Fresh dough ready to be made into mouthwatering pizzas

Coming back just to say that I loved Nona Rosa so much I brought them back as the midnight snack for my WEDDING. It was our most complimented part of the event. Truly the best. Love the pizza. Love the team. Can't wait for more big days together.

Having a mobile wood fire oven at our event was a huge hit. And look at this cute color.

Today I hired Nona Rosa to cater my HOA social: Pizza & Pinot. We had the event last fall, but used franchise chain store pizza. This year, I got the last minute idea to do something nicer, and I'm so glad Nona Rosa was available. They were professional, affordable, friendly, clean, and even brought fun music. They provide really cute wooden tables trimmed in their teal brand color. But we also used our own tables to keep with our black and red theme. Most importantly, the pizza was a huge hit! All the residents were pleasantly surprised that we weren't getting the cheap commercial pizza they expected. Nona Rosa Pizza has a light sourdough crust with fresh, yummy, ingredients. The honey jalepeño was to LIVE for! But all 6 of their menu flavors were loved. There are even vegan &/or GF options. And afterwards, the staff cleaned up so well, that you wouldn't even know they'd been there. I couldn't write this review fast enough. Thanks, Jesse & Shay. 10/10

10/10, AMAZING! I had Nona Rosa cater my son's birthday party this weekend and all of the guests raved about how good it was! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend for any event. Having the pizzas made fresh onsite really adds to the ambiance of the party and enhances the overall experience for guests. We will 100% be hiring them again.

How much fun did we have? How amazing was Jesse? SO MUCH! He is great! So accommodating, so friendly and just a blast! He's like having your good friend making your pizzas and salad. Just like having him part of the party. So happy I went with Nona Rosa pizza for my daughter's 30th birthday. The pizza was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were delicious and the pizzas just kept coming! Salad was pretty wonderful as well. We loved the set up and everyone enjoyed themselves. Highly recommend! No need to look elsewhere! Grazie Grazie Jesse!

Thank you Nona Rosa for catering my granddaughters baptism/ birthday celebration! The food and service were above and beyond any of our expectations. Keep doing what you're doing! Guardado Family

Set up in the driveway was quick and easy. Cleaned up so good you wouldn't have known they were there!

We hired Jesse and his crew to cater our Retirement/NYE party for approx 100 people. We went to Verdugo Bar to do a "not-so-secret" taste test and knew IMMEDIATELY this is who we want for the party! Is there anything better than fresh hot pizza!? EVERYONE at the party loved the pies!! My favorite was the Honey Jalapeño....and I couldn't get enough of the salad either. Friendly, efficient, fast,AND delicious, are only a few of the ways I would describe Nona Rosa Pizza!! (sorry I didn't get more pics at the party, I was busy retiring)

I recently went in and ordered a Philly cheesesteak over the counter. I waited patiently, tipped well, and about 20 minutes later an employee looked me directly in the eye, handed me a sandwich, and told me my order was ready. I got home, opened the sandwich, and found a turkey sandwich. Completely different order. I immediately called the store and explained what happened. Instead of an apology, I was told I needed to bring the sandwich back and that the entire sandwich needed to be there. Of course the entire sandwich was there. I hadn't touched it. I was also told they would start making my correct sandwich while I drove back. When I returned, the person I spoke with, who appeared to be a supervisor, manager, or owner, told me, "You must have taken the wrong sandwich." No. Your employee handed me the wrong sandwich and told me it was mine. When I explained that, the response was essentially, "Well, I was on break, so I don't know." That attitude bothered me far more than the original mistake. Mistakes happen. Handing someone the wrong sandwich is an easy mistake to forgive. What isn't so easy to overlook is treating the customer as though the mistake was somehow their fault, requiring them to drive all the way back, and showing virtually no apology or concern for wasting their time. Then came the replacement sandwich. The original cheesesteak I watched them prepare went through the pizza oven. The replacement did not. They also used American cheese instead of the cheese I ordered, and the sandwich was noticeably underbuilt, with very little meat, as shown in my photo. After the interaction I had just experienced, it was difficult not to view the replacement as passive-aggressive. What should have been simple was, "We're sorry. We handed you the wrong sandwich. We'll make this right." Instead, I felt accused, inconvenienced, and then handed a lesser sandwich as though they were doing me a favor. I've been coming here since the previous owners, going back to the late 1980s. Unfortunately, this also isn't the first time recently that I've received substandard service or a substandard product. At some point you have to stop judging a place by what it used to be and judge it by what it is today. For me, this experience did exactly that. I'd keep the photo of the underbuilt cheesesteak attached. It supports the part of the review people might otherwise dismiss as subjective.

In the meantime we decided to take a look what there was around to go eat in the meantime. What caught our attention when looking online was the Bugolgi Pizza. We decided to head out there and try it out. We arrived and the shop was very clean. We were greeted with smiles on their faces. Once we sat we looked over the menu and decided what we were going to order. We ordered a Bugolgi Pizza and Korean Style Fried Chicken. ( We ate it before we thought about taking a picture lol.) The food was delicious, very good and presentable. The Bugolgi pizza toppings were the Bugolgi Beef, onions and green bell peppers. Absolutely like no other. There's no other place that we know of that has Bugolgi on pizza. The order of the Korean Style Fried Chicken (we got plain because of our daughter) . Our basket had some potato wedges, some deep fried dumplings, and the chicken. We also got some I believe radish side, ketchup and ranch. Everything in that basket stars! It was so good. We all enjoyed our meal. To top everything off. My fiancé and I were so amazed at their customer service. They pay attention to their clients, they want you to be satisfied. I played their claw machine and they hinted the best way to win a prize on it. They saw we needed an extra plate and they brought it out without asking. My fiancé was the one who was able to win a prize from the claw machine. Shortly after when, one of the employees ( I'm not sure if owner) blew up a little heart balloon and attracted it to the plushie for our daughter. After paying we headed out to the door and he went out of his way to say goodbye to us with a smile on his face as we left. We definitely will be back. Thank you Hello Pizza

Hello Pizza brings Korean-inspired pizza to the neighborhood. Love the unique flavors (bulgogi,…read moreBuldak, potato) and pizza styles (ie. sweet potato mousse gold crust) they serve up here. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wasn't really a fan of their pizza dough, which to me, has a consistency of thin, dried, stale bread - that's just my personal opinion though. It didn't seem to bother anyone else in my party. I guess could round up to 4.5 stars 1. Bulgogi Gold Pizza (4.5/5) The bulgogi was marinated well and were evenly spread throughout each pizza slice. The base of this pizza is tomato sauce and it is topped off with onion, bell pepper and cheddar cheese. The gold crust of course if a layer of crispy melted cheese. The inside of the crust contains sweet potato mousse, which adds a slight sweetness to the palate. The combination works well. 2. Buldak Pizza (2/5) This is the newest item on their menu, so we had to try it. Love the concept of the flavor, but it just wasn't our favorite because it was too sweet. The bulk sauce is a Korean sweet and spicy sauce that kind of resembles BBQ sauce. We felt that the sweetness of the sauce overpowered everything, including the spicy part. The chicken was also too dry. I did like the stuffed cheese crust though as it had a decently cheesiness to it. It was good to try, but we will skip it next time. 3. Bulgogi Taco Pizza (5/5) What is there not to like about bulgogi and taco, let alone, in pizza form? The toppings are Korean marinated BBQ beef, chopped red onions, cilantro, and hot taco sauce. It was pleasantly savory and packed with flavor that's truly reminiscent of street tacos. 4. Potato Gold Pizza (5/5) If you are hungry and looking for a carb-heavy, yet satisfying bite, this is the pizza to get. It has tomato sauce base, topped with cheddar cheese, ground beef, strips of bacon, corn, onion, mushroom, sour cream and a slice of potato wedge on each slice of pizza. Of course, the crust contains the sweet potato mousse. The bacon and seasoned potato wedges really adds savoriness to this pizza. The corn and sweet potato mousse crust adds a tinge of sweetness. The combination of all the ingredients made our taste buds dance with happiness. Overall, I recommend Hello pizza to anyone who is wanting to venture to try new pizza flavors. It's a palate experience to remember!!!

Thanks Eddie for your service and help. During my order, I found out that their pizzas have a base cost which was about $19+. Depending on what flavors you want, they will charge $6.00 for each flavor you build your own. I wanted half Hawaiian and half Vegetarian. Custom Medium would have cost me $31+ rather than $23+ for Medium Hawaiian Style only. I ended up with the latter and also got a regular Vodka Sauce Pasta. Total bill came to $38 including tax + tip. I enjoyed the pizza very much. Crust was thin. Sauce was tasty. Plenty of ingredients on pizza. Square cuts versus slice cuts. As for the Vodka Sauce Pasta, it didn't taste the same as before. This time it tasted bland as if it had plain marinara sauce only. Slightly disppointed about that, hence, 4 stars! The Crazy is a white sauce and the pepperoni is a red sauce and they had no problems with that. Amazing. Love it when things are this customizable and this easy. Pizza crust is solid. I normally don't eat my crust, but this one has good flavor and I enjoyed it all on its own. It's a really thin crust that I would normally eat with a knife and fork, but not so thin that you can't pick it up and eat it folded, if that's your bag. The round on the Crazy half all went well together - very balanced flavors and very nice quality ingredients. My dining partner enjoyed his pepperoni/sausage half less, but said that the pepperonis were the most flavorful ingredient, the sausage didn't do it at all for him (too little flavor) and that the sauce want his favorite. However he still said that he enjoyed the pizza overall! We've heard that their ajarskis are not to be missed, so next time we will try that. I can imagine that this crust would lend itself perfectly to ajarski. We also got some sodas. They have the glass bottle Cokes w cane sugar! And they have Dr Pepper (cans only)! I feel like that's often hard to find at restaurants, and it's my favorite. This place is cozy. They have a handful of nice wooden tables inside, and the space is actually comfortable to sit in, with good lighting and the warmth of the pizza oven on cold days! The have two outside tables as well, with a heater! This style of pizza really reminds me of the pizzas in northern Italy, and this place is doing quite a good version of that that I feel you actually rarely find here, even in LA and certainly not at these great prices. I've had fancy expensive versions like this in this town that I've enjoyed less. On that point alone, this place is knocking it out of the park. Quality that doesn't break the bank. Our pizza was prepared quickly, brought to our table pipping hot and with friendly service. Parking is pretty easy in this location, if not put front in the diagonal street spaces, along the streets in the neighborhood on the ends of the block. And if you're hankering for dessert, there's an excellent gelato place right next door to complete your tour of Italy!

I didn't check the price but I'm wishing it still had the price tag from 1975 on it. Made me think of the Werewolf of London drinking a Pina Colada and his hair was perfect. Another good find was a dusty bottle of Crème de Menthe. It made me want to look up the recipe for a Grasshopper. I don't know if these old mixer's are for sale or just museum pieces. The sandwiches look pretty good, I'll have to try one another time. Overall the veggie pizza was pretty good, but a bit heavy on the veggies. I generally like fewer toppings, but everyone is different. I suppose in the future I could ask to go light on the toppings. But I'd rather they be generous rather than skimpy.
