I came her on a Tuesday evening before going to the movies with a friend. They have 50% off starters. I had a delicious margarita and the roasted cauliflower and sourdough with garlic. I asked for a side of marinara sauce to go with it. The bread was crunchy and satisfying. The cauliflower was filling without feeling stuffed. I'd definitely order this again! Server was friendly and attentive.

We enjoyed our dinner the night b4 so we decided to have lunch and try other pizzas! Both equally as delicious as the night b4 All Star, Veggie +Sausage and Cesar Salad. Just disappointed no anchovies on the salad as a previous customer had mentioned .

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came with our dogs -- one service animal (vested) and two tiny dogs in bags -- so we requested an outdoor table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We specifically asked about the heater and were told they'd "send someone to turn it on." Later, when our waiter said he didn't know how, I went back to the hostess, and she immediately said, "Oh, they aren't working."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So why not just say that from the start? They clearly already knew the three outdoor heaters were out of gas. It's winter -- something guests should be told upfront. We asked if we could sit inside and were told no because they had "only one waiter." Yet I saw at least four different servers working. We stayed only because we had already ordered -- we're not shady like that -- but honestly, transparency would've saved everyone the trouble. Food: *Caesar salad was cut oddly and overpriced. *Pesto pizza tasted more like spinach -- one of the least flavorful "pesto" pizzas I've had. *Two dirty water cups. *Asked for ice twice and never got it. *Sodas only came after asking twice. Other issues: *[[HIGHLIGHT]]One bathroom stall was completely out of toilet paper.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *[[HIGHLIGHT]]The lock on the handicap stall didn't work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only standout was The All Star pizza -- that one was actually very good. Overall, not worth the visit. Better communication, working heaters, and basic attention to service and facilities would've made a huge difference.

The pizza was phenomenal! Service was good as well. The restaurant is pretty cool! It looks like a bank. What we got: The deep dish all star and added artichokes = 10/10. Garlic cheese bread = 7/10 Definitely will be back to try more food items! Parking was a pain, but, it's downtown Alameda so that's to be expected.

I came here for dinner with my family. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. All the food was really good. I liked the BBQ chicken Pizza and the cheesy bread the most. Give them a try if you're looking for a good pizza spot!

We always walk past The Star on our walks down Park St so finally decided to check it out! The inside is super cool - looks like an old converted bank building! Not too many ppl during Saturday lunch, so it was a nice spot to hang out. The lunch special is such a good deal! $11 for your own personal pizza. We had enough for leftovers! I generally prefer thin crust, so we got two thin crust pizzas, which tasted great. The crust was nice and crispy. I've also heard good things about their deep dish, and the Detroit style that the table next to us got also looked super yummy, so I def want to go back and try those!

It's been a long time since we ate here and decided to try it to see the quality of the food now. Food quality has improved and previous issues we had is no longer an issue. The difference now comes down to the type of crust between Zachary and the Star. It is now personal preference that makes the choice or to have different types of deep dish. Service was on the slow side and part of the issue is that they have a good number of employees there but seems like inefficient assignment leading to server taking a long time to come by from taking order to needing to get drinks refilled.

This was my first time trying their deep dish and I have truly been missing out! The flavors were so amazing and they loaded it up with extra roasted garlic! The salad was also really tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is really large and they also have outdoor seating which allowed our dog to join.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very friendly and constantly checking on us. Will definitely be coming back again!

Service was very friendly. Pizza was good, I loved the roasted garlic in The Star pizza and cornmeal crust. The green goddess was also good.

Making a reservation for a party of 13 was easy over the phone. I was assured we would have a table upstairs. But after checking in last night at 7:30 pm for the reservation. We were given a table downstairs in front. No big deal. We actually had a party of 12 and a high chair. The service from start to finish was very slow and our server was absent at many times. Our server took about 10 minutes to come by and just take our drink orders. One of the mint tea orders didn't arrive until the food came out. Many of the people in our table got the meal deal. But few of us ordered individual pies specifically the Detroit style bbq chicken and large deep dish all star. Some of us thought the bbq chicken could've more bbq sauce. After getting everyone's order the server didn't return to check on the table to ask if everything tasted ok or if we needed anything else. At about 9 pm the restaurant was emptying out and I looked around and couldn't see any staff on the floor to ask for a check. After finally flagging down the server and asking for the bill. He brought it in a scorching hot glass, it must've just came out of the dishwasher because it was very hot. I wanted to pay but again looked around and server was not around. I walked over to him directly to pay. To my surprise he was at the bar talking to the bartender about a party he went to for New Year's Eve. The disappointing part is paying 18% mandatory gratuity of $50.22 for service that was non existent and lacking throughout.

Came here on a busy night and thankfully our party of 2 was seated right away. What did not happen throughout the night was the right away service. We waited on a number of times for staff to get our order, bring our drink (I believe they forgot since I had to ask someone else), and get our check. The food I have always been a fan of and there is always plenty of leftovers if you get the deep-dish. As beautiful as the interior is as some have mentioned the vendor did not do the best job in creating an atmosphere. The dining area looks like a bunch of random scattered tables and chair put together and it is extremely noisy due to the open space. We got the - Pesto Chicken deep dish - filling and good - Burrata Crostini - very good All of their drinks of delicious Overall I would not come back to this location considering there is a The Star location by Lake Merritt that offers a better atmosphere and you can hear the person across from you talking

Delish! Came on Sunday night and was sat immediately. We got the All Star deep dish pizza and loved the flavor and corn meal crust. Also got the broccolini and was nicely charred.

Happy hour personal 1 topping pizza plus a 2nd topping.

Forgot to take a pic but we also ordered very generous happy hour salads-ceasar and wedge and they were pretty big. 2 pizzas and 2 salads fed 2 adults and a 7 year old with leftovers. Was much better than I remembered. A little weird that there were 3 people standing around but not refilling drinks or bussing tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A little tight at a small table to be comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice server though.

This time it fell a bit short. The carpaccio was a fun addition to the menu, but the flavor profiles were off. I was genuinely surprised. Not sure if it was the dressing or if it was the black flaky salt. The burrata was fabulous. The duck was nothing to write home about. It was moist in some areas and then other parts extremely dry. The NA drinks were a fun selection. I recommend the blueberry cucumber one for sweet and the rosemary lemonade for tart. When you need a place to unwind with a glass of wine or treat your family to a fancy pasta with red sauce, this is the place to come. Don't be like us and wait since this place is a fine dining haven! From the ambience to the design of the restaurant to the excellent customer service to the spectacular food & drinks, it seemed everything was on point. Here's what we ordered: Crab and avocado Wedge salad Pork chop Duck breast We look forward to our next dining experience!

Our experience at Ceron Kitchen (CR) was mediocre overall. The standout feature of the experience…read morewas waiting staff who were all patient, attentive, courteous and friendly while remaining professional. Unfortunately, the food was not more than OK. My partner ordered the chicken breast that came with a sort gravy on top with a side potato purée. I ordered the filet mignon with potato purée that was loaded with bacon, chives, sour cream and blue cheese. Both of our orders came with a sparse selection of 3-4 stalks of asparagus that had some yellowish color. It didn't have the freshest taste. My filet mignon was rather small in size, not much flavor and the potato puree could be something better when made at home (I.e. nothing outstanding). The calamari and gnocchi appetizers were OK but not more elevated than what we could get at a conventional diner. The presentation was somewhat reminiscent of cafeteria food. We were disappointed though still finished our meal. The atmosphere at CK is lit just right for romance without being too dark, completely clean, relaxed yet unsurprisingly quite empty for a Saturday night. The value of the meal was not reflective of the high rating that attracted us to CK in the first place. We likely will pay what we did for a better overall dinner experience elsewhere and consider trying out CK for brunch.

My favorite part is their collection thoughtful, balanced, complex drinks. If you want a variety of delectable old fashioneds with different spirits -- you're in luck! ---- Drinks ---- The cocktails are the main reason we keep coming back! Old Fashioned menu. They actually have several varieties and I've really appreciated how they use a different spirit for each! I won't review every single one, but you can't go wrong based on what flavor profile you want. They're all relatively sophisticated, balanced, spirit-forward, and consistently well made. The rest of the cocktail menu is equally thoughtful. Complex, creative, and well executed without trying too hard or going over the top with flavors or presentation. The food is delicious as well although we're usually just here for drinks before/after a meal. More small bites than full meals, but everything we've had has been tasty and pairs well with the drinks. We really enjoyed the empanadas; great flavor and execution. ---- Environment ---- Warm, cozy, and stylish -- but not pretentious or obnoxious. Music volume is always at a level where you can actually have a conversation, which I really appreciate! It does get busy, especially on weekends, but it's never been extreme. We've been seated immediately or only with a short wait most times. ---- Service ---- Friendly, welcoming, and attentive! Always had good experiences with the staff even when busy. Most of them have good recommendations. ---- Tips ---- Make a reservation if you can! Walk-ins are definitely possible, though you may end up sharing a larger communal table. We've done it before and honestly didn't mind. The bathroom can occasionally have a bit of a wait. ---- Overall ---- Love this place. It's become our go-to spot whenever we're in the mood for great cocktails and a relaxed evening and want a reliable experience. One of my favorite cocktail bars in Alameda.
