Decided to try this place out even tho our neighbors said otherwise. The pizzas looked picture perfect! They were cooked perfectly. The crust was hand tossed and thin enough to get crispy and cooked in a oven that charred the crust perfectly. We ordered a meat lovers pizza and a chicken bacon ranch pizza. Coming from 2 chunky guys, we needed more toppings (at least make it to the edges of the crust) and less crust for our pizza (crust was easily 1/3 of the bites). Especially at the price point, everything should look professionally done and taste excellent. It felt very skimped for being their signature pies. Tbh for being a 10in pizza priced at 15$ each, we would have rather grabbed a frozen pizza. The red sauce was lacking flavor, but you could actually taste alot of herbs from the white (ranch?) sauce. Again all the toppings seemed to gravitate towards the middle of the pizza as clearly seen in the pictures below. There was a line (around 8 different people) picking up but 4 employees. It's been a while since I've posted a review and right up to today and maybe one other time, we've raved and loved the pizza from here. I'm not sure we will be ordering again. Ordering: Always nice and smooth online and pick up is with 20mins. Ambiance: Very cozy and relaxed feeling. Tables are social distanced and everyone is wearing a mask. Customer Service: Everyone is always super friendly ! I gave them Two stars because the young men taking care of us was very apologetic and really tried to make things right. Pizza itself: Pizza looked great but it looked great last time as well. This is the second time we have ordered a pizza and got home to take a bite of pure raw dough. The last time this happened, because we love this place and are all about supporting local businesses, we put it back in the oven at home and enjoyed it. I still kept the issue in the back of my mind for next time. Rewind to today and thankfully we live 5 mins from the location because when we arrived home and got comfy, bam, mouth full of raw dough again. Very disappointing because we thought, "there's no way this would happen twice in a row". So, we got back in our car and returned the pizza. They were very apologetic but you could definitely tell this seems to be an ongoing issue. We went back into our car to wait on a new pizza and guess what, we checked it before leaving and RAW though again. At this point, we just decided to get our money back and go some place else. There was a young lady at the front who yelled "you're out of luck today" not sure if that was suppose to be funny, but not the right time for jokes. We ended up at subways. I'm all about second chances because we all make mistakes but hmmm it's one , I'm not sure I'll be going back to. I've eaten at OBO pizza twice already and both times, I was very satisfied! Every time I am near the naval bases, this has been the go-to and I am surprised by the quality of the pizza. It's freaking good for a small house-Shack like location outside of a naval base IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. I always order the Hawaiian pizza and it never fails to make my hungry belly happy :) When you order your pizza, you wait a couple minutes and it's ready. Oh by the way, they cook the pizzas in the brick over, that's freakin awesome. Who knew a small house turned into a pizzeria has a brick over inside?! Then there is a little table next to the door where condiments are placed as well as utensils and plates. So you take whatever you need (Parmesan cheese, pepper flakes, garlic powder) then you can sit down and eat pizza. There is also outdoor seating which I enjoy a lot. No Thanks! I like to support local businesses but I think I am done supporting this one. Forget the fact that the County requirements for wearing masks were not being followed or enforced. At no point was I confident that there was anyone responsible running the place. It felt like mom and dad left the kids alone for the day and the kids wanted to try running a pizza restaurant. I just moved to Indian Head recently, I've had OBO previously at the Smallwood location in Waldorf with no complaints. I've had lunch here twice, both times a personal pizza with a Gyro and it was delicious! The pizza was cooked perfectly, the first time the pizza was cooked a little more than the second time. The second time it was much more gooey. Both times I ordered via phone order and my order was taken accurately and politely, my food was ready within the estimated time provided. The pizza is comes in one style that is hand tossed, the sauce is robust and has a balance of sweet and salty. The crust is flaky and has a nice bit to it. Based on the five star reviews and very convenient location I gave this place a try and I can say I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I entered I was greeted by the staff who was eager to serve. I was impressed by the menu, offering unique pizzas you can't get at just any pizza joint. I ordered The Greek Pizza which is a brick oven pizza with kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, gyro meat, baby spinach, feta cheese, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. The pizza was full of flavor and the ingredients were very fresh. The price was a bit high for a personal pizza but presume the value justifies the cost. They have some of the best brick oven pizza in the area. The customer service is always great. The food is always delicious. There are several varieties of pizzas, salads, sandwiches and wings. Me and my husband love eating here. The pizza is ALWAYS cooked just right and fresh! The buffalo chicken is good and they don't skimp you on the chicken part. The 411: this is a small, inviting restaurant that serves pizzas cooked in a brick style oven. Everything about the restaurant is great...except for the steep prices. The service has always been kind to me. Order at the front counter or call in ahead of time l. This place has a huge drawing from Indian head naval base during lunch hours. Be advised when considering for lunch. The pizza itself is pretty good! Sauce is not too sweet and their other toppings are really fresh, including their mushrooms. My only gripe is that their pepperoni appears to be pre-sliced and doesn't curl up like the better pepperoni I've had in other restaurants. They also have a pretty meh salad bar if you want a salad. Their buffalo wings are fried and on the smaller side. Still really yummy. Again, the price is steep for all menu items, including the wings. My favorite specialty pizzas are the dyonesius (pardon my spelling), and the Mediterranean. Try those, or make your own pizza combo. This option is the most expensive, as toppings are $2 each. The crust is on the thinner side considering the area. It's also less crispy and more stretchy dough consistency. It does, however, get a good flavor from the brick style oven. Bottom line: this is a very nice option for pizza in the Indian head area. Not really worth the price, but they have the monopoly on decent pizza in the area. I think you'll like it!
