Go Togo Hand Cut Fries
Sun L.

First timer Street parking in front and garage parking next to the theater Outdoor and indoor seating Local sources items One page menu Clean and organized, good layout, good lighting Service was slow but it was busy so I won't hold them with that

Side Hand Cut Fries - A basket of French fries, cooked to a golden brown, is placed on a green tray lined with white paper. A small cup of ketchup is positioned beside the fries. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant, with a blurred background showing a person’s arm, a backpack, and booth seating.

Small burger joint right next to the movie theater in alameda. Burgers were decently priced for how big they were (1/2 lb of meat!) and came with interesting flavors. The black and blue was so tasty with chunks of blue cheese layered over strips of thick cut bacon. I appreciate the way he cut our kids burger in half when he saw we had two kids with us. He also made sure their fries weren't too hot, which was thoughtful! You do have to wait a bit since their crew is small and they cook everything by hand. But it was definitely worth the wait! We all enjoyed our food immensely and will be returning! The house salad was also a nice surprise; super flavorful and fresh. Not a typical salad dressing. Definitely check this place out if you're visiting alameda.

Kobe Style Burger

First time checking this place out. There was only one family when we arrived for what most people would deem as early dinner but for family with young kids, 5:30 is our usual. But once it was around 6:20, more customers were in. The kid meals are definitely of good value. It also comes with a drink. All that for 10.95, that's good. May seem pricey but when you compare to the same at a fast food, I think it's decent. The Kobe style burgers were yummy. Lots of options to personalized it. And you can taste the quality in the meat, but don't think of it as your high end burger as it isn't when you're paying under $15 for it. One thing to be mindful about is that there was only one staff to manage the whole store throughout the time we were there. So if it gets busy, just be understanding.

Grass Fed Beef Burger with side of fries - A meal consisting of a cheeseburger with a sesame seed bun, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a beef patty, accompanied by a portion of French fries and a small cup of ketchup, served on a metal tray lined with checkered paper. The tray is placed on a wooden table with a napkin nearby.

I came here on a weekend around noon and there was no one inside. There was only one guy working who was both the cashier and the cook. He was very calm, friendly and nice. I got the grass fed beef burger with American cheese and caramelized onions. The burger was huge and absolutely delicious. The cheese was beautifully melted and the beef patty was juicy and really tender. The toppings tasted fresh and the sauce provided good flavor and balance to the burger. I liked that with each bite, I could taste all the toppings and let it be known that the beef was still the star of the burger. The buns were nicely toasted and held everything in the burger perfectly. I also ordered a side of regular fries which came in a generous portion. They were fresh cut and had a nice crispiness on the outside to softness on the inside. I just wish the fries were a little bit more crispier but they still tasted delicious. There weren't a lot of drink options. It was mostly Alameda sodas and as you could probably guess by the name, the sodas were made right here in Alameda. They might have had some beer but I wasn't interested in alcohol this early in the day. They did have 2 pitchers of ice cold water and cups near the door. This was a small location but it actually had plenty of seating inside and outside. They had 2 restrooms that both men and women could use. There was a parking garage around the corner if you couldn't find street parking.

A little hard plastic surprise when biting into my burger, lucky to be alive.

The burgers took a little more time to make, and that's okay since it tasted good. But I bit into a piece broken (probably) hard plastic so maybe I will skip this place for awhile.

It sure did not take me long to return to Project Burger. That California Burger was so delicious that I returned earlier this evening to order two, one for me and one for my husband. I did not and could not wait until this Saturday for that California burger. I'm hooked to that burger. It is not a 1/3 lb. ground beef pattie, but a 1/2 lb. ground beef pattie. In case people don't know the difference between 1/3 lb. and 1/2 lb., a pound is 16 ounces, 1/2 lb. is 8 ounces and 1/3 lb. is 5-1/3 ounces. California Burger is not a fast food business. The burgers are freshly prepared. The wait for a food order can take more than 15 minutes. This visit is also an opportunity for me to get to know the owner. He's friendly and pleasant. I can say with no doubt I will return to try other items on the menu. The description of the turkey club sandwich has perked my interest. In the future when Park Street is having events, I know to pay Project Burger a visit for burger and fries. I know a shake would be perfect, but no can do for health reasons. Because I enjoyed the California Burger so much, I am raising the rating to 5 stars.

California Burger on a wheat bun, fries (extra $) and a bleu burger.

Dry patties, stale buns. Overpriced. Sticking to in and out or habit burger. However the portion is good.

Ordering was a little challenging because chicken and waffles aren't offered as a meal on the menu, so I had to order everything à la carte. I ordered the chicken wings, which came as a plate of six. They were fried very well and had great seasoning. Unfortunately, there was a lot of fat under the skin, which made them difficult for me to eat. The waffle, however, was cooked really well--soft and fluffy with crispy edges. It does have a distinctive flavor that's different from traditional waffle batter. If I had to guess, it tastes like baking powder is used. I really enjoyed the seating. I was able to sit in a small corner nook by myself, which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe felt like a family-oriented, local neighborhood restaurant.

The cucumbers were my favorite--refreshing and nicely pickled (sweet and tangy). The sauce in the cucumber salad had a lot of chili oil and peppers though, so warning to those with sensitive tummies. The dumplings were good, but the Cucumber Salad stood out more. For the main dish, I had the Spicy & Tingly Beef Soup. The beef was very flavorful, and the noodles were thick. However, the broth was a bit on the lighter side, balances out the beef. It would have been nice to have extra condiments available to adjust the flavor to taste. This is a good spot for your spicy cravings. Parking is a bit packed but not impossible- you might need to park a bit further and walk over to the area.

Review is for the London Bus Burger, Louie Louie (soft-shelled crab) and onion rings! The Bureau 510 gets their burgers right: lightly seasoned, not overly handled so you can feel the wonderful texture along with some major juiciness. Also a big plus is their meat-to-bun ratio so you get a nice bite of burger with the sturdy yet soft bun. The Louie Louie looked amazing. My 2 friends ordered that and devoured. It was lightly battered, not greasy and a nice size. Onion rings were house-made and equally light with a beer batter. Delicious! Staff very welcoming, friendly and checked on us a couple of times. Menu has plenty of options to choose from. The Bureau 510 did a great job (has me craving more!) this visit so will definitely return to try items like the fish and chips, clam chowder and Chef Specials. Its rare I see these on the menu so I had to try. It was strong and delicious! So happy with my choice. For food, I had so much meat. The lamb chops to start were incredible. This was served with a little mozzarella + tomato salad with all of the balsamic glaze. Super yummy and perfectly medium rare. Next time, I can just have this on its own. Definitely a star. Next, I had the duck breast which sat on a bed of spinach risotto. Very delicious and also cooked perfectly. 1520 Park St Alameda, CA 94501…read more This is the Alameda Grill that's next to Alameda Bicycle at Park St & Webb Ave. Alameda Grill is probably the smallest restaurant in Alameda, and mainly serves up burgers and fries. (Not to be confused with the Alameda Cinema Grill). I was there on a Tuesday morning at about 10:50 am. I asked the lady if she was open yet, and she happily said "YES....c'mon in!" This place is very small. As soon as you walk in you'll be at the counter of the kitchen. There's no lobby or dining room. I just ordered a Cheeseburger and Fries. She asked if I wanted a double, and held up two frozen meat patties. I agreed to a double, and she started cooking. FYI- I was a fast food shift Mgr decades ago, and I'm familiar w/ cooking burgers. She laid the two patties on the flat grill, and put a large searing tool on top for 2-3 mins. Then she dropped the fries in the fry vat. I asked for a burger with everything. The food was ready pretty quick, and I was on my way. Free ketchup and napkins. OMG, the french fries were excellent! Crispy on the outside and tender soft on the inside. Fries have a limited holding time of 7-10 mins. After that they become limp and soft. Eat those fries HOT, you will enjoy them more. The Double Cheeseburger was okay. The meat patties were not fully caramelized to bring out the flavor. Needed another slice of cheese. Maybe more mayo and seasonings. But it's a good size, and it's freshly made. It's a good value for the price. They need more outside seating. Burgers and fries should be enjoyed right away.
