Locals seem to love this place but I just can't bring myself to that point yet. I've done takeout and delivery, both yielding the same result. Their pizza is just OK. Now I am a self realized pizza snob since I grew up in Jersey. I take 100% responsibility for the fact that what I consider to be amazing pizza is not the same standard found in Massachusetts. So taking that into account this pizza is pretty good all things considered. What continues to baffle me is the pricing. How can I order two "large" pizzas (that anywhere in the world would be considered small or maybe a medium) and end up paying over $42? Yes they are "specialty" pizzas but tossing a couple of toppings onto a pizza and calling it specialty solely for the purpose of tripling the actual price of pizza is a little crazy. In Jersey I could order a large 4 topping pizza and still only pay $16 at the most. I just don't get it. Great pizza at this place, and you can now get thin crust! I usually go for either the pesto w/ feta, or the white chicken and broccoli. Though if you really want a heart-attack pizza, do the eggplant parm. It's deadly, but absolutely delicious! This is my go to place if I'm ever in the mood for 'za, and they never disappoint. During a remodel of our kitchen this past year I had D'Action on speed dial...so I have tried most of what they have on the menu The pizza is great, a tie in my book with Capri depending on the specialty, and if you are ordering pizza you have to get a side of wings - crispy and flavorful without being greasy or soggy. Also, the grinders are no joke. Everyone is always genuinely nice from the guy taking your order (I almost always order multiple modified specialty pizzas split on the same pie without complaint...) to the delivery man who shows up early at the door. Yes, Ive had better pizza and better wings - but not at the same spot and for ~$30 I can feed my whole family delicious food, have leftovers and never get off my couch. I love America read more

I really love Pizza d'Action. It's the only place we order delivery pizza now. Their tomato sauce is a little sweet, and they use delicious cheese! The best (to us) is the pepperoni/hamburg combo, but if you order bacon, there's like a pound of whole bacon on there! Very generous toppings. Good with some Frank's Red Hot on it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the consistent 1 hour wait time on delivery, no matter when you call. read more

Ordered 5 different pizzas from Pizza D'Action for my 6 year old daughter's birthday party. Never would have imagined I could find regular, yummy cheese pizza and gluten free, vegan, nut free pizza all at the same place! VEGAN REVIEW. Found this place while visiting the area and was pleasantly surprised by the many vegan options! I began my meal with their Vegan Chili. Very tasty with just the right amount of spicy. They also have "starters" including Loaded Fries with vegan chili and vegan cheese or Potato Skins with the same. There are several vegan grinders including Vegan Spicy Sausage (with grilled onion/pepper and tomato sauce), Eggplant, Black Bean Wrap, Avocado Wrap, and Grilled Veggie Wrap. And, of course, they have pizza with vegan cheese. I had the Veggie Vegan-Combo - a white pizza with sautéed pepper, caramelized onion, fresh mushroom, Kalamata olive, spinach, and breaded eggplant. It was scrumptious! Other vegan items included salads, spaghetti, vegan lasagna, Indian Korma, and their Vegan Assortment Platter. I ordered the Platter to carry-out and ate it later for dinner. There are different options for the Platter - mine included housemade grape leaves, black bean dip, quinoa salad, tabbouleh, and pita. Everything was fresh and delicious! Other Platter options were hummus, couscous salad, and falafel. They even have large housemade vegan cookies - oatmeal and oatmeal with vegan chocolate chips!
