I've never heard of Foster's Grille but on a random rainy Sunday, my girl said, let's go to Foster's Grille.. Ooook?!?! I've lived near Waldorf for over a year now and I NEVER knew this place existed and now I know why. It's located in a small strip of stores, some out of business, a nail shop and Foster's. Inside has the industrial look with the exposed ventilation, which is a look I've always liked. Fosters is no frills with a menu to match. Burgers, wings, subs, hot dogs and salads. You can also get a draft or bottled beer and a canned margarita. We both chose the 1/4lb chilli cheese hot dogs that were delicious. Her onion rings were bomb but so were my natural cut fries!! I started this review giving Foster's 3 stars, thinking, what's so special about Foster's that would make me come here over a place like Buffalo Wild Wings? As I write, I realized that every now and then I just want a good grilled chilli dog and fries, and honestly, I can't think of a better one than Foster's.. So, 4 stars it is!! read more

On the plus side, the service was good and the wait time for my to-go order wasn't long at all. The food, however, was just average. I tried a cheesesteak (with mayo and grilled onions), a hotdog (with bbq sauce and grilled onions) and some onion rings. The cheesesteak was very bland. It lacked seasoning, and they put so little mayo on it that it seemed like just eating steak and bread. I had to add some pepper and sauce at home to add some flavor to it and make it more enjoyable. The hot dog was better from a sauce perspective, but the meat itself was just ok. I had hoped they had something special about their hotdogs, but it seemed to me it could have easily been something I picked up at the local supermarket. Solid, but not something I would order again. The onion rings were good, and the establishment was clean and inviting. I may go back to try their charburgers, as those seem to be a specialty. Sure other places like fast food places have them too but Foster's is different, it's fast but it's dine in only which for me makes me feel less guilty for eating this way. Went here on Tuesday and got a burger and fries, I don't know what they did but I ended up with food poisoning. I have to take off from work for 3 days, it gave me a terrible headache and stomach pain, I was weak and running to the bathroom so many times was ridiculous. Me and my girlfriend love burger places. We are local from the area and decided to try this place out yesterday 09/28/2025 When we ordered we ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 fries. We also wanted to small cups for water (which we were charged for as we were getting sodas) we were never told this by the cashier. Also there was another strage charge at the end of the bill for a conv fee or something. Our bill was about 40.00 which seems very steep. When the lady brough our food out to us she brought the wrong order and had a chicken sandwhich with 2 small sand and 2 small fries.. We said we didnt order it. She looked at our order confused and said ohh yea this is it and just took the chicken sand away. This was odd. I've ordered different things here and it's never overtly inedible but I don't think I'll come here anymore. The last 2 times I ordered the chicken cheesesteak with fries. The bread was so greasy and mushy in places that I took a knife and scraped it away. They put very minimal mayo on the sandwich and the fries were overcooked and greasy as well. The day after Thanksgiving. Stopped in to have a couple of drinks as we were visiting our son and DIL that just recently moved here from southern MD. Since it was Friday, we had the great fortune of having happy hour prices on beer and wings. The wings were .95 each and we were able to carry them out. The last time I ate at Foster's Grille was about 15 years ago in NC so I was super excited to see there was a Foster's Grill close to me when I moved here. Foster's has my favorite wings and they did not disappoint me 15 years later. I've been to this location a couple of times and it's always empty but really clean. You have to fill out your own order sheet when you first walk in but that gives you the opportunity to make sure you ask for exactly what you want. I ordered the 5 piece hot wings and accidently wrote that I wanted boneless. I went back up to the counter and the manager came to help me after the original cashier wasnt sure how to change my order. The manager helped me and made sure I got exactly what I wanted! When my food came out, everything was fresh and hot! The hot wings are the perfect amount of spice. Not too too hot but definitely a kick! I absolutely LOVE their fries. The best I've had anywhere. My fiancé ordered a burger and he was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The manager came over a couple of times to check on us and she took our trash after we finished eating. Great burgers and service! I went on a Saturday afternoon and was very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. They made sure my order was correct and asked if I needed anything else as I was dining inside. Others in my party loved their burgers. I ordered the mild wings and they were good. I wish they had more sauce on them. I also wish they came with celery and carrots. I do like that they have salads on the menu for when I need alternative choice to burgers and wings. This place is a hidden gem! Great food and even better customer service. I seen this place so many times in passing but never stopped but today I'm glad I did! I had the philly steakhouse with fries and it was so good! Portions were perfect. The atmosphere has a laid back vibe and its so clean! When you come in you're greeted and there is a note pad for you to fill out to take to the counter to place your order. Prices are also great for the amount of food you get. You can get a 1/2 pound, flame grilled burger here for $7.75, with toppings like mayo, ketchup, mustard, tomato, onion, relish, pickle, jalapeño, grilled onions, and hot sauce on tic (free). Cheese, at this spot cost an additional $.85. They have American, Provolone, Cheddar, Swiss, blue cheese crumbles and Pepperjack. They also have chili, bacon, and grilled mushrooms options at an additional $1.50. So I copped their Char-burger (pictured-topped with Mayo, mustard, pickles, American cheese, and bacon $10.10), and I must say that it was everything I needed a burger to be...DELICIOUS!! You can taste the flame grilled flavor in this burger!! Excellent!! Walked in at 9:30pm and the cashier was disappointed. She asked me if I was picking up an order in which I stated no. She then informed me that they were closing in 15mins. My husband walked in after me and informed him that they were closing in 15mins. The cashier then stated, if we were ordering to go she would take our order. I ordered fries and chicken wings. My husband ordered a burger and fries. My overall rating of the food is TRASH. The fries were greasy. I had to pick through them to determine which ones I wanted to eat. Ordered online from this establishment on Friday night, January 19, for one adult and two kids. The kids portions did not have fries but were supposed, due to a mixup with the website. When I called back to speak to the manager on duty that evening, she explained the issue with the website and offered to compensate for the trouble. More often than not, these forums will be used to lash out at restaurant employees but not often to commend for positive service. In this case, I wanted to take the time to thank her for the way she handled this issue. She identified there was an issue with the website, I stopped by the next day and was given a discount for my next visit, and she was a pleasure to deal with, and I appreciate her efforts to make it right. The poor service is not a result from Covid. There were literally only three people inside. I put in a pick up order through door dash at 6:25 pm. I gave them a pick up time of 7:15 pm. I got to the restaurant at 7:22pm and was told that my order had not been started. He insisted that he could have it ready in 10 minutes. The food was ready in ten min or so I thought. I checked the food before I left and one of the orders did not have fries. So I had to wait for the fries. This was my first time here and my last. First impressions are everything. One more thing: when I got to my car I checked my fish and chips: no tartar sauce. I didn't bother going back in. It's clear the management here doesn't give any @*#*s. One more update: we ordered the Philly cheesesteak sub and fries and the fish and chips. The fish was unpalatable and greasy. I only took a small bite of the fish and tossed it out. We love it here and have never been disappointed. We come here once or twice a month and always have great food. It is a great atmosphere and a place to come and not have to worry about keeping your kids too quiet. lol! They have a few arcade games for the kids to occupy their time. They have several TVs playing whatever current sports game is on. They also have one TV that always has kids programming on it like the Disney Channel. They have long tables together and it is a great spot to come with a group. They also have booths surrounding the perimeter if you don't need a big table. The food is always hot and fresh. They have specials that change every couple months. This past visit I got one of the specials...shrimp and chips. It was very good. The shrimp was breaded and not too greasy. Their fries are always good and crispy. I like to dip mine in ranch but you can also pay a little extra to add cheese sauce. They have ketchup and malt vinegar at all of the tables as well. We never been here before. I liked it because it doesn't have just the typical burger. It's very kid friendly and your safety is #1 priority. It did take us a while to get our lunch. The cheesesteak is a definite hard pass; I would not recommend. The burgers seem okay. Onion rings have a batter that tastes no better than something store bought from the freezer section. The fried chicken breast on my salad was overcooked. Fries are made in the popular fresh cut style but, unfortunately, whoever prepared our order failed to include the add-ons we paid for. The person working the register took way too long to address and acknowledge our party, before we could place our order, but was expedient and exceedingly helpful to the old white ladies in front of us; as well as with a number of non-ethnic patrons--I wonder if I [and my party] was white: Would I have received comparable service? When we returned to pick up our order, the staff intentionally did not make eye contact; nor did any staff member acknowledge our party, for a second time in the same visit. My husband and I looked for a place to eat and had passed by this place many times and decided to try it. My meal was the worst. I had the BQ Boneless wings and will never eat there again. They we're dry and barely covered with sauce. Secondly, one of the waiters cleaned off the table and dumped the food out off the red baskets into the trash using a couple of the baskets to push trash down in trash can and then put them back up on the counter to be used. This was a highlight to a day of errands in the 'dorf - I had driven past Fosters many times and finally decided to give it a try. Having no idea what I was getting into, the ordering process took me by a bit of surprise. When we entered, we were summoned over to the bar area, handed ordering sheets, and instructed to circle what we wanted. This is always a little more pressured than getting to study a menu at your table so I just went with the 1/2 pound charburger since it was their signature item. The wait time for our food was on the long side, considering there was nobody waiting in front of us. The burger and boardwalk style fries were quite tasty. $20 for 2 cheeseburgers, 2 sides of fries and 2 drinks. A little on the pricey side for a fast food style restaurant. And do you tip? We weren't sure what to do. The atmosphere is fun and sports bar like. By 12:30 on a Friday afternoon, the place was filled to the brim with people, which is always encouraging.
