Tried Blaze Pizza for the first time yesterday with my boyfriend and overall, it was a pretty solid experience. If you've never been, it's very much Chipotle-style but for pizza. You choose your dough, sauce, and toppings, and they fire it up fresh in their oven. The bake time was actually super quick, which was great because we were pretty hungry when we arrived. We decided to go with one of their signature pizzas, the Blazed BBQ, and I asked for no jalapeños with ranch on the side. We also ordered their original cheese bread. Nothing really blew me away flavor-wise, but everything tasted good and did exactly what it needed to do. The pizza was decent, filling, and satisfying, and the cheese bread with marinara was definitely a plus. It ended up being a great lunch date spot. My only small critique is that the store itself felt a bit messy. Nothing unsanitary at all, just crumbs on the tables and some noticeable marks on the walls. Other than that, no real complaints. When placing toppings the young lady was extremely stingy and erratic - toppings some places but none in other places. I think there were 3 employees. They looked miserable. I get blaze pizza very frequently and I stopped by at this location and it was extremely messy. All the counters had toppings everywhere. The teen that took my order got mozzarella on everything and it landed in all the sauces and all over the counter. While waiting in line to be assisted, you can see the laughter between multiple workers. You just wait till they are finished with their conversations, then they will assist you. We've dined here numerous times and enjoy the build your own process. Our last visit yesterday was disappointing. The staff seemed more interested in interacting with each other than with their customers. We each did end up with a pizza built to our liking except due to the staff person tending the oven and his ongoing conversations, my wife's pizza crust was overdone and somewhat burnt. Rather than return it and wait, she decided to eat what she could. Also of note, while we dined there, we noticed that that floor of the restaurant was littered with pizza and used napkins. During the 45 minutes we were there, no employee came to do any housekeeping. When we left, I decided to use the restroom and that was enlightening. The restroom was dirty, messy and unkempt. I do wish they had fries as one of the toppings , it's really hard to find a pizza places that have French fries or potato's as pizza toppings.
