    Chicago Dog
    Shayla M.

I ordered my food via door dash. So my review is going to be based off of flavor and taste. My food was ready fairly quickly and delivered in a timely manner. I ordered the bun papa classic burger, Chicago dog and the fries. The burger was huge. The toppings on it made the bun soggy im some spots so it made it a little bit difficult to enjoy the brioche bun. The Chicago dog was a little messy but i appreciated the grilled bun. I love fries, but the menu says shoestring and the fries were not shoestring fries at all. I had to use my airfryer to crisp them back up because they were a little soft from delivery travel. I'm sure they were crispy once they were cooked at the restaurant.

At first, i didn't notice the sign so had a hard time finding it until i saw the logo on a window. It's inside the Bread & Water Company storefront. We ordered our food online and when we arrived to pick it up, it was not ready as their system was down and they did not have internet in the store. Luckily, the lady at the register was very nice and started working on it and it took 10 ish mins. I got a Bun Papa Classic with no cheese and shoestring fries. There are a few tables outside but we took this order home. The fries seemed more like regular fries and not shoestring. I liked them and they had a creamy texture on the inside. The burger had 2 beef patties with lettuce, red onions and tomato on a brioche bun with mayo, house dill pickle and ketchup. I really liked the bun. It was soft, fluffy, pillowy and held up well with the contents of the burger. I thought the meat was seasoned and cooked well, veggies brought a good level of freshness and the condiments complimented the rest of the burger. I would definitely order again.

Delicious burger. Saucy to the max! I think big buns has better burgers. The service needs some work.. online you are able to order a burger with no fries but in person the server said he can't remove the fries from my order. I did not stay for the ambiance... this location was to order to go

I'm not a burger person but my family loves burgers! Read somewhere that they were voted best burger in nova/alexandria and it was nearby. Ordered an avocado burger which has avocado, pickled onions, cilantro and salsa....looked it! The boys ordered roadhouse burgers which had bacon, pickled onions and bbq sauce. They really liked it. Waffle fries were seasoned well and we asked for spicy ketchup which gave it a nice little kick. My son also ordered the poutine and said it was good! We also ordered chicken sandwiches which they said was good but nothing exceptional.

Waffle fries but their menu said shoe string fries. I asked and paid for a roadhouse burger and I got a cheeseburger!

I ordered a roadhouse burger and receive a double classic cheeseburger. We ordered shoe strung fries and got waffle fries. I didn't want those. . When I called, I was told to bring the burger back then they'll make one. He needed it as proof. I asked for the manager and they he said there's none there. Thanks but no thanks. Now we are making another trip out 5 miles away to get my dinner. Next time I won't order from you. Sorry I bothered. Even his tone on the phone was like less than helpful and said to me, want a refund? Really? This is my dinner. it was like pulling teeth to get my order corrected!!!!

Loved the cheeseburger here. Everything from the toasted bun to the melted cheese was spot on. It tasted fresh and not greasy. Great lunch overall.

Burger was good and juicy. Food is on the pricier side though. We ordered the waffle fries and they were slightly overseasoned. Kind of weird that they ran out of ketchup during lunchtime considering there's a Safeway in the same shopping center where they can easily restock it. We didnt try the desserts but $7 for a slice of cake seems high.

I tried their BBQ bacon burger, and it was incredible. The smoky bacon and tangy barbecue sauce made every bite so satisfying. The crispy onion rings on top added the perfect crunch. This is definitely one of my favorites.

Stopped in for a bite to eat after visiting a friend at the hospital. My husband and I split a Roadhouse Burger and the Angry Chicken Sandwich. Both were delicious, but the Angry Chicken was our favorite! We also got the French fries, which were hot and seasoned well. Only downside is we almost didn't find the place. The name is not on the building over it, just a sign in the window. We would definitely stop in again if we're back in the area.

Got the chance to try Bun Papa out at a recent Wizards game (they're located by section 216 for the 2023-24 season) and was blown away by how great the food was, particularly given how hard it is to serve up hot, fresh food at a stadium that holds thousands. (Well, it's the Wizards, so more like dozens.) The Papa Poutine, a mass of waffle fries covered with gravy, ground beef, cheese curds, green onions and onion straws, was absolutely fantastic, an epic combination of rich flavors that looked amazing and tasted even better. It's a standout, as it's the only thing I've ever ordered at a stadium and had multiple people ask me where they could get it. I was so impressed that I came back another time to try the Big Papa Deluxe burger, which was also very good. The two patties were cooked well, still very juicy and well-seasoned, with super fresh, flavorful pickles, a solid secret sauce, all served up on a notably tasty grilled brioche bun. The rest of the menu looks fantastic as well, and definitely looking forward to trying more soon!

The service was a 5/5 the waitress was kind and attentive. The burger was good but it was small for me and they could add a bigger portion of fries so overall get a 4/5. They pie was good but a little dry.

Juicy nuggets (clearly NOT air fried), decent tzatziki sauce, FRESH grilled veggies (albeit no seasoning *sigh*). 25+ beers on tap. The visit was unique, the story is unique and the food is unique! Let's do this! Established in 1950 or 1954 (reports vary but the sign on the building says 1954), Weenie Beenie was a modest hot dog stand serving hot dogs and beans. It was started by two brothers, Carl and Bill Staton. Bill happened to be an incredible and ultimately famous traveling pool player who went by the name... you guessed it... Weenie Beenie! He won 27k in Arkansas (which is a LOT of money in the 1950's) and used the money to finance the hot dog stand's growth! He appeared on television, played hustlers across the country, and backed other hustlers while living the pool and entrepreneur life. During the 50's, a period of entrenched segregation in Virginia, Weenie Beenie distinguished itself by hiring black employees on the same terms as whites when most white‑owned businesses would not hire blacks at all. This made Weenie Beenie a rare example of early workplace integration in Arlington and a meaningful employer within the historically Black Green Valley community. Its reputation for fairness became a very important part of its legacy, remembered along with the food and its very colorful founder. We popped over and found a 70+ year old walk-up stand with a colorful, diverse and engaging set of customers and friendly service. In faded letters on the front wall to the left are the 10 commandments! No breaking any divine rules at Weenie Beenie's! We all chatted and I learned the one guy comes every day! The old man in the suit was very polite and reserved. The younger Latin and black clientele were fun and engaging and we joked around quite a bit. Another older man was as 38-year veteran of the armed service! Thank you sir! I heard some stories... Of course, we ordered half-smokes! They are well-seasoned half-pork, half beef, smoked sausages that are truly incredible. Weenie Beenie's are unique and delicious! Life is good with a historic, unique, fun and respectful half smoke.

When it came time to pay, I paid in cash using a larger bill. The server assumed I was giving a large tip and was about to walk away with no intention of giving me my change. I made no comment of "keep the change" I then had to awkwardly ask for my change back so I could leave a tip separately. He proceeded to ask how much change I wanted, putting me on the spot and feeling pressured to leave a large tip (mind you, I was going to already leave a tip). Because of this, I ended up leaving a much larger tip (over 50%) than I had intended, especially considering the level of service he provided us. I understand that I could have been more firm about asking for all my change back, but guests should never feel pressured or uncomfortable when paying. Overall, the service experience with our waiter overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable visit.
