Wow! Look at all the negative reviews related to late orders, bad customer service and terrible attitudes. They need to clean house and hire a new manager and staff! I placed a $400 on-line order for curbside pick up the following day. I called the restaurant the morning of pick up & confirmed that the order was received & WILL BE READY BY the requested time. I arrived 15 mins early, parked right in front and notified restaurant through the order email confirmation that I had arrived. Five minutes after the promised time, no sandwiches. I went into the restaurant & inquired about my order. I was told that it would take another 10-15 mins. I asked to speak to the mgr - Angel Saucedo came out (he was panting and sweating) & I explained that my order wasn't ready and if he could look into it. He casually walked to the sandwich station, came back & said 6-7 "hot" sandwiches still had to be made. He said they started making the large order 30 mins before my pick up time. I told him it was unacceptable that my order wasn't ready. I could not wait for the 15-20 mins as my meeting was scheduled in 20 mins and i was 10 mins from the meeting location. He offered no apology but instead gave me the attitude. No one updated me as I waited outside. He said he didn't like my attitude (Apparently asking why my order is going to be 30 mins late is having "bad attitude") & said he will cancel my order. He lost the owner of this Jersey Mike's $400 and all those wasted sandwiches that were already made! Angel is an idiot! He flew off the handle, cancelled my order & I left without any food. I happily spent the $400 elsewhere with no attitude. I've told many people about this awful experience and also emailed Jersey Mike's complaint department on their website. The owner responded with confirmation of the order refund and that he would look into it. Angel needs to be investigated, fired & and replaced with a real manager. Like other patrons have stated, employees look miserable here. It's probably bc of Angel. He doesn't represent the Jersey Mike's brand and experience that I've had at other locations. I popped into this location and had great service! I was greeted immediately upon walking in and didn't wait long before ordering. I got my usual: No. 7 on Rosemary Parm bread, mikes way and added honey mustard and red pepper relish. Only slight complaint was that it was a tad overly dressed with the oil/vinegar and made the sandwich a bit soggy. We ordered 16 subs and one of them was not there when I picked it up. I figured we must not have paid for that but they insisted I did and told me how bad they felt. I was very impressed with their customer being right attitude. They tried to give me some extras to help me feel even more valued but I turned them down. Of anyone who it was best to happen to, it was me. Since it was for a church function, I took this as an opportunity to show that people can be good. I had dinner here and ordered a sandwich. It was absolutely perfect. Everything tasted fresh, and the customer service was excellent. You could tell they really care about quality and cleanliness. One thing worth mentioning: while I was there, a glass container with what seemed like oil or spices accidentally broke. The staff immediately threw out everything nearby, including big containers of lettuce, the tomatoes, and even the sandwich they were in the middle of making, even though the glass didn't break directly over it or even close to it. We come to this location from La Crescenta because our local store is so bad. At the La Canada location our app orders are always correct, the bread is tasty/fresh and more often than not, our order is ready and waiting at the correct time. Very satisfied with this location making it worth the extra drive. For all the people giving this location poor reviews, visit the La Crescenta location a few times to pick up app orders which are 100% always wrong with dry/disintegrating bread and grumpy disinterested employees. I'm a big fan of Jersey Mikes. And an even bigger fan when there is a coupon! ha ha. For the first half of June they had a buy one, get one free deal, which was great! My "go-to" sandwich is the California Club with American Cheese. It it not always listed on the menu but it is turkey, bacon, cheese, avocado, and the toppings. I think it is about $9.50 and is pretty good. I could go without the bacon, but I love the white American cheese at Jersey Mikes. I recently found it at Sprouts supermarket, but for some reason it just tastes better at Jersey Mike's The Philly cheese steak is also a go-to choice for myself. They make it hot on the grill, so it is usually pretty great. The Chicken parm, unfortunately is made more with the microwave, so that one is not as good as my expectations led me to believe. I wish I could give it at least 2 stars, because I hate to leave a completely negative review, but the staff here is a bunch of lazy, entitled, wet-behind-the-ears kids, and not only do they give terrible service, they know it and refuse to do better! And it shows! (I was young once and working for minimum wage in restaurant & retail, and I managed to do right by the customers, who always used to ask for me - so it IS possible to get it right.) It's never busy when I go, and now I can guess why. I give it 1 star for cleanliness (although that's mostly from the lack of customers). I eat at JMs all over the county (even in OC when I'm down there), and always get great service. I also love the sandwiches. But if I have to tell the staff what a "Jersey dip" is, then there's a fundamental problem with the staff's attitude. They're not helpful or even apologetic about their ignorance or arrogance; they seem to want you to know that they think the job is beneath them and that YOU, the paying customer, are an intrusion, not a priority! (By contrast, I've been to one in West LA near my office plenty of times - it's always busy for lunch, the workers are a bit older, and the service is awesome.) I absolutely love this Jersey Mike's!! The people that work there are friendly and are great at what they do. I have been to a few other Jersey Mike's, and they are good but not as good as this one. They have taken extra steps to keep everyone safe during this pandemic and I appreciate that. The only thing that I would like to add is that I wish ALL Jersey Mike's employees wore masks while preparing the sandwiches.
