Good mix of flavors. -- Cheesesteak: This has gotten even better over time, dazzling even when I come in with high expectations. The toasted house-made sesame seed roll is a great vessel. The ribeye steak has tremendous flavor and is cooked to make it melt-in-your-mouth tender. The (Cooper) sharp cheese is plentiful, silky, and blends perfectly with the beef to create a unified front of deliciousness. Optional onions are cooked down to make them soft and add some extra flavor to the experience. All around, the best cheesesteak in the business. And it travels well. -- Italian Coldcut Sub: High quality in both the ingredients and the construction. I can't say it's the best, but it's definitely one of the best. If you're traveling great distances to try Big Al's because of the recent buzz, the Italian is perfect for taking home for the next day. -- Fries: They give you a boat of them plus a ton more, all in a bag, à la Five Guys. Fries were very interesting. I think hand cut. Very potatoey. The outsides had a very pronounced crunch like tempura, and a little greasy. I don't think they were coated, but felt coated to the bite. Inside, extremely fluffy but more airy. El cheapo ketchup packets, unfortunately. I'm still not sure how I feel about these fries, but there's a lot to like. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: At the risk of sounding like a total suck-up, let me say that this is one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. Not just a great chocolate chip cookie for a pizza joint, but a great chocolate chip cookie, period. Imagine a crispy, doughy sand trap forming a perfect circle around a quicksand center of melty cookie dough that's almost caramel. The last three times I've had them, they've been warm. This has gone from occasional splurge to absolute must. Each bite was the same (in a good way!). The crispiness of the slice was consistent throughout each bite. We couldn't believe it. We also got complimentary the giant chocolate chip cookies to share which is now one of my favourite cookies! These came out freshly baked while we were still having the pizzas. I paused to try it while it was still warm. It was crispy on the outside and soft+gooey on the inside. We can't wait to be back to try the steak and cheese!

Expresso's is AMAZING! My hubby Nick and I go there all the time for our food, we live practically across the street. We bought this house in Nov 2008 and thought we'd try them. Their food was so fresh and perfectly cooked, they've been our pizza place ever since! We have since been friendly with the owner Ray and his family who have been amazing to us. I was very sick with Pancreatitis and couldn't eat anything unhealthy or I'd get violently sick. Expresso's was the ONLY place I could eat at because their food is so fresh and healthy but delicious! Not to mention they go to the store and get FRESH ingredients EVERY day! Wow... great pizza! Good quality cheese you can actually taste on the pizza! I ordered a large cheese with eggplant and it was delicious! Also, ordered a steak and cheese on their home made bread. Best pizza shop in greater Lowell.. In my opinion it takes 3 things to make a great pizza place.. Pizza, fries, and chicken fingers. Their pizza is Italian style.. Awesome! Their chicken fingers are homemade.. Hand battered.. Awesome! Their fries are classic fries.. Not those stupid coated batter dipped ones that every place seems to have now.. Awesome!
