Turkey Sausage with Egg Sandwich with Jelly.

Man, you all have to get someone else to answer the phone. One woman had a very thick accent and grew impatient because I couldn't understand her. I asked her the ticket number and total then she just hung up after saying thank you. In my experience, the shittier the experience, the better the food. You cannot sit down in this restaurant. It's only for pick up, you MUST call ahead, and the ambiance is the equivalent of any hole-in-the walk place that doesn't really care for the look because their food speaks for itself. The sandwich itself was cool. Considering the total was 11.90 for two of these, it's not bad. One sandwich can be a cool snack, but two of these and a half and half.. you're set. Sandwich. - 7/10. Couldn't been more flavorful? Egg was pretty thin. Maybe eggs a la Carte lol

I've been going here for years & their breakfast is always EXCEPTIONAL. After many years I finally tried their steak breakfast platter and omg the steak was so juicy and good. Eggs with cheese always a go! & then home fries wooo lord!

Ordering was quite easy. Just call place your order. They give you a number 20 minutes later pick up and pay. The staff was super friendly. My issue with this restaurant was the food lacked flavor. Everything lacked flavor. The grits I had butter floating on the top. Whew Chyle! I almost thought I had Covid. I'm willing to try this place again and hopefully the food is worth the time and drive. W

I love this lo-key spot! Discovered it a while back and now this is my Sat/Sun morning spot! Food is good! Service is good! Only thing I will say is that the pricing has gone up a lil but I understand because so has inflation!

Salmon cakes scramble eggs and grits the worst ever

The worst ever the salmon cake was so bland it taste like it was just put together straight out the can. The grits was just horrible one piece of cheese no salt and pepper couldn't taste the butter the eggs was OK and the toast was the best... I should've just took drove and went to DC deli... Will not be returning...

I wanted to go to Pjs as an alternative to Starbucks but I can no longer. They are way too expensive. I also don't understand how they operate their drive through. You have to ask for everything. Forks, napkins, jelly, butter. I got a bagel which says it comes with cream cheese on the menu, I had to ask for the cream cheese and knife... & this has been several employees by the way. They all do it. Another time I got a biscuit with jelly. I had to ask 3 different questions thinking the server would get it. Can I have jelly...? received the jelly with no knife. Can I have a knife...? Received the knife with no napkins. Can I have napkins...? Any normal coffee shop gives you all of those things with a bag! They don't even give you bags! I spent $25 on a bagel, 1 medium chai latte, 1 medium caramel coffee, and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, on top of that I had to ask for utensils and napkins. That was my last time going there. I go to a coffee shop to spend $7 max for a coffee and a treat, Pjs is not that place. They either think they're better quality than what they are or taking advantage of people. Either way I want no part of it anymore.

From the moment we walked in, we had a joyful and welcoming experience. Two gentlemen greeted us warmly, explained what PJ's is, walked us through the menu, and made us feel genuinely excited to be there. One of them mentioned it was his first day, and he still did an amazing job. The other gentleman light-skinned, with curly hair and glasses was also very pleasant and professional. We both ordered the Southern Pecan latte. I ordered mine iced with almond milk, and it was absolutely delicious, smooth, flavorful, and honestly tasted even better iced. My sister ordered the hot version, which just wasn't her cup of tea, likely due to the difference in temperature and flavor profile. She politely asked if it could be remade as an iced drink. Unfortunately, this is where the experience shifted. The employee who assisted her, Brittany, was very unwelcoming and unpleasant. There was no acknowledgment or explanation, she simply told my sister to leave the drink on the counter. After waiting about 10 minutes, we noticed the remade drink had been sitting on the counter with no name called, no signal, and no attempt to get our attention, even though there were only four customers in the store. I was seated with a clear view of the counter and still received no indication that the drink was ready. That interaction left a bad taste in our mouths as we exited the establishment. Front-of-house staff truly set the tone, and unfortunately, her energy did not reflect the warmth shown by the rest of the team. Overall, the coffee quality, atmosphere, and service from the two gentlemen were great, and we would absolutely return for their positive energy and hospitality. For reference, my order was placed under the name "Love" if management would like to review the transaction. Everything was great besides that one interaction.

First Fridays are clearly a big deal there because the place was packed, the Gogo band was good, and the atmosphere was fun. I ended up sitting at the bar instead of getting a table and ordered a drink for myself, a drink for my cousin, and some shrimp. The food and drinks were actually good, so I can definitely see why people like coming here. What frustrated me was the pricing and gratuity situation. After looking at the menu, I saw it mentioned a 20% gratuity for parties of four or more, so I didn't think that applied to me since I was sitting at the bar with no table. I even asked the waitress if I could order food at the bar and she said yes, but nobody explained there would still be an automatic gratuity added. The drinks were $12 each and the bang bang shrimp were $13, so I was confused when my total came out to almost $50 and not realizing I added additional to the tip. I had to ask for the receipt multiple times before I finally saw the gratuity charge unbeknownst to me. I think the restaurant/menu needs to be a lot more upfront and clear about when gratuity is automatically added... and that's whether it's for First Fridays, live bands, bar service, or anything else. Being surprised by service fees, automatic gratuity or any hidden fee not clearly mentioned, for me, can leave a bad impression even when the food and atmosphere are good. As a small business, there are already stereotypes and complaints people make about hidden fees and pricing, and situations like this unfortunately don't help that narrative. With that said, I still plan to come back because I genuinely enjoyed the music, food, and overall vibe. I just wish the pricing and gratuity policies were communicated more clearly from the beginning... especially in this economy!

By the time it arrived, the celebration was already over, so that was a waste. The cake itself was honestly embarrassing. It came damaged and smeared. So I took it upon myself to stop by & get some cookies for myself and my parents before I departed for IL a few weeks ago. The ever so popular cookie flavor there is the prized Snickerdoodle cookies. So, of course, I took it upon myself to order a few. I ordered about 8 cookies for $5 or $10 (apparently, they do not allow ordering by the half dozen nor dozen, but by the eights. Such as 8, 16, etc ). I was a bit judgy & hesitant because the cookies were almost razor thin, and I was used to thicker, regular sized cookies. But as soon as I took a bite, I was shook haha they were so moist, soft, and delightful. Crunchy exterior but the right amount of crunch that it doesn't take away from the softness/moisture. The right amount of sugar and cinnamon. I think what makes this different from other Snickerdoodle cookies is perhaps the thinness and (I THINK, I could be wrong) the possible shortening base. They were so good, I decided not to be selfish and go back in to order my parents some to try I will say since it's been a while since I've been to Iverson Cookies, I got a bit lost because I could not find an entrance point (I'll be honest: I forgot haha ). The entrance point is between Mama Lucia and Chipotle. If you have bad eye vision like me, you'll have to walk up closer to notice. On Yelp and the physical establishment, it's listed as "The Great Cookie." On Google Maps, it's listed as Iverson Cookies. There's plenty of parking. The best way to get there is to drive or Uber. I am unsure if one can Metro there.
