with a smile on his face as we left. We definitely will be back. Thank you Hello Pizza

Found this nice Korean-inspired pizza place in La Cañada Flintridge....their bulgogi pizza was amazing!! I'm told that you have the option of doing a half-and-half (i.e., half Bulgogi, Half Kimchi). The ambiance is really nice too, with K-pop music blaring on the speakers. There's even a flower shop. Also, great friendly service from the owner, Danny....thank you!! More visits to come!!! 정말 감사합니다~~. 또 올게요~~
I got an email from them telling me they will be giving me a refund even though they told me over the phone they couldn't so I could remove my review lol well here's ANOTHER review for you :) they sent me a threatening email saying I should remove my review because they have a recording of my conversation with the manager apparently being racist which is completely 100% false. Did I cuss out the manager? Absolutely because it was deserved. Did I ever say anything racist? NEVER. Keep your threats to yourself. How dare you?? What a terrible look for a business. Now we know the type of people that run this place.
Service is amazing, friendly and they are very accommodating with food allergies as well! Definitely coming back!
When I tried pizza in Korea, I wasn't a huge fan. I loved the interesting flavors and I really loved when they incorporate sweet potato into the pizza. However, the way they did their dough was not pleasant. It was extremely soft and pillowy. As a pastry, that sounds lovely but as a pizza, not so much. Then comes Hello Pizza with the best of both worlds: the Korean twist/flavors with the American crust! We LOVED it! We got the Golden Potato pizza, which is their most popular pizza. It had ground beef, bacon, corn, and cheese. Their crust is stuffed with sweet potato mousse and oh my gosh, it was absolutely delicious. The textures were great, the flavors were fantastic -- even though we weren't hungry, we ate a lot! I loved the sweet potato! The whole pizza was the definitely of sweet and savory! We also got the Gold Cheese Stick, which is their version of bread sticks with cheese and sweet potato mousse. It comes with a garlic dipping sauce that is slightly sweet and complimented it perfectly! You can get the garlic sauce on its own too so be sure to grab some to dip your pizza in! It's definitely a must get! It's a bit unfortunate that they weren't allowing dine ins when we went so we had to get it to go and eat it at our hotel. Service was good! Everyone was friendly! Would absolutely recommend and would definitely come again. It's a bit far from where we normally stay but worth it. We're planning another short SoCal trip soon and Hello Pizza is already on our list of places to go to!
Whenever we are in this area we always stop by to see Danny. He is a very hard working owner. He takes pride of his business and has the best personality. The Korean pizza and chicken is good too. You won't find a better Korean pizza in this area. Always get the Gold anything the sweet potato crust is amazing. they have good lunch specials but I wish I can try more menu items everything looks so good. Thank you for always taking care of us Danny!

It's so hard to find a good Korean pizza place that feels both cute and authentic, but this place absolutely delivered! As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. He was incredibly kind and took the time to give us detailed recommendations, which honestly made us even more excited for the food. The restaurant itself is adorable, too. I especially loved the wall mural filled with children's drawings. it was such a sweet, charming detail and so enjoyable to look at while we ate. And the pizza was incredible! From the sweet potato filling to the beautiful colors of the crust, everything was so thoughtfully made. The arugula was super fresh, they gave us just the right amount, and the proportion of all the toppings was perfect. Even their homemade pickles were SO good! We also ordered the chicken, which was beautifully fried. crispy on the outside and coated with a delicious sauce. You can really tell how much love, care, and passion the owner has poured into both the restaurant and the menu. It made the entire experience feel extra special. I'm already looking forward to coming back and bringing my family and friends next time! read more

I LOVE this place so much!! The food here if amazing, and I highly recommend the bulgogi pizza ( mainly the heart shape cause it's cute ). The shop is very nice and cozy. One of the coolest elements of this place is that there is a claw machine, but not just any claw machine, it has an actual strong claw and isn't a rip off because of the great prizes. Also great service, and very nice employees. Overall a great place! read more

My favorite pizza place! This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for I think about 6 months. I took some of the not so nice reviews about here into consideration and I'll just say sorry they had a bad experience. So far, mine have been great. I think they're family owned and staff is very friendly. I prefer to order over the phone or online as I'm usually ordering around my lunch hour. My order is ready within about 20 min. The longest I've ever had to wait was 45 min total but since I ordered ahead it was only about 10 min after my arrival time. I come so often, a couple of them know me by name now lol. The potato pizza is so yummy and different! Big chunks of potatoes and bacon with hidden slices of onion, corn kernels, mushrooms, and beef. I really enjoy the sweet potato mousse as it adds the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I'm also pretty basic and get just a pepperoni pizza. Sometimes I switch it up and add veggies lol. I tried the bulgogi pizza and it wasn't for me. I dunno, I'll stick to eating bulgogi with rice and not on pizza. Thanks for the awesome service and food! See you next week :) read more
Friendliest employees and great service. The food: Pizza - I've only had their bulgogi pizza. It tastes great but it's a bit overpriced. Their regular size can feed one person... maybe two if they're not very hungry. Fried chicken - I've only had the sweet and spicy and it's great. Crunchy fried chicken in thick sweet and spicy sauce. First and foremost, Danny, the owner, is the friendliest guy you can ever meet. He has the personality of treating everyone as if they are a regular and a close friend. I placed an order over the phone and went to pick it up. My wife and I wanted to place a last minute order of chicken wings and it only took ten minute. We ordered the Potato Good pizza, with tomato sauce, sweet potato mousse, mushroom, ground beef, corn, onion, potato, cheddar cheese, bacon, and sour cream. At first bite, the flavor was good. The regular size is 8 slices and although quite small, was filling. The Hawaiian was good but can improve. I may be at fault since it took me about 40 minutes to bite into the pizza so during this time, it had cooled down. Although ham and pineapple are simple, something didn't marry these toppings on the pizza well. Nonetheless, it was good. I liked the fried chicken - we opted for soy and sweet and spicy. I'd have to say these were my favorite. We were comped free soda and their house sauce since according to Danny, we were suppose to get a discount with our order through a promotion. First time having Korean pizza that isn't from Love Letter and it was 100% better. We got the largest size and split it amongst 4 people, cost was about $8-9 per person and it filled everyone up. The potato pizza has a potato stuffed crust that is crisp and just heavenly. The mushrooms and bacon were such a great addition to the pizza as well because it gave more flavor and texture. They also have Korean fried chicken here but we didn't order it this time. Looking forward to trying that in the future since a lot of reviews say it's good. read more

Wow, what a hidden gem. We picked Hello Pizza on a whim, and were immediately greeted with a smile and good vibes. The dining area had music videos playing, a couple of games for kids to play, and a small toy/comic book section. Before we knew it the pizza was out and who knew that keeping it simple would taste so good. This is the best pizza I've had in a long time, and we've gone to all the uppity bougie pizza spots in Highland Park, Atwater Village, and Los Feliz. None of them hold a candle to this spot. I felt like I was finally tasting the pizza from the original 80s Ninja Turtles cartoon. Can't wait to come back, Thanks Again! read more

What are the vegan options here? Can the sweet potato crust be vegan?
We hav e gluten free curst which is made by rice flour no dairy. Also, we have a vegan cheese option(Daiya cheese). we cannot make sweet potato crust with vegan but we can spread sweet potato on top of vegan cheese. thanks
