We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated pretty quickly upon walking in. We ordered Caesars, meatballs for the kiddo, a cheese thin crust, and a BYO thin crust with sausage/onion/pepp. We also grabbed some local brews too. There's something about their cornmeal crust I absolutely love. The pizza is light, crispy, and just a nice pie overall :) I didn't know they had lunch specials (personal deep dish or thin crust) and side mixed or Caesar until 3p. They also have a weekly happy hour from 3p-5:30p with cocktail/food/beer and wine discounts. Space is huge and super aesthetically pleasing. I believe the building was once an old bank now converted. Parking is tough around Park hehe, so leave room to nail a spot.

Met the hostess and were seated immediately. Place was small (about 10 tables) and quaint. Waiter approached us within 5 minutes and asked if we wanted drinks. We told him that we drink cabernet sauvignon and asked for his recommendation. He came back with two glasses of Montepulciano wine that was rich, bold and fruity. The waiter gave us ample time to enjoy our wine. When the waiter came back, we ordered a Caesar salad to share. My wife was admiring the pizza on the table next to us and ordered the same. Withing a couple of minutes we received our salad. It was a nice size enough to have a second helping. The romaine lettuce was crispy and fresh with parmesan cheese, crunchy croutons and a creamy Caesar dressing. Lets just say we cleaned our plates. Once we were done our pizza came and it was piping hot. It was a 14' pizza that had mozzarella, basil pepperoni and a nice crispy crust. I am a fan of New York pizza because it's thin and I can fold it in half to enjoy. This pizza did not disappoint nice chewy cheese, salty and oily pepperoni, fresh basil, chewy middle and crispy crush. My wife and I were hungry but could only finish two pieces each and brought the other four slices home. The waiter asked if we wanted dessert and we said we better be good but ordered two more glasses of wine. While we were enjoying our wine table next to us receive their dessert. I looked over and had to make a comment that you must be heaven because the tiramisu looked so good. The lady was so nice and cut a piece of her dessert and gave it to us to try. We tried denying it but she was persistent. Boy she was right creamy, soft spongy lady fingers coco and a sprinkle of expresso. After that we introduced ourselves and made new friends. Great ambiance, food, and service. We'll be back!

But I'm guessing they still have pizza ovens, because there's a really good pizza kitchen there. Groovy Island Pizza gets 5-stars for VALUE alone! I ordered a Mushroom & Sausage Medium pizza, added pepperoni and more mozzarella, and the price was still under $20! Of course the price adds up as you pile on the toppings. First, this is a virtual brand and not a ghost kitchen. This is simply a real business selling pizzas over delivery apps. For some reason, they're using this crazy name. I ordered a medium "Mushroom & Sausage" Pizza. Then I added Pepperoni and more Mozzarella Cheese. Price $18.95. That's a medium pizza with 4 toppings. It was hellya good! It had my basic requirement for a good pizza....a thick blanket of cheese. Crust was soft, but lightly crispy. Even with pepperoni and sausage, it was not overly salty. It was just a good pizza, at a fair price.

We searched for another restaurant and found Alameda Pizza. So happy we did! They had bigger pizza's and more food options. We ordered a XL pepperoni/ mushroom pizza and cheese ravioli added meatballs with pesto. Oh yeah, and a slice of cheese pizza for my toddler. DELICIOUS! Pizza crust was so soft! Toppings were perfect! Meatballs were super tasty! Everything was amazing! I rarely take pics of my food, but wish I took pics this time. We were all starving though. It looked like a masterpiece. We enjoyed everything so much, we ate it all. Most times we have leftovers. Not this time. To top it off, staff were super sweet. We felt welcomed. Great service is hard to get these days. He was standing by the door watching the parade and reluctantly came behind the register to help us. I asked if they sold pizza by the slice. Instead of being friendly or helpful, he answered in a cold, annoyed tone, explaining the starting price and that extra toppings would cost more. I said that was fine and asked how long it would take. He said 5-10 minutes. Since my son didn't want to wait, I politely told him we'd come back later and i said As we were walking out, I overheard the owner whisper to one of his employees, "He's just wasting my time." I turned around and said, "You're running a business. What do you expect?" He then rudely told me to get out. I've never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. We came in intending to buy food, but the owner's attitude made it clear he didn't want our business. Customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, this place completely missed the mark.
