Owner was yelling to staff that I was there to pick up and not one of the staff members acknowledged it or checked. Owner kept Noticing we were standing there and kept trying to get the staff members to finish our order and get us out of there. Again no one looked for slip or food. After waiting for 25 min the owner I think he's the owner anyway kept saying I was here for Pick up. Finally someone checked and the order had been sitting out for the entire time we were there. Got home. Food is absolutely cold. Pizza was completely burnt. Couldn't even eat the pizza . I had taken a bite and the pizza snapped from the burnt pizza underneath. I have been going to espressos my entire life over 30 years! I have never seen anything like this. The owner who is always great and is still amazing. I have nothing bad to say about him he's always so friendly and on top of things. Usually the older guys who work there are great! No complaints. As for the younger staff, very lost and have no idea what they are doing. The younger staff definitely needs training!!! They were extremely incompetent. Mind you I was not the only customer complaining while I was in there I saw atleast 3-4 very unhappy customers shaking their heads and whispering under there breath while walking away. This is unacceptable. It's not like we spent a few bucks we spent like $42 bucks on food we didn't even eat and food was cold and burnt. One of the cooks said as we were walking out "oh he's pissed" and we heard and my fiance yelled back " yeah I've been coming here for 40 years and have never had such terrible service." Which of course we were pissed waiting for Almost half hour and our order was sitting Out and not handed to us because no one cared to look for the slip or food even though the manger/ owner had made it very known we were there waiting.... I feel bad because I love this establishment and I love the main guy who works there because he's always upbeat and friendly and this has nothing to do with him because he tried his best to get these kids to grasp The concept that we were waiting and they weren't comprehending or something. Also normally the food is wonderful which is why I keep coming back but I've never seen such a mess. Hope this staff gets the extra training and time Management for this line of work because espressos won't be a favorite of many people In the area if not.

As this is Latinx heritage month, seems like a perfect time to finally check them out. This is a tiny little store front. Most of the building is taken up by kitchen and storage. There are 2 two-tops and 1 four-top table for dining-in. Tables are very nice and the area was clean. An open kitchen over looks the dining area. A cashier stand, where you order, is to the left of the entrance. Menu boards are located on the wall above the open kitchen. A cooler across from the cashier holds bottled soda, water and tea. The cashier was super personable and answered a couple of silly questions from me. (I always have questions. So many questions!) I had to try the empanadas of course and they offer several varieties. My SO got himself a pepperoni pizza. We both grabbed bottled soda. We had an opportunity to chat a little with the cook too who is also very nice. A parton who is clearly known to the staff came in and had a long, friendly chat with staff while we ate. Just before we left some high school students came in. This is absolutely a neighborhood spot. The pastry on my empanada is very good. Flakey, thin, holds together well. I would have preferred less pastry for the amount of filling. Most bites were air. The ground beef was seasoned well enough but I think I was looking for more spice and maybe a little heat. Still, it was enjoyable. The vegetable empanada was bell peppers, onions and mushrooms with a little bit of cheese. Same result. I was looking for more filling, spice and heat. Don't get me wrong. They are good. I did enjoy them. And for all I know, this is the way abuela makes them. Everyone has their own preferences. This is just me. Take it as you will. My SO enjoyed his pizza. That's all I got from him. Sorry I can't elaborate. This is a small store front right off a neighborhood. On street parking is free. You may have to walk a bit from your parking spot, but as mentioned, this is really a neighborhood spot the locals frequent. There does not appear to be a public restroom inside. I didn't ask. Staff were lovely. Food is good.

I ordered the cauliflower crust, and unfortunately the kitchen confused two of the pizzas. They had to send them back to be remade, which is not usually a big deal. However, on this particular day, it took about an hour and a half to get a small cauliflower crust pizza. We were told multiple times that our order was next, but we saw multiple other pizzas go out to other tables around us who got there after us. It still took about 45 minutes from the time it was supposed to have been remade to the time it actually came out. I was told multiple excuses, but I've worked in the industry, and this was exceptionally unfortunate. The manager never came over to us, but the bartender was quite apologetic. That's a heavy load to take on and he does a great job at it. Everything is super cheap here and taste great. If you're a student at Middlesex Community college like me. Let's face it, theres days when we're broke and need a place to grab a cheap quick lunch. This is definitely the spot. Pizza rolls: I love these things. He made them perfectly and you can tell he hand rolls them himself. And they're only a $1!! Double cheeseburger: BOMB! I'm so picky with burgers. I don't give a shit if it's messy looking, lets be real. If it tastes good, it's serving it's purpose. I'm super picky and customized it as I liked and he accommodated it. Thank you! Not many places do! Fries: perfectly crunchy. Not soft and soggy like most places. Maybe a little less seasoning. I know not a lot of people like spicy foods. But I enjoy it. Chicken Kabob Plate: my boyfriend and I split this because of how big it was. We ordered it with extra rice instead of the usual side of salad it comes with. The owner offered us either Indian or Spanish rice. We went with the Spanish and it tasted great, it even had vegetables in it. The chicken was nice and juicy with grilled peppers and onions. The rice and chicken had a nice kick to it. Not too spicy and just flavor. Chicken and Fries (not pictured): My boyfriend devoured this. The chicken is definitely not anything like crown fried or Jacqueline's chicken. The owner literally uses his own recipe. My boyfriend loved it and the chicken looked really fresh and juicy. He swallowed the thing before I even got a chance to take a picture of it lol. Please go visit guys! This little place has so much potential. It might seem a little stand off it by the looks of it but it's worth going in and trying it out The owner is so sweet, he even offered my boyfriend a free banana milkshake while he waited for the food to be done. Absolutely awful experience the other day. I've never felt so disrespected by a business in my life. The way I was treated was completely unacceptable, and I walked out furious. The customer service was beyond terrible with communication. Instead of treating customers with basic respect, the staff made the entire experience uncomfortable and embarrassing. There was constant yelling and chaos from the one worker who claimed to be there alone, and not to mention my friend and I watched him arrange his junk multiple times. He was rude and it didn't feel like he was interested in creating a welcoming environment. The food definitely didn't make up for it either. The prices are ridiculous for what you get, and the quality wasn't anywhere close to being worth the money. I've had far better pizza for a fraction of the cost. The restaurant itself didn't leave a good impression either. It felt run-down and poorly maintained, which only added to how unpleasant the visit was, and like I said before watching the staff touch his junk while working with food made it a lot worse. This place managed to fail on every level: customer service, atmosphere, and food. I won't be coming back, and I'd strongly encourage anyone considering eating here to spend their money somewhere that actually values its customers. MIND YOU: Not once did I vomit or show any signs of vomiting. You are just rude and beyond miserable. ‍‍‍ read more

My friend already left a review.... we came in last friday to get some pizza as it's hard for her to get out with her agoraphobia it was a small step in the right direction. we were looking on the menu online while seated because their in person menus don't have prices.. after looking i decided we would get a small pizza.. as i was getting up to go order, a man came out and looked at my friends bucket that she carries in case she gets anxious.. and told us that they were closed which isn't true because the sign said open and we called afterward and we were told we could come in as they were open. now my biggest concern. she left a poor review. He responded, shaming her for being agoraphobic and told her to "go vomit elsewhere" this is ableist and truly not okay on the owners behalf. yes she had a bucket INCASE she got anxious. I communicated to her multiple times that if she didn't feel well then we could leave immediately. she never even threw up or felt ill. do better . read more

Great pizzeria. Look, I'm not one of those guys who go spend their time posting restaurant reviews, or post away after eating someplace once. But Pizza Hazel earned this. I moved to Lowell 3 years ago and the ownership of PH has really impressed. Their menu is huge + great food. Umm, there's a reason their phone is always ringing and delivery drivers are racing in and out when I go to pick up. So get on the horn and order from them. My family owns a bakery and restaurant...so I at least have *some* concept of who does it right. Because PHazel is so busy, they turn over their ingredients at a very fast rate. That means everybody gets freshies. Only have a bit of coin to spend? Because PH is busy, they can easily afford to offer specials. Which is good for us. So, great menu and a staff that says hey when I drop in. For sure- Pizza Hazel. They really earned this review. read more

As far as we're concerned, the best pizza in the area. We now order our pizza only from Pizza Hazel, which is usually twice a month. The mozzarella sticks are also our favorite - from any restaurant anywhere we've ever been. Dessert choices could be a little wider, but what is offered is delicious! We have never had a bad meal here. We always order online and have our food delivered and have had no issues with that, either. You could get less expensive pizza elsewhere, but it wouldn't come close to the quality found here, so we feel it is worth the extra few dollars. read more
