(Not in a mean way, it just never occurred to me). Nevertheless, I was like I want this to go directly to YOU! He's so awesome, if he sees this, you know who you are! I love cold stone ice cream. It is a fun experience. When you go to a location that offers that experience. Today, I asked for two like it sized ice creams. I was given one small and one gotta have it sized. I did question it, but the girl brushed me off and I didn't feel like arguing. It's hot, I promised my kid ice cream and I'm on a schedule. After leaving, we realized the custom creation barely had any toppings in there. We counted 3 gummy bears. Where did the rest go? I've never experienced this before. If you must go to a coldstone, I DO NOT recommend the Waldorf location. Not only that, the girl who served/rang us up seemed to have an attitude. It's a beautiful day out today, so I figured why not go to COLDSTONE and get some ice cream. I walked in with a smile oh my face, to not only not be greeted, but with what do you want. I overlooked that, then proceed with my order. I've been to this place a few times and it's always the same routine...they make your ice cream, pass it to you, then take you to the register to pay. For some strange reason, this young kid decided to hold my ice cream hostage and said I had to pay first, as if I were going to take off with $7 worth of ice cream. He tried to clean it up and say I was going to ask if you wanted a bag, to which he never did. It was the audacity for me. I am now in the Waldorf, MD cold stone. Today is Thursday, May 15 at 5:10. I came into this establishment with mom and sister to get ice cream and saw multiple employees using their hands to make dessert items. No gloves! With one employee using her hands to put the waffle cone bowls /chips into cups and then using her HANDS to break off the pieces that went over the cups! She then went to help another employee, wiped her hands on her dirty sweat pants and then returned to touching the waffle bowls/chips. The worker had to touch more than 20 waffle cones bowls while I was standing there. I was very upset to see this. I walked out before I could take a picture! This is unacceptable. read more

I'll start by saying this review is a 3.5! Coldstone Creamery has been an occasional treat spot for years. There are many flavors of ice cream and mix-ins to satisfy all of your dessert desires. Both are clearly displayed so you can easily see your options. There's also a clear board of Coldstone creations that you can also customize. Beyond ice cream, there are pre-made ice cream cakes, quarts to-go, and shakes and smoothies. So you're likely covered. I'm not sure about dairy-free or vegan options but I'd love to see those options! The facility is generally clean and service is efficient. The friendliness levels can vary but I've never experienced any outright rudeness. During COVID, masks are worn by employees and everything is to-go. I like it. The staff was VERY friendly. I couldn't make up my mind but they didn't make me feel rushed or give me an attitude. I wish I had gotten the name of the two girls working that day because their customer service was quick and polite! My fiance and I got 2 scoops and an extra bowl to split it. So worth it! The staff was very friendly and super fast! I made up my own thing and they kept right up with all my crazy requests. Serving was HUGE and it was spilling all over the place before I even walked out the door. Great stuff! Made my rekindle me long lost love with this place. Look - I love ice cream. I only frequent this location because its close to my house. Whenever I'm having a taste for some Cookie Doughn't You Want Some (cookie dough) or Oreo Overload (cookies n crème) I head to Cold Stone. There is almost ALWAYS a line at this location; however, on this particular visit, I know I stood in line a good 30mins+ (the longest I've ever waited). They only had 3 individuals preparing the creations to which I guess also a manager who would come out the back every so often to re-stock the ice creams and whatever else needed to be replenished behind the counter. The only reason I stood in this line so long was because I had my son with me and he LOVES their Cotton Candy with sprinkles (plus it was hot as heck outside and we wanted ice cream!). So we stood and stood and stood and stood until finally it was our turn. The ice cream made up for the long wait, though! My son and I happily enjoyed our treats while on our way home. I also notice while standing so long that the I believe Favorites menu board had changed. I no longer saw my Cookie Doughn't You Want Some listed, I'm sure they could've made it if that's what I requested, but I was and still am curious as to why it was removed. Let me preface this by saying I LOVE Cold Stone. I've lived in several cities in several states across the country from North Carolina to Alaska and have really never had any issues and I've certainly never walked out with nothing. The problem with this Cold Stone is that it's terribly inconsistent. I've been coming here with my husband for several weekends since April. The first couple times we went, everything was amazing! We even told our friends that it was the best Cold Stone we'd ever been to! But since the beginning of May it's slowly gone downhill. I've walked out twice with nothing because they're out of everything I'd usually get by 2pm on a Saturday. For example, chocolate cones. They're out of chocolate cones by 2pm. On a weekend. Why? This is one of the things they're KNOWN for and they're completely out? The excuse I was given: "Oh, we usually make those in the morning." Meanwhile, there were three employees standing around doing anything. I know for a fact that they're very easy to make. Not only do I have friends who work at Cold Stone, but at the Anchorage, AK location you can ask for one if they're out and they'll make it in front of you - it takes 5 minutes start to finish. But apparently at this location they make one batch in the morning and if it's gone at noon, then oh well to the rest of their customers until 11pm. I wish they would get back to their pre-summer standards because they were awesome then. read more
