We both scored this place a 2.5 out of 5 overall. Its 85 outside and we walked into the building with no ac and 5 fans running. For our first time there, we self ordered. We had in kind rewards and ended up needing the employee to order for us since we were using that. The employees were both playing on their phones the entire time. I get it that it's slow and hot af in the building, but maybe look up once in 5 minutes to see if the only customers you have had all day need anything. We are literally ticket 5 at 230 in the afternoon. Also, how do you only have coke and sprite with no other soda options when you have 4 things on the menu that come with a soda and cant upcharge to the teas? Doesn't make sense from a business standpoint point. Below are pictures of the food by the time we drove 20 minutes home. The burgers flavorwise were delicious! But honestly there's no point cooking a wagyu smash burger well done when the whole reason to have wagyu is to taste the fat content. Also, 17$ for a double burger a la carte? Excuse me? The only reason I suggest coming here is if you have a coupon or discount code. The fries for the burger combo were not good but the wagyu loaded fries were fire. Was in the Fort Washington area and remembered seeing a review on this place so I stopped by to pick up some food. I placed an order for a Wagyu Smashburger, Bag of Fries, and Lumpia Shanghai (along with some Auntea Boba stuff since its all under one menu). Food was ready in about 15 minutes. Food traveled really well. The fries almost didn't make it home. They had the best crispy fries I've had in a while. The lumpia was decent, not too meaty but also had a good crisp to it. The burger was also pretty good. Not sure I could've told the difference between the wagyu and the classic. It was good but I could've gotten more meat for a dollar less with the Classic Double. Overall a decent experience. Food comes out quick but a little pricey. Good flavor though so might be worth checking out. The boba on the other hand might need some work. read more

On the bottom floor of the old Hiraya on H St. in D.C., Double Up Burger serves Wagyu smash burgers. Overall, the meal was fine but I wish the burgers were a bit bigger, given the size and the fries were a bit saltier than I'd like. Like the old Hiraya, I liked the music played in the aux. The best burger in fort washington for sure! I had been sick a couple days prior and my body was craving something salty and delicious. I got the regular burger lunch special instead of the wagyu because I was being modest with my finances haha. The beef is so fresh and delicious, there's no other burger like it near by. The special came with fries and a choice of drink which is a great deal. You order from a kiosk and can make modifications easily! Food doesn't take long. This place has huge potential to be a gem out in Fort Washington. The fact that they source their beef from a Wagyu-Angus farm is impressive and really sold me into coming here. The beef was good, but the only thing that put me off was the amount of mustard they use. TOO MUCH MUSTARD! I think if they lay off the mustard and spread (maybe a half drizzle would do) and let the beef speak for itself... they would have a cult following. I decided to try the double smashburger combo, hoping for a solid meal, but honestly, it fell short--especially for the price. The burger itself was okay at best. Tastes similar to Burger King and I despise Burger King due to the flame grilled taste. While the patties were a nice size, they were less than flavorful. The bun? Just there to hold it all together, nothing special. The fries were forgettable--salted to the extreme, but they were very crispy and remained hot & crispy until I got home. For what I paid, I expected something a little more satisfying. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't worth the price. Went to the Supreme BBQ/Double Up location in Clinton, MD. Ambiance was nothing special but the service was good. Looks like the Supreme BBQ side might be closing for good soon so get that while you can. I got the double beef smashburger combo, the food was not good for the price of $15. Ok, this place was a little odd. It's a boba shop where they sell burgers. There's two tables and a barstool counter for seating, and it seems like there's a lot of to-go business. But legitimately, it's a really good burger. Fries were cooked in old, reused oil. Bathroom was absolutely filthy with urine just caked on and around the toilet and seems as though it hasn't been scrubbed or cleaned in over a month. If that's how filthy their bathroom is, I'd hate to see the kitchen. read more
