We stopped at this McDonald's on the 4th of July as our final break during a long drive from Elk Grove (Sacramento) to our new home in Chino Hills, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. The restaurant is spacious and has a large PlayPlace, making it a great stop for families traveling with kids. Even on a holiday, it wasn't very crowded inside. We initially stopped here because our daughter needed to use the bathroom, but we decided to grab something to eat as well. I appreciated how clean everything was. The dining area was well maintained, and the restrooms were clean, which is always something I notice when traveling. The customer service was wonderful as well. After ordering from the kiosk, I realized I had forgotten to add cheese to my daughter's burger. I went to the counter, politely explained the situation, and the employee happily added it without any hassle. It was such a small gesture, but it made a big difference and was greatly appreciated. After a long day of driving and moving, this was the perfect place to recharge before the last stretch home. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and a positive experience all around. The only reasons I knocked off a couple of stars are the following: the fries seemed a bit stale (McDonald's fries are usually my favorite). We might have gotten a batch that had been sitting there for a while. In addition, my chicken nuggets appeared to be overcooked/slightly burnt. read more

This is just about the management here is horrible. Took little ones for an afternoon lunch. Bought a pair of happy meals. When the kids were playing in the play area they cleaned the tables and tossed the toys in trash. When I asked for them to replace the toys the manager was pushing back saying they can't replace the toys. She was rude about it as well. Just horrible service. read more

Service is incredibly slow, drive through is so inefficient as they ask you to pull to the side to wait for your order for at least 5 mins, order is incorrect over 50% of the time. Can't figure out why this is so consistently poor. read more

I wanted to check out this location now that the old benches have been replaced. Hurray! Very nice! Problem this was the worst lunch experience ever. This is Sunday, Oct 26, 2025. 1:03pm. No manager in sight. Complete chaos. Let me explain. My order for 5 people was wrong: 1) Missing a burger fries and drink meal 2) Gave a wrong double cheese burger 3) Missing 3 ice creams 4) Missing milk for happy meal 5) Left my order at the counter even though I requested table delivery. 6) Took almost 20 minutes So basically I had slow service and half the order is wrong. And no I did not pick up someone else's order. My receipt and order number were on the tray; it was my order. No one bothered to check the order before leaving it cold on the counter. No manager in sight. It got busy at some point but that means everyone has to focus more as to not get the wrong orders. Very disappointed. I was going to give more stars for the new benches, but now I wish I could remove a star for such bad service. I live nearby and visited this location with my grandkids regularly. was always impressed with courteous andhelpful employees as well as cleanliness and play area. Since the font entrance remodel it is no longer inviting. my last visit was very disappointed that the 2 cheeseburgers for 6.00 are now almost 10.00 certainly no bargain anymore. I can get 2 much higher quality cheeseburgers at in and out for about the same price. probably will not be visiting anymore read more

McDonalds use to have the best fries around. McDonalds in La Canada is one of the worst around. The fries are never fully cooked. I do not go to McDonalds often, but when I do I have high hopes that their fries are cooked correctly. Today I asked for my fries to be well done. Was asked to pull into one of the parking stalls, no one was behind me, 10 minutes later I was given limp fries that were not cooked very well at all. I would not normally take the time to do a review but I'm done. McDonalds prices are so high their quality of food product needs to live up to their prices. I worked for McDonalds when I was a teenager and our General Manager would check the temperature of the fry vats weekly. He would also check the timers. It's obvious that this is not done. The training here is subpar or the people working don't care. I ordered through the app got chicken nuggets, but no barbecue sauce came through even though I ordered it on the receipt. I tried to explain to the girl in the drive-through that the drinks were off and she offered me another one and I got a Sprite instead of a Coke and that mixture was off also. When I got home, I called to let them know that they forgot my barbecue sauce and that my drinks were all off and the person on the phone said that we can give you a refund if you drive back but could not credit my account back even though it's through an app. Customer service was poor resolving this situation. There was nothing they could do except for me to drive back 20 minutes to get a refund and drive another 20 minutes to eat. read more

I had the 2 for $5.50 sausage egg McMuffin, and it was actually very tasty, just the way I remembered it like a decade ago... since I don't frequent McDonalds much. One was a '2 cheeseburger combo' WITHOUT cheese on both. The order was taken correctly as noted on the receipts, all the receipts. Even the order ticket receipt attached to each wrapper specifying what the contents are. --- NO AMRCN Cheese --- Opening both up only to find....CHEESE! ON BOTH! Do not go here on New Year's Day...or if you don't see a long line. We just ordered 3 Filet-O-Fish and oddly noticed no cars in line for ordering food. We took the food home as usual but all 3 sandwiches had fish filets that were stale (chewy) and dried out from being under heat lamps all day. Gross! This is an overall good McDonald's location. The food here is as delicious as any McDonald's place, AMAZING! The interior is nice and has an appetizing color scheme such as red, brown, tan, etc. The play place is really nice for kids but depending on the day it is kind of dirty. Also the booths are all basically ripped up and it is not very comfortable on the scratched, torn spots. The service is good but the employees sometimes forget parts of the order, but only occasionally. Lately the Ice cream machine has been Broken for the last few days so that was a bummer, it was Broken from Saturday to Monday at the time I'm posting this. There is a cashier, Seon, who served us. He was absolutely excellent! I was so surprised of how friendly, clear, and exacting he was so I asked him how long he had worked at this McDonald's. I expected him to say several years because he was so professional. He responded that he is only worked a month. Seon is a superstar and you need to hold onto employees like this. This is the dirtiest, most disgusting McDonald's I've been to. All the tables are full of trash and the floor is disgusting. It is 8:45 pm on Friday 10/24/25. It's pretty empty. It hurts me to leave a bad review for my hometown McDonald's that I frequent weekly. But I had a really negative experience today: I went in the app to use a 50% off cookie coupon. When paying for it went through as a no payment necessary order. Which was great yay a free cookie! But when going to the pickup window the manager confronted me about the free item. While I get the app might have accidentally given me a free cookie vs a 50% off discount. He proceeded to yell at me for not paying and he can't fulfill the item making it seem like I tried stealing from the restaurant. He didn't try offering me the cookie at 50% off even. I was okay with not getting my free cookie, but was humiliated by the manager over a less than dollar purchase. The app was glitchy but the attitude of the manager was unsettling. read more

I am not sure what possessed them to "remodel" a perfectly good location but if this is the plan for other locations, STOP. Changes they made: no more refills, no more kids sizes, no more table service, barely any counter. Food came out awful. Eggs were barely solid. They either removed or forgot stuff in the breakfast. Kids stuff inside was either busted or not working. Bar is pretty low anyways, but this location seems intent on challenging it to set it even lower. read more
