They're always so friendly and speedy at this location and my sandwiches are usually made on point, with quality ingredients. Today when I popped in to grab a couple sandwiches, was my first time needing to use their ladies room which was super clean and well stocked as is typically the case for their front counter, prep line, and dining area. The employees were also kind enough to let me replenish my daughter's sippy cup of ice water ahead of the soccer game we were headed to on a hot afternoon. I came into the building yesterday and noticed a female worker yelling, cussing, and displaying very unprofessional behavior toward her coworkers. I come in, and she is using vulgar language such as the N-word. I left and found her use of language and overall behavior distasteful and disrespectful. By far the worst Jersey Mike's I've been to solely because of the poor customer service. Immediately upon arrival I was met with someone who clearly didn't want to speak with customers. I made a joke about my own name to lighten things up and nothing. I wait for my order and I thought it was wrong by the way the bag felt when the guy on the grill handed it to me. I went to my car where my passenger opened it up and said it was wrong. I go back in and the nicest person helped me but the initial guy snapped at me. I wasn't ugly to any of these people and I am thankful for the one person who was kind to me but I'll be going to other locations in the area to avoid Mr. Grumpy. I ordered two Giant Steak and Cheese subs with everything but pickles on White bread and Rosemarie Bread. This time the sandwich was a little sloppy and not wrap tight. My bread need to be toasted a little more as well. The young lady who took my order was polite and respect but the cashier was moving to quick and rushing and never gave me my receipts and confirm if my order was correct. I've had a few Jersey Mike's in my time, but only once at the one off Crain HW. Wife was hangry, so I suggested JM since she had never eaten their food. She ordered the 6" Famous Philly cheesesteak; I ordered the giant Big Kahuna S/C sub. Both subs have the standard onions, peppers, and white cheese poured over the meat. Mine also had Jalapeños and mushrooms. Also got the chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. I ordered pick-up, got to the shop (ambiance was normal) and picked it up. My only issue is that no one greeted me or even asked me if I was picking up, and to provide proof that I was the customer who had ordered the food. In other words, I just walked in, grabbed the bag, and walked back out of the shop.....No questions asked! I'm very surprised that theft is not a common issue when anybody can just walk in and grab a bag without being challenged by employees. In this day and age, it should be a requirement to provide proof. Minor thing right now, but time will tell if it may become a major issue. (Not just JM, but other places providing pick-up service.) In terms of our subs, the taste was great to me. Very filling. Wife was "meh" about hers. She'll try another type of sub next time. Dessert is worth forking over a few more bucks, too. Because one of the females was just swinging her blonde hair while prepping the sandwich's that I ordered and also over the meat area anywho she needs a NET that's disgusting . Service is just about the worst. Scratch that, the worst of any Jersey Mike's subs. Just who is in charge of this place? It's like the animals running the circus. Place is dirty and unwelcoming. This deserves 0 stars. Employees are just rude and incompetent. They need the right type of management to get this place in order. I've had Jersey Mike's subs in La Plata and everything was delicious and perfect. This store everyone looks like dears in the headlights. They seem confused about how to make the sandwiches. How to not have your customer's bread slide across that table even asking them not to. But most importantly I got my sandwich home and the restaurant was close and I was frustrated. When I opened that sandwich the bread was so hard that when I threw it at my door to see the level of hardness, all I heard was a slam. The sandwich unedible The problem is they leave the bread out uncovered. I will never visit this location again ever. And I didn't have dinner last night. Who wants to cook during Thanksgiving. The new location in Waldorf is horrible. I tried it twice both times the sandwiches were a mess. I will drive to laplata from now on. There sandwiches are good and they don't skimp on the meat or the topping. Do yourself a favor and skip the Waldorf location. They don't make good sandwiches and what you get is not worth what you pay for it. read more

EB R. is spot on. I've been to this location on two occasions. Both were awful. I ordered a Sub with light mayo and vinegar and oil. I didn't receive the sandwich I ordered and called the location. The female my wife talked to was rude and inconsiderate. The person then said, " the vinegar and oil may have fallen off the sandwich"? The sandwich had bread and cold-cuts very thinly sliced. No mayo; no vinegar and oil; no lettuce; no tomato; no onions absolutely nothing. The person on the phone said you ordered the sandwich that way. I believe they are driving customers away for some odd reason. Going to this location is very risky. The workers are awful and lack the simplest customer service skills. I will go to the La Plata location from now on. Never had an issue with the La Plata location just Excellent service and Great Subs. The workers at this location cannot be this incompetent. If I could give a half star, I would. I usually try to give new businesses a second chance if my first visit did not go well. However, I gave this location three different chances, but none of them were positive. This location is fairly new, so I chalked the service and amount of service time the first visit up to the location being new. The second visit was HORRIBLE. The entire time customers were waiting in line, one of the employees was complaining about how they didn't pay him enough to be doing everything he was doing. He was loud and complained THE ENTIRE TIME. Another employee that was at the register didn't help out even though he saw the sandwiches were backed up. He said he didn't know what to do. There were two employees flustered because they were literally doing everything. My third visit was 2 days ago, and against my better judgment, I decided to stop there because I wanted a sandwich. There were 5 employees behind the counter and the line was at a standstill. One employee was commenting how she wished the employee on the register was old enough to slice meat, and that another employee was old enough but he didn't want to. The employee she referenced that "didn't want to" was the same employee from before that was negative and complaining he did get paid enough. The employee that was slicing the meat said she had been slicing meat all morning and that it wasn't helping her tennis elbow. The lettuce was not bad but it definitely didnt look fresh. It looked like maybe they wrapped up the lettuce from the previous night. I feel like it took me forever to get my sandwich and there were only 3 people in front of me getting single sandwiches. When I finally got to the point of my sandwich being wrapped, the employees put it in a bag on her side of the register and began talking to another employee. She never handed me my order even though my husband already paid. He had to interrupt her and ask if the sandwich in the bag by her was wine. She looked confused before confirming, he reached over and grabbed the bag with my order. I will NEVER return to this Jersey Mike's again. The environment is too negative because of some of the employees, and customers should not hear about issues the employees are having. It seems like management needs to retrain employees because the service time is way too long, and they just opened so how are there personnel issues already?
