a food truck with a menu on the side

I definitely enjoyed my meal from this food truck- I ordered the chicken cheese steak combo ($10). I liked that it included green peppers, jalapenos...and they didn't charge extra for it like some similar trucks. The service was great and I'll definitely try them again.

I haven't seen them at Capitol South lately; hope they come back. I love the Mouth Burning Cheesesteak.

Cheesesteak was just okay. The meat needed seasoning. The bread didn't stand up to the toppings. We got a free drink though!

Whatever the cheeseburger is made of tastes a little weird. The fried were decent. I don't think I'd come back. To each his own.

I think this truck may have rebranded itself from a cheesesteak truck to a Mexican truck.

I can't believe that I've never reviewed Flavor Hive!! And their first brick and mortar location?…read more First you have to know that I'm Egyptian but I'm not the one who miss the food from Egypt and eat Middle Eastern food everyday! I'm completely the opposite! I eat cheeseburgers and Italian the most! However, Flavor Hive have a spot in my heart! I go there with my keto chips bag, pork rinds bag (also Keto) or I get a salad bowl! There are many times that I had the rice bowls as well! This place is more than amazing! I have a numerous combinations that I mix and match in between and I've created flavors that made come back quickly to try the others! I'm not the person who would order the "everything" and I don't recommend it! But mixing two meats is still valid on my book! I love the ground beef!! I love the chicken!! I love the honey spicy chicken and I like the steak! I've spoke enough about the food but forgot the memories made their! Man! If Amgad or Shihan ( the founders) are there ... you're in luck! You locked in with the experience! I'm not talking about the food! You will get the same amazing food and generous portions with every person at this store even if the founders aren't there! But I'm talking about the humor, the fun, the experience and the memories that you would live and make if you meet those two wonderful guys or one of them at least! I can't tell you enough, go to their Instagram page and watch their videos! Hey! Where are you going??? Don't go to Instagram now! Finish reading my review first! Go try them second! Put your review third! Then you're free to go! LOL you tried them already?? OK! Then why aren't you there already repeating your order or trying your other combination?? The outdoors seats are a nice add to the beautiful ambiance! By the way, this store was a bank before and you can take photo by the vault door! It's cool! I was going to talk about Cafe Hive but they have made it a separate entity and honestly it needs a separate review! But don't leave without getting your ice cream mixed with your favorite candy bar and don't go without your favorite candy bar! They will take any thing you want to add to your ice cream! The machine will mix it into ice cream or a Milk shake if you want! I once got them a Tiramisu from Balducci and it was amazing! Now they have Tiramisu on their menu! Cafe Hive have much more, ask! We ordered the half rice/half fries base, honey chicken (sweet and spicy), steak (nice seasoning!!), and tons of toppings (chickpeas, red onion, jalapenos, fried onions, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, purple cabbage, cucumbers, white and green sauces)! Great concept of a Halal fast casual spin on Chipotle or Cava. The portion sizes are HUGE. They are so generous with the base and toppings. Easily enough food for 2 meals. I will definitely try the quesadilla next time!

It's located in a strip shopping center, so parking is super easy and accessible, and the restaurant itself is very easy to find. Walking in, the space is extremely clean, well-lit, and nicely decorated. Now let's talk about the real highlight: the variety. They have dinner plates, bowl options, and à la carte items. I went with one of my favorites, the lechon. They were out of the roasted version, but the staff recommended the fried pork instead, and it did not disappoint. I came in around 7:30, and they close at 8, so I was trying to be mindful and not hold them up. But the woman at the counter was incredibly kind and told me not to rush at all--"you're already inside, take your time." That level of hospitality really stood out. She even took the time to walk me through the menu, which I appreciated, even though I'm already familiar with Filipino food. The food itself? Amazing. The lechon was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The portion size was generous, and it came with two Lumpia that were hot, fresh, and delicious. It also included a soda, which made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal. Overall, this place is a 10/10. Great food, great portions, and even better customer service. I'd highly recommend stopping by.

The women working here were kind and helpful. You order at the counter in the back, and they will bring your food to your table. Menu options abound, but the only menu was the display screen above and in back of the counter. Unfortunately, the display screen is hard to see and there are no descriptions with the pictures/items. Mang Eton really needs to provide some printed menus. While the online menu does contain descriptions, the online descriptions don't necessarily match what is available. Anyways.... For a starter, we ordered the siomai. These were plump and tasty. We wish they would give more of the excellent dipping sauce than the tiny thimble of sauce that they do give you. Note: the combo meals also include a couple pieces of siomai. I ordered the Combo #1, which came with a piece of fried chicken, 2 lumpia, shrimp chips, rice and pancit. The lumpia had an excellent flavor. The fried chicken and pancit were okay. JP ordered the Combo #3. The only difference between the Combo #1 and Combo #3 is that the Combo $3 comes with fish instead of chicken. It also comes with a skewer of meat (pork?), which was good. We were the only non-Filipino customers. I plan on coming back to try the halo-halo dessert and to order some more yummy siomai.

The hubs spotted this while we were on our way to another spot, and I am glad to have been able to check this place out! The menu offers various appetizers (hummus, baba ghanouj stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and kibbeh), salads and bowls, wraps, platters (that come with a side of fries), and even kid options. I ordered: +hummus - thick, creamy, and had a slight tang to it +baba ghanouj - super smokey and thick +stuffed grape leaves - this was shared that it was very good and homemade; definitely more tangy-er +kibbeh - freshly-fried and comes with 3 pieces +beef shawarma wrap - comes with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sliced pickles, and garlic sauce; filled generously with seasoned beef strips, this can be a mess to eat with the dripping sauce! +chicken shawarma wrap - comes with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sliced pickles, and garlic sauce; filled generously with seasoned chicken (seemed like breast is used?), this can be a mess to eat with the dripping sauce! The food, overall, was okay - we weren't a fan of the shawarma as the seasoning in the beef and the chicken were just off, and both meats were a little dried out. There seemed to be an influx of patrons stopping by, and it was good to see such support for a local food truck! Just note that even though there's a menu board posted outside of the truck, there are no prices listed; there is a paper menu that you can request. We spent about $50+, plus gratuity, so it's definitely more on the pricier side. I was disappointed that they didn't have the lemonade with mint. Parking can be tricky, as it's in a gas station, so it is tricky to park off to the side. Super friendly staff! +stuffed grape leaves! +request a hard copy of the menu for prices +friendly staff! +card accepted! +located at the Shell gas station
