    Chicken Philly
    Tonia K.

Was nearby for shopping and stopped in to pick up a quick lunch. It was a smooth ordering process and the cashier was patient in answering questions. It was around midday lunch rush, but I thought prep time was reasonable. We had Chicken Philly + Korean BBQ wings. The food was good and I'd recommend it as an option if you're in the area.

Was angry that I had hair in my food. Then I tried to call but the phone was busy all the way to the store closed. The most disturbing thing ever.

Cheesesteaks are one of the things that I try to stay away from when it comes to giving recommendations. Like everything else, everyone has their own opinions but the debate over a "good cheesesteak" is one for the books. All that being said, Charleys NEVER lets me down. Although it was a limited time offering I was able to get a GREAT Philly "clone" called the "Old School" that just had grilled onions and Wiz on it --- it was PERFECT. If you are a person that likes a cheesesteak dressed up with a bunch of toppings they have that too. With the decline of St. Charles mall I am glad to see that Charleys opened a location right off 301.

    Hair from fries

First, love the food and happy this location opened. Would have given 5 stars but there is a problem that I hate to say I have now experienced twice. It's time to require your employees to wear their hair up or covered, as this is the second time I have found hair in my food. The first time was in my chicken cheesesteak and this time in my fries. Nothing worse than having your mouth ready and then to have to toss food you paid for. The first time I just said, forget it sure it was a one time thing and it was late. But for the second time for lunch I have to say something. I have made several purchases since you opened and am now thinking I'll find a different favorite spot. Can't be grossed out everytime I eat or wasting money. Before anyone says maybe this is my hair...sorry I'm a truly curly girl. Do better Charley's. Hygiene is everything

I purchased the CHICKEN CALIFORNIA and there was a piece of plastic in my husband's sandwich. So disappointed and so disgusted.

Between…read moremissing the days or times he was in the shopping center in Waldorf (the one with the Sprouts), long lines, and being out of meat and/or specific toppings, I just kept missing it! But I finally made it! I ordered a chicken Philly with onions, sweet peppers, and mayo. I've tried a Philly cheesesteak in Philadelphia several times before and wanted to see how this compared. The portion size was huge. Definitely enough for two meals. The meat was also thoroughly seasoned, but a little dry. Not a lot of cheese, which was disappointing. I was looking for the ooey gooey cheesy cheesesteak that I've seen on tv and food shows so many times before. This wasn't it. But it wasn't bad. Be prepared for long lines and long wait times. I really like the pager system he has, which allows you to wait in your car until your food is ready. He also has a variety of toppings including mayo, mustard, ketchup, onions, sweet peppers, mushrooms and more. I'd go back, but next time I would like to try the water ice. I was torn between giving 3 or 4 stars and decided to go with 4 due to the large portion size and taste of the food. I think it makes a difference if you don't have a reference point for Philly cheesesteaks. Without comparing it to what I tried before it was pretty good.

I got the Beyond burger and let me tell you... IT WAS HUGE! So fresh with all the toppings and be prepared it takes a while to make but worth every minute of wait (to the point I thought mine wasn't being made LOL). I got mine with onion rings and let me say i can't wait to get those again! I also added the dipping sauce to try since why not?! My family got the BLT, steak && cheese sub, and shrimp basket. Everyone CRUSHED! They don't skimp on the fries w each meal either. You are going to be full. Cute 'I Love Lucy' themed spot with the can in the parking lot. I wish i could special request tuna because i know it'd be amazing! THANK YOU NYID

The Castellano had a crisped pile of gorgeous beef, with crispy fries, and super fresh veggies (basically a cheeseburger on a sub). My husband ordered this one, so I didn't taste it personally but he absolutely LOVED it. The Thommy, The Three Fingers is a chopped cheese. It's, by god, the best I've ever had in my life. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. Not as special, perhaps from the Cysco truck (iykyk), but I still bought it and scarfed it down. Strawberry topping was def the average canned-strawberry topping (but I personally love that). I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming. They have tons of Italian memorabilia all over the walls including giant GodFather posters, taxi plates and more. Today was my first time inside, but I've had my husband go pick up food several times on the way home. I cannot live without one of these subs AT MINIMUM once a month.

I tried a cheesesteak (with mayo and grilled onions), a hotdog (with bbq sauce and grilled onions) and some onion rings. The cheesesteak was very bland. It lacked seasoning, and they put so little mayo on it that it seemed like just eating steak and bread. I had to add some pepper and sauce at home to add some flavor to it and make it more enjoyable. The hot dog was better from a sauce perspective, but the meat itself was just ok. I had hoped they had something special about their hotdogs, but it seemed to me it could have easily been something I picked up at the local supermarket. Solid, but not something I would order again. The onion rings were good, and the establishment was clean and inviting. I may go back to try their charburgers, as those seem to be a specialty. Hopefully it will be better than the meh meal I had today.
