I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got my chance. I got there around…read more2:00. It wasn't very busy, maybe two tables. Since I was alone, I just sat at the bar. It's a small restaurant in a shopping center very nicely decorated. My server Elmer greeted me right away with water and a menu. He explained that everything is homemade, even the desserts. The menu isn't huge, but it has a good variety across the board. I looked at the specials first l, I wish my wife had been with me because the salad special sounded great and we usually split one. The entrée specials also sounded really good. I was already thinking to myself I'd probably be back if this meal was solid. I usually order chicken parm when I go out for Italian, but I wanted to switch it up, so I went with the lasagna. Elmer told me I'd enjoy it and said the noodles and sauce were very good. Someone brought out bread with a garlic and oil mix. The bread was excellent crunchy outside, soft inside. The garlic and oil was good, but I'm more of a butter guy. I like a lot of butter on my bread, especially bread like that. When the lasagna came out, it looked amazing. The person who brought it asked if I wanted Parmesan cheese. I said no thanks I don't like changing the flavor unless I taste it first and feel like it needs it. First bite.....Excellent. The sauce had a lot of flavor, the noodles were tender, and there were a lot of layers had to be six or seven. Not like some places where you get three or four and mostly cheese. I ate the whole thing and used the bread to clean the plate. Elmer and the other servers kept checking in to see if I needed anything. I like seeing that kind of teamwork where everyone helps out, not just their own tables. Makes for a better experience and you're never waiting around if you need something. When I finished, Elmer asked if I wanted some of the "apple cobber." Funny thing -- when I first looked at the dessert menu, I noticed that typo and wondered if that was really the name. I asked him about it and he said it was a mistake and hadn't even noticed. I was surprised no one caught it before. I asked for the cobbler to go, but he actually recommended the tiramisu instead, so I took his suggestion. Later that evening I tried it and it was superb. Even my wife, who doesn't like coffee, liked the bite I gave her. While we were talking, Elmer gave me a sample of their espresso martini. I'm not big on cold coffee drinks, but it was actually pretty good. Definitely something I'd order there. Overall, one of the best Italian meals and service I've had and I'll definitely be back. I just wish it was closer to home if they opened up in Prince Frederick in Calvert County, I think they'd do great. Right now all we really have is Ledos Pizza

It's consistently tasty and well-seasoned, though a few times there were a few scales left on the skin. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. The vegetable side dishes tasted very fresh and complemented the meal nicely. And surprisingly, the mushroom risotto was actually really good, coming from someone who isn't usually a fan of mushrooms. Our son is a fan of noodles and enjoys the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. We've had the food delivered or we picked it up.

HMU and join me ... LMK. Pics of tonight's menu uploaded. Awesome presentation for ALL courses. Two thumbs up. EXCELLENT service. ALL three servers were personable, attentive and engaging. LOVED the Calabrian Shrimp Skewer ... the chili and lemon butter sauce was delish. LOVED the Blackberry Whipped Ricotta and the Honey Goat Cheese Sacchetti ... TMI butttt my lactose intolerance prevents me from over indulging. BUMMER. Much respect for the Chicken Toscana ... flavorful and juicy. I thought the sausage/lentil risotto was a tad overcooked but not a deal breaker. Would most def order again. I'm not a big dessert person (and you already know I had to skip the Italian Cannoli Sundae b/c of the ice cream) but, again, KUDOS on the presentation with the crushed pistachios and chocolate curl which was more like a chocolate straw. As for the wines: *LOVED the Prosecco (always my fav along with a Sauvignon Blanc) *Respect the Moscato (especially after learning Taraji P. Henson collaborates with the Seven Daughters brand) *Respect the Pinot Grigio (but, just to repeat, I prefer Prosecco and Sauvignon Blanc) *I am personally NOT a fan of red wine ... especially Red Blends but I respect the McBride Sisters brand (#BlackGirlMagic) and would most def use it in a future sangria. Looking forward to hearing YOUR opinion about a Carrabba's Wine Dinner. When you go, tell them you saw it in Yelp.

Not too many people in my circle agree with me but I am a fan of Olive Garden. I've been…read moredisappointed but I have NEVER had a "bad" experience. Thurs., 2/26/26, was no exception. Just wanted carryout because we were busy with CarMax Brandywine Crossing and the drive wiped us out so I knew cooking was not happening this evening! Had my heart set on the braised beef tortellini ... which they did NOT have! Ultimate disappointment because that was the only reason why I drove an extra 15 minutes past Carmax to go to Olive Garden! Anyways, ended up ordering chicken/shrimp carbonara and chicken/shrimp Alfredo for the hubs and myself. As I already mentioned, I'm a fan of Olive Garden so both entrées were delicious and satisfying and HUGE! They both came with breadsticks and a huge side salad. We both had ample leftovers. I didn't even touch my salad so I'm praying it lasts for an additional day because that's gonna be my lunch tomorrow. This location is a little dated and cluttered but not a deal breaker. The bartender and the host/server(?) at the take out counter were engaging, pleasant, helpful and professional. #Noteworthy Sat at the bar to wait for my order and had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with another patron. She enjoyed a glass of the watermelon and berry sangria (which she raved about). I had a glass of their house, Starborough Sauvignon Blanc, which I enjoyed sooo much ... I stopped and bought two more bottles. It's now Friday evening as I'm finishing this review and yessss, I am enjoying another glass. We listen and we don't judge. LOL. As a matter of fact, I was going to do a separate review of this New Zealand wine but let me just mention now, the description on their website is accurate. In summary: balanced, bright, crisp, smooth. I love citrusy wine but what sold me was the notes of tropical passionfruit, guava, and kiwi on top of the lemongrass, grapefruit and Meyer lemon blend. IMHO ... one of the better house (#cheap #inexpensive) Sauvignon Blancs I've had. Don't wanna single out any specific wine but definitely better than other house brands at other chain/franchise restaurants. Looking forward to hearing YOUR opinion about your entrees or drink selections. When you go, tell them you saw it on Yelp.

My family of four arrived around 8:45 PM, fully aware the restaurant closed at 10, so we made sure to order, eat, and move along quickly and respectfully. We were seated in Tyrone's section. He greeted us initially, brought our drinks, and took our order, but after that he barely checked on us at all. I had to flag him down just to ask for a refill on my soup, and by the time it finally came out, a young lady brought it to us. We were already eating our entrees. I asked her for a container, which she never came back with. We were never offered drink refills, soup refills, salad refills, or even a simple check-in to see if we needed anything. What made the situation worse was that we could clearly see him giving attentive service to the table beside us, checking on them multiple times throughout the evening while completely ignoring ours. When we asked for boxes, he grabbed some from another table behind him and tossed them onto our table in a very careless and rude manner. My son politely asked if smoothies came with refills, and instead of responding to him directly, Tyrone just stared at him until I looked back at him, then he finally said, "Oh no, not on those." By the end of the meal, I finally asked if there was an issue because his attitude toward us felt extremely short and dismissive the entire night. This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had at Olive Garden, which is unfortunate because I usually enjoy coming here with my family. Poor customer service can completely ruin what should have been a nice family dinner. The restaurant was pretty empty, quiet and in the mists of their evening clean up by the end of our visit.
