A good pizza spot that satisfies both you tastebuds and foodie needs! The food itself is tasty and if you need just a slice or two, you're good to go! (Grab a milk tea next door and you got a legit foodie combo!). The service is always helpful and friendly. I always ask too many questions and they're always good at answering them. The ambiance is friendly. It's not a big spot but there are many seats outside with all the shared restaurants.

Absolutely delicious pizza and chicken wings! The chicken was so flavorful and not too spicy.

First off, the staff were super nice and down-to-earth The prices were great too. I've been to spots in LA and paid $8-10 for mediocre mid pizza I love the area that it's in as well-it's nice to just unwind and sit back and enjoy some pizza. Their pepperoni and Rocky's mix pizza slices were delicious but the thing that took the cake was the BBQ Chicken Deep Dish slices. The sauce and bread were superb and the toppings were a perfect amount. I usually hate deep dish but this one was a thinner style which I liked. 5/5

Best pizza place! Their pizzas are truly made differently. The flavors are fantastic and quality is great! I love Rocky's pizza mix and the bbq chicken pizza!

Rocky's Gourmet (!) Pizza (RGP) is right next door to the Starbucks spin off, Bux fast Pick up. Both are in the Crossroads center across the street from Glendale City College: and as such they get a lot of college students (per Alex who kindly allowed me to snap his photo so i could file it with this review) in for a quick pizza fix. Since it is early in the day (10ish am on a Saturday_ i was able to get the lowdown from the owners son, Alex who personally helped me with my selection: a small Veggie pizza and a (yum) fountain diet Diet coke. As you all know if you have read any reviews of mine of Pizza joints: the crust is the THING. The crust here at RGP is very good not great. And not great because it badly needs salt. That's the negative. The positives: and there are quite a few. The crust is well baked via a Conveyer Oven at about 500 degrees which produces a finely crusty piece of dough with a slight yeasty taste...which is a good thing. RGC just piles on the toppings and did so with my Veggie Pizza: onions, various veggies, tomatoes as well as a good amount of cheese and a oreganoy sauce. The owners here are from Iran and made Pizza there so there is a slight slant towards Iran in their Pizzas. I can go with that especially when it produces such a good product. (though as i noted...salt in the crust is an issue). RGP also has a full menu of Sammies with bread from Porto's: a local bakery known for its primo baked goods. The toppings are impressive as they are plentiful and fresh. The physical plant is super clean as is the bathroom. The floor is so clean you could easily eat off if it. There is a small counter on which to eat plus a slew of tables outside which RGP shares with the other joints in this center. Service-wise: Alex is a nice, personable guy whose knowledge about what this unit produces... is first rate. Oh, by the way: they sell Pizza by the slice which you don't see very often and which is probably a plus when the college students come in looking for a quick meal. Soft drinks only but makes sense with the college right across the street. I will be back. Cheers!

I will be coming here until the day I die. When I have kids, this will be our family pizza night every week. I've tried almost every pizza here and they're all great. I haven't tried any sides so I can't speak to those, but from the pizzas, I don't think you can miss. Dough, ingredients, sauce, cheese - all top notch.

(Tookout 12/17/20 TH @ 5:00pm): Nothing rocky about this pizza place, but calling it gourmet might be a stretch! Living during these COVID-19 times, my roommate and I have eaten a lot of takeout pizza as we have systematically been trying all of the neighborhood pizza joints and wherever we might be which was the latter case this time with Rocky's Gourmet Pizza. Actually, I saw a coupon menu flyer at my mom's house and almost instantaneously decided to check them out before I went home. Was this fortuitous moment a good one!? PURCHASE 1/2lb 5pc Buffalo Chicken Wings ($5.99): At more than $1.00/piece and truly an impulse buy, these were fine but surely nothing special or memorable https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Q9leOw9FRZ9sJfLIxncKZQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Italian Combo Submarine Sandwich ($7.99): Made with slices of ham, mortadella, and salami between a lightly toasted flaky roll, this was deliciously simple but wished there was more cheese, vegetables, and meat https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=TPujRSuDAe-c--eqzyyPxg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Large Greek Salad w/Balsamic Vinegar Dressing ($8.49 + $0.25): Made with romaine lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber, green pepper, black olives, fresh parsley, oregano, and feta cheese, I generally enjoyed this but preferred sizable pieces of feta cheese instead of flecks which eventually dissolved into the salad. Also, the lettuce didn't need to be so finely-chopped https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2DqyoamRHn9BWsO_WQywIA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Large Rocky's Special "Makhsoos" Specialty Pizza ($20.99): A collaboration of pizza sauce, bacon, mozzarella, mushroom, turkey, ham, salami, red onion, and green pepper, the amount and size of all the ingredients covered the pie nicely for even distribution in every bite - a solid pizza https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=RN8kzZKebwUu7ZS1DDmG0A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! Large Vegetarian Specialty Pizza ($20.99): Made with pizza sauce, spinach, mozzarella, mushroom, red onion, green pepper, black olives, diced tomato, and broccoli, same comments as with the previous pizza, I liked this one more for its perceived healthiness - yummy https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=zp-rfDXdSUl3PXLjRFZaYQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE During these COVID-19 times, they recommended online orders/payment for takeout although they also accepted phone orders (which I did) and walk-ups available. The gentleman who took my order was friendly and efficient. I arrived about an hour later with only one customer ahead of me. Quickly enough, I was up next with my order ready, small chit-chat with the possible manager/owner, and eagerly I went to get home and feast on these - all was good! PARKING (FREE) They shared a tight parking lot with several other businesses, I luckily found a spot. Otherwise there seemed to be some parking along the parallel drags of Canada Blvd. and Verdugo Rd. - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DƉCOR, AMBIENCE Located directly across from Glendale Community College, this seemed primarily a takeout joint although pre-COVID-19 there was a small amount of space for a few tables and chairs which were removed at this time. I appreciated the clean and clear environment with an easily legible menu above up on the wall behind the order counter which was directly in front of you. There were some outdoor tables if you wanted to hang around. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front glass windows and front doors while standard electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I couldn't recall any TVs or background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2kjk3lanXx5Hb6Apph5CMw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was surprised Rocky's Gourmet Pizza has been around for nearly ten years according to the gentleman I dealt with, and was happy to have seen the coupon menu flyer at my mom's that brought me here. The prices were very competitive (the wings seemed high), the food was good albeit nothing really stood out, and the service was fine for what I needed, and the menu selection was varied enough that I wanted to try several of their other specialty pizzas. And, it was always a pleasure to support a mom & pop small business https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Aw1KQ_4gm2k7ma38gH7XwQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $66.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Yelp review rated this place a 4.9 stars rating from 260+ people (an almost perfect rating). I read…read moresome of the reviews which seemed very exaggerated which created doubt...I was completely corrected. First bite to the last, the meal was delicious. We got a couple of hot sandwiches. A Pastrami and a Philly Cheesesteak which they recommended. It was unbelievable how good the sandwiches were. The rolls were warm and crispy, and the flavors were well balanced. The Pastrami had a brilliant balance between the mustard and pickle. The Philly Cheesesteak had the same brilliant balance with the meat and cheese that was in every bite. I was torn between the two great sandwiches. I'd have to say that this place has become, so far, my favorite spot for a Philly Cheesesteak and Pastrami. This place is a must return kind of place for me to stop by for a bite (even when I'm not hungry), and I can't wait to recommend or bring people here. Chefs made the sandwiches perfectly and were quick to get us our food. No private parking lot. No chairs but only tables to stand and eat your food, but it was worth it. Bring enough $ to tip handsomely, because I'm sure you'll want to.

Just found this place through Instagram ads and decided to give it a try. Just for information,…read moretheir working hours are 9 AM-9 PM, 7 days a week. I mentioned this because we missed it on one of our attempts. Finally, on Sunday evening, my husband and I had a chance to visit Butcher and Booze. Very interesting store, with a delicious smell. There is a huge section of drinks where you can find very unique wines and alcoholic beverages. They also have a section of Japanese drinks, and in another corner, different kinds of unique seasonings, BBQ charcoal, and other BBQ supplies. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Next to the drinks section, there are several tables available indoors and two tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining to enjoy your meals. Their food menu is very interesting, and we tried the Philly cheesesteak and pastrami sandwiches (which they prepare completely in-house from A to Z). The sandwiches were super delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. One thing that surprised me was the amount of salt they used -- it was exactly the right amount, and we didn't get thirsty after eating them. These sandwiches are some of the best we've tried so far, and I highly recommend giving them a try. I noticed a huge samovar (large kettle) and another kettle in the corner of the open kitchen, and I asked about them. Argisht, who noticed my interest and who I believe is behind the kitchen and the delicious food success there, started a very warm and helpful conversation with us and surprised us by serving cups of tea. The tea tasted super soft and delicious. If you have ever tried Middle Eastern tea, you will love this tea. Luckily, they are selling it in the store, if I am not wrong it was Sri Lanka tea, which I have never seen in any store around Glendale or Burbank. Thank you for the great food, awesome store, and very positive and friendly service. With just one visit, Butcher and Booze will become one of your usual spots, so don't miss it!

We came here on Christmas Eve hoping to try their sandwiches but to also buy some meat as a white elephant gift. First off we were greeted warmly by the staff - not just the cashier but every staff member working behind the counter. On top of that, they gave us a shot of cognac for my husband and I to try. We decided to try buy some wagyu burger patties for the white elephant (we ended up winning these back during our white elephant - they were excellent!). The patties were juicy, rich, and so tasty! Can't wait to try other cuts! When we checked out, they offered us two small complimentary bottles of champagne and some produce from their refrigerated area. this was so kind of them to do so. This place is like your one stop shop - hot food, butcher, alcoholic drinks, liquor, and other cooking goods like seasonings, caviar, butter etc. Unfortunately they were not serving sandwhiches that day so we didn't get to try but we will definitely be coming back to try! Thanks so much to the staff and Butcher and Booze for treating us like fam.

Staff were absolutely wonderful and very helpful with menu items and deciding between the 'crispy' or regular Caesar wrap. I love the industrial Italian atmosphere when you walk in. It's decently sized which is nice because I was able to save half for lunch the next day however, I did use a different Caesar from the fridge in an effort to minimize my garlic intake the 2nd day.
