I've been waiting to try this place for months because I had heard so much about it. Between missing the days or times he was in the shopping center in Waldorf (the one with the Sprouts), long lines, and being out of meat and/or specific toppings, I just kept missing it! But I finally made it! I ordered a chicken Philly with onions, sweet peppers, and mayo. I've tried a Philly cheesesteak in Philadelphia several times before and wanted to see how this compared. The portion size was huge. Definitely enough for two meals. The meat was also thoroughly seasoned, but a little dry. Not a lot of cheese, which was disappointing. I was looking for the ooey gooey cheesy cheesesteak that I've seen on tv and food shows so many times before. This wasn't it. But it wasn't bad. Be prepared for long lines and long wait times. I really like the pager system he has, which allows you to wait in your car until your food is ready. He also has a variety of toppings including mayo, mustard, ketchup, onions, sweet peppers, mushrooms and more. I'd go back, but next time I would like to try the water ice. I was torn between giving 3 or 4 stars and decided to go with 4 due to the large portion size and taste of the food. ThatPhilly Spot is a small food truck that offers Philly cheesesteaks, chicken steaks, as well as Philadelphia water ice. I ordered: +a Philly Cheesesteak - you can choose from a topping list, but I opted only for mayo and the fried onions; for cheese, you have American or provolone, which I chose American The sub was generously filled, and the meat was seasoned perfectly! The bread was soft and held the fillings well. Definitely enough to share between two people, because the amount of meat can definitely create another sub or two! You can't miss this red truck, as it's part of the Pop-Up & Grow weekend vendor market on weekends in the Waldorf area. Look for the large standing banners! Staff is friendly and welcoming, and our order was made to order, taking about 15 minutes or so. I heard good things about their cheesesteak and water ice so I had to try them. I follow them on IG to know where they will be. It's a small red food truck that can't be missed. I found them in the parking lot outside of the Pop Up & Grow in Waldorf, MD. Parking is plentiful. You can order and wait outside or time your wait accordingly and wait in your car/walk around. Service was friendly. I went on a rainy day so my food took about 15 or 20 minutes. Food is made fresh. I ordered a few sandwiches- chicken and steak & cheese and a few flavors of water ice. The subs are a good size and well seasoned. Chicken looked and tastes like chopped up chicken breast which is the way I like my meat. The water ice was fine. I liked the melon ball best. It's not to sweet and doesn't have a lot of flavor but I still enjoyed it the most. The family enjoyed the mango most. read more

I heard from a friend that it was some good food trucks in Waldorf, so me being a foodie wanted to go see. Stumbled up on this spot and never knew the difference between Italian ice and water ice. First time trying it, and now I am a fan. It's thicker than Italian ice, almost like sherbert, but I hate sherbert and love this. I think it's my new favorite. This is the best frozen treat I've even had! I'm vegan so traditional ice cream is a no go for me but this is a wonderful alternative.

RUN, don't walk to THAT PHILLY SPOT food truck!! The Mister and I had a taste for a cheesesteak or steak n cheese, depending on where you're from. Did a Google search and THAT PHILLY SPOT appeared. I checked out their IG page and read the Yelp reviews. The Mister called to confirm their location and off we went! Today, April 13, 2024, the food truck was located in the parking lot adjacent CAVA. There was not a line, the Mister ordered and we received a buzzer that would notify us when our order was ready. It was a little windy today, so I remained in the car and the Mister stayed at the truck chattin' it up with the owner Desmond. Order: Chicken philly with fried onions, mushrooms and ketchup; Authentic philly cheesesteak with everything, minus jalapenos (mayo, ketchup, mustard, fried onions, mushrooms, sweet peppers, banana peppers). Extra cheese, which we did not get is $1 extra. Everything cooked to order. Order up! Again, RUN do not walk to THAT PHILLY SPOT! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! The Mister and I decided to return home and indulge, rather than eat in the car. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! After a 35 minute ride home, including a stop at Shoppers to get doughnuts , our meals were still very warm and did not need heating. I DEVOURED my sandwich and the fries - no crumb left behind! Water ice hands down is amazing. Perfect non dairy alternative to ice cream. He offers a lot of fruity flavors. I've also had their cheese steaks. They're extremely meaty seasoned well, and made to order. Lots of options for toppings but I keep it simple. Cheesesteaks are definitely big enough to split between two ppl. Owner is very friendly. They're usually at Pop up & Grow but follow them on ig or facebook to know where they'll be. One of my fav food trucks. read more

The water ice was what allowed me to give the 4star review. I had cherry and it was really good. However the steak and cheese and the chicken cheese steak was okay. It was seasoned well, however not enough cheese. I ordered 4 subs. I had 3 steak and cheeses and one chicken cheese steak. YOu could hardly taste the cheese!!!! I had to add more when I arrived home. For the 15 dollar sub you should have enough cheese period! I spent over 70bucks and probably won't go back for their subs but will go back for the water ice, in the summer. read more
