Back in the day I used to eat at LaneSplitter on San Pablo, my favorite was pepperoni with garlic and bell pepper. They have seats and and at this point I can't say much about the ambience. It was a pleasant surprise to see they opened on Keller in the East! Last week I ordered a pie and picked it up! The parking lot was clear and well lit! It was ready quick and The next day I heated up the last piece in the Air Fryer! This is a great option to have in East Oakland. I look forward to enjoying this pizza frequently! It's just bad pizza, the staff are incompetent, and the place itself is weird and dreary. Nothing inside the restaurant inspires confidence that you'd want to eat there. I ate here a couple days after they opened, the pizza was bad. It was undercooked and greasy, but I didn't want to leave a negative review due to them being brand new, and having one kid working who probably had never made pizzas before. Genuinely would have preferred a gross cheap chain pizza or a frozen pizza instead. First pizza I've thrown away in my life. Whatever, didn't want to be the guy to leave their first bad review. Yesterday, they left a flyer on my doorknob, had some specials on it, and they're literally across the street from my house. Figured I'd give them another shot now that they're established. Ordered online because the flyer said discounts were only available with online orders. Ordered two pizzas, website said they were done and ready after thirty minutes. My wife arrived ten minutes after that, and they hadn't even started them. They came out suspiciously quick, and were still too hot to touch by the time they got home. Good! No, just kidding. They were simultaneously burned and undercooked due to poorly arranged toppings, paper thin crust floppier than a NY slice, flavorless sauce, and insanely salty, rubbery cheese. Greasiest pizza I've seen in ten years, and it was only a standard pepperoni. Wife and kid each had a slice, I had two, and we all collectively decided to throw the rest away. It was that bad. Again. We have all had upset stomachs yesterday and today. You could do better by eating literally any other product that claims to be pizza. read more

Pizza Lanesplitter is a surprising gem you shouldn't sleep on in the Oakland hills! My friend and I happened to chance upon this place after doing yoga together in the same complex. There's plenty of seating available as well and it was comfortable and cozy. There are an assortment of flavors and reasonable prices. Apparently you can also get a discount if you order online, but we have always gone spontaneously and not tried it out. This place also secretly has tandoori pizza which you can ask the staff about! There's no shortage of good pizza spots in Oakland and I'd put Lanesplitter up there with any of them, particularly when it comes to value. They offer a few traditional type of pizzas as well as specialty ones. The crust is cooked perfectly to my liking, the cheese they use is delicious and the sauce/topping ratios are perfect. Awful service at Laneplitter tonight! I really miss Woody and Skyline Pizza. Even though it wasn't the best pizza they had great customer service. My kids had this pizza "delivered" tonight since I was out and it came to over $50 once the delivery fee was added on. I should have taken it as a sign since it took nearly 15 minutes on the phone to get my order inputted into their system, but I was ok with it and the delivery charge because the last pizza I got there was good. This is what it looked like once it was delivered to my kids! When I stopped in on my way home to complain they demanded that I bring in the pizza if I wanted a refund. What business operates like this? Really disappointing customer service and we definitely will never be ordering here again. read more

First of all, the pizza is really good. The restaurant itself? That's a different story. The inside is what I would imagine a pizza place inside of a prison would look like. It's very boring. There are no pictures or art on the walls. There are no TV's, no music. They don't serve alcohol. There is so much potential for this place but it just seems like they want people to pick up their pizza and go. I can't imagine they want people to dine inside since there is no welcoming atmosphere. Sad, I could really see families coming here on a Friday night and hanging out, but that doesn't feel like the owners want that Note: I came on July 3rd and they have one working TV now. Scammed me, ripped off - make my order AND give me my money back ASAP I recently had one of the most frustrating ordering experiences of my life with Pizza Lanesplitter. I placed an order through Uber Eats for their ghost kitchen (Brooklyn Calzones) on May 4 at 11:04pm. Since the app allowed me to place the order, I assumed the restaurant was still open. I drove all the way there, only to find the restaurant closed. I tried to resolve with Uber first, taking a photo of the closed establishment, thinking it would be a simple refund since the order was never made. Shockingly, Uber told me I could NOT be refunded and that I'd be charged a cancellation fee if I canceled! I then tried to resolve with the restaurant. I called twice; the first time the guy hung up in the middle of me explaining the situation. The second time I asked to speak with the manager, the guy told me "just call tomorrow". Yesterday I decided to go to the restaurant in person to speak directly to the manager, I was met with even more disrespect. The employee I spoke with clearly did not care about my situation, barely listened, and kept walking away mid-conversation. There was only one other customer in the place, so it wasn't exactly busy. I even tried to show him my receipt to prove the order was placed, but he completely ignored me. All I wanted was either my food or my money back, but I got neither. The restaurant staff refused to make the order that I had already paid for and just kept telling me to contact Uber, even after I told them Uber said it was the restaurant's problem. I asked for the manager's phone number and was flat-out denied. The fact that you guys can't make two calzones that was already placed or give me $22 back for the mishap is ridiculous. I will continue writing reviews until the manager addresses this. You guys are a joke. Fix your hours on Uber so people don't make the same mistake I did. read more

I frequent this little shopping center up Keller and remember when Skyline Pizza closed up. I was excited to see a new pizza place open up there. This is Lanesplitter Pizza but the Skyline sign has not been changed yet (I think we were their first customer!) Thin crust pizza. The crust is done right, now too crisp that it's crunchy and not so soft it's chewy. Good amount of toppings. Right amount of cheese. This isn't like a Costco pizza that never seems to have enough cheese. Good sauce. They have a sauce with a good blend of spice which really adds to the taste. Not too much that it over powers the toppings. This was "to go" and our family of 5, ranging from 13 to 87 years old all gave this a thumbs up. Grandma loved the sauce, my daughter has a thing for Basil on her pizza and loved it, 13 year old son loved the pepperoni and I'm a meat eater and will be going back for more. We also tried 2 of their desserts, a brownie pie and a chocolate chip pie. These get warmed up in the pizza oven and are like fresh out of the oven brownies and cookies. They are big, we probably should have only got one. Good dessert if you really think you want more after the pizza. read more

We got the Hawaiian, it was simply incredible!
