This low score is strictly due to the lack of customer service. The food would receive a 3.5. Once we entered, the larger black lady said "pick up or take out?" No hello, no greeting, literally that's what she's screaming from behind the counter as soon as I opened the door. Once we got to the counter, she repeated herself, "pick up or take out?". Once I said take out, Ms. PhoneInHerHand, young light skin girl, approached the register, said nothing! Mind you, this is our FIRST time here. I'm looking around crazy for the menu, then Ms. PhoneInHerHand tapped the kiosk and a screen, which appears to be where you placed your order appeared. The screen does not immediately show what's in each steak n cheese, but Ms. PhoneInHerHand was so into what was on her phone she was no help. I ordered the 9" Steak Royal added ketchup and mayo. The person I was with asked for their Sunday special that is CURRENTLY on their site, "NFL Sunday's Get It and Go". Ms. PhoneInHerHand said they didn't have it, which was fine. My guest asked what other specials they had and Ms. PhoneInHerHand said "we have BOGO, you know what that is?". God is truly working on me, because me a few years ago I would've had a not so nice reply!! Anywho, they got that. Whole time Ms. PhoneInHerHand being smart, the deal was actually B2G1 free. SMH now why would we need THREE steak n cheese, but shame on us for not checking the receipt! Now, the food, I added ketchup and mayo to mine. The steak was good, the bread was not! I follow him on IG and several other people also commented about his bread which he stated he gets daily. But mine had an unpleasant pull to it. If the bread was better I could easily give it 4 stars. Also, I wish they had an option for a 6" because the 9" was a bit much for me. I also ordered onion rings, which were good, typical onion rings, but not worth $8. I did enjoy the pickles and peppers that came with it, I wish they provided more. I got a chance to taste the Ultimate Triple, since we had THREE, (Lol but smh) it too was tasty, again the bread was a bit hard, on one side on that one. For the amount they charge, I wouldn't make this a regular place to eat. On top of the lack of customer service, yeah, No!

I ordered online and grabbed two NFL Specials. Since the online ordering does not let you customize the sandwich, I assumed everything listed in the description would be included. I will say this. The food was ready much faster than the quoted time on the website. I know estimates usually factor in rushes and other variables, so that was a pleasant surprise. When I arrived, the space immediately stood out. It was very clean, had plenty of seating, and the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. No complaints there at all. Once I got home and opened the cheesesteaks, that is where things fell a little short of the hype. Both sandwiches only had steak, cheese, onions, and a small amount of mayo. Unfortunately, the additional toppings listed in the description were missing. That was disappointing, especially since there was no option to edit or confirm toppings when ordering online. That said, the cheesesteak itself was still tasty. The fries were fine but pretty basic. Because this is a small business, I would absolutely give them another try. Next time, I would order in person instead of online to make sure everything on the sandwich matches what is advertised.

Heard about Chunky and Bop's, so I decided to give them a try. You can order online or when you arrive. The food is made to order. It was clean, spacious, and a very welcoming atmosphere from the woman taking the orders to the cooks as well as the owner who wanted to deliver well wishes to his patrons. I ordered the chicken cheese steak with fried onions and provolone cheese. It had a nice texture, and the cheese was blended evenly throughout the sandwich. As a born and raised Philadelphian, I do not like my sweet/hot peppers and pickles on the side. I want them sautéed and chopped with my chicken and then added to my roll. Otherwise, I feel like I have to build my sandwich before I eat it, and that takes away from my enjoyment of the sandwich. I give Chunky and Bop's 3/5. The sandwich is definitely good. The bread is fresh, but I didn't like that I had to add everything that is traditionally cooked on my sandwich. If you are in Landover, Md., be sure to support. Til we eat again...

Not a big fan of cheesesteaks -- but I am now! Hands down, this is the best cheesesteak I have ever eaten, and we've traveled from Maryland to Philly many times searching for that perfect one. For anyone giving this place one star, I honestly can't believe it -- must be a rival company, because there's just no way! The food was exceptional, the business was clean and welcoming, and thservice was fast and friendly. This will definitely be our only cheesesteak spot from now on, and we're coming all the way from Accokeek to get it.

This was my first time ordering from Chunky and Bops. Unfortunately the day that I went to their Riverdale location it had closed and moved to its new location now in Landover. I ordered the steak sub with green peppers, onions with provolone cheese. I'm not a big cheese fan so my next sub will be with out cheese. The meat was tender and flavor filled. The bun was perfect, firm and not soggy from the sub innards. Service was great. I was greeted upon enteering and the young woman who took my order was very pleasant and took the time to explain the menu. The interior of the place is blah. There was a couple who was eating the when I ordered my food but most people ordered to go. This place is in an old shopping plaza so parking is plentiful. I definitely intend on going back.

I was so excited to come and try chunky and bops since I first heard about them but the location and wait times was not what I had hoped for. So when I heard they moved to their own building that was closer to my house I was excited and decided to drop by. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated and the customer service was excellent. Now let's get to the sandwich. I got the 18in cheesesteak with fries which can to about 30.00 with tip included. The fries were normal fries nothing to scream about. The sandwich was decent I was upset at the fact that I asked for Grilled onions and peppers and neither looked like they touched a grill. If I knew I was going to get raw onions instead of grilled onions I would've never asked for them. When they asked what you want on your sandwich I thought that it would be on the sandwich not me having to put my own condiments on it. It's nothing like a Philly cheesesteak but it not bad either. I will give them another try and see if things improve

Came here for a quick bite on a nice Friday afternoon and ordered from Chunky and Bop's. I ordered the cheesesteak with the mushrooms and peppers with sweet potato fries. The first bite was initially good and then I eventually had an aftertaste, I managed and ate it all so it wasn't that bad after all lol. They also added extra peppers, cheese, and pickles on the side. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crisp and loved the crinkly cut of them. Overall, it was pretty good for a quick bite. We also ordered drinks from Casper's, which they forgot to bring to our table, so I went to the bar to grab them.

So I was thrilled when one opened up in Hyattsville, not far from where I live. My partner and I have been there many times over the past few years and have always enjoyed it. But we were flabbergasted by our most recent experience. The food is as good as it ever was, but the value just isn't there. We were in on a Wednesday night and noticed a table sign for a special: two large pies and two appetizers for $60, so we ordered that. We each had one drink as well, and split a dessert. The bill came to over double that amount! We have paid less when eating in fine dining establishments. Why was our bill so high? Two main reasons: first because the upcharge for an additional topping is $4 each. I would expect that for fancy meat or cheese, but we only added red onion slices. Onions are one of the cheapest things in the supermarket, and $8 will buy a lot of onions. But I guess that's on us for not noticing that all additional toppings are the same (high!) price. Also, PP automatically adds a 20% charge in lieu of a tip. I have mixed feelings about that (and about the increases in tip culture in general). Our service was fine but not exceptional. Sadly, we will think hard before returning to PP. There are many other good pizza places out there.

It felt like maybe the woman taking my order over the phone was super busy and was just a bit stressed that day. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt unless they actually say something rude and pointed directed at me (which she did not). So I get to the Ledo's and the woman at the front counter asks me for my name and commented that she had spoke with me over the phone. She was like... one of the nicest people ever. So nice and sweet. She just didn't come across that way over the phone. She kindly told me my order would be ready in a few minutes. I went back to the bathroom and realized you might need a key to get in. I come to the front counter and she readily gives me the key and is super nice about it. When she was packing up my food, she just had this wonderful mom-like caring vibe to her. Just sweet and wonderful in every way. The pizza was delicious ( as ledos is). But because Ledos is a franchise it can definitely vary from Ledos to Ledos. This Ledos makes it like it should. I decided to get the bavarian pretzel which must be like 10 or 11 inches across - it's HUGE. And it was nice and soft and I can tell that they brushed butter on it ( which didn't hurt... anything but my arteries). I accidentally ordered a house salad when I meant to order the Italian salad, but the house salad was good and fresh nonetheless. Wouldn't hesitate to stop here if I was in the neighborhood again and I was encourage others to do the same.

I went there recently and the workforce has completely changed, so perhaps there is new management. What I saw at 7pm on a weekday night was atrocious. Unfortunately, I had already placed an online order so food was paid for otherwise I'd have about faced. First off, the food was not done and my wing order hadn't even been started though I purposely arrived 10 mins after pick up time for leeway. More than that though, hygiene and cleanliness? These people never heard of them! There were three men in the place and tables were also empty. One man was at the register and greeted me, then disappeared to the back for who knows what. One gentleman was making dough; though sweet tempered he looked harried and did not have any gloves on. Not a soul did, in fact. There were gnats flying around the tip jar, which is strange to me because there shouldn't be any food particles nor water in a tip jar... The worst offense? The last guy, an older gentleman with a pot belly protruding from the thin wife beater tank top he wore, was idly standing at a food station gnawing on wings and licking his fingers while watching the tv. The whole experience was off putting along with a weird smell hanging in the air. I'm not at all opposed to employees eating obviously, but sir, put on an actual shirt and do that mess in the back. My son's daycare happened to be closed that day, so we linked up with his godmother for lunch. As a mom of a child with allergies, finding solid vegan kid-friendly options is no small feat. We initially considered other spots, but nothing hit right until we found BurnBox in Kettering. It's located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking, and the minute we walked in, I noticed a sign offering a free Plain Jane pizza when you download their app. You already know I paused entry to grab that deal. The interior is bold and modern -- black, white, and red décor, floor lettering that reads "Good Vibes Only," and an open kitchen where you can watch your pizza being made fresh. The staff was friendly, greeted us immediately, and helped us with our order. We ordered the vegan "Plain Jane" for my son and "The Godfather" pizza for the adults. Total was $23.44 before tax/tip. I appreciated the extra touch -- once the pizzas were ready, we were asked if we wanted additional toppings. I added some Old Bay to ours and oregano to the vegan pizza. My toddler loved his pizza so much he prayed over it mid-bite and almost finished the whole thing. That says a lot! Midway through our meal, I decided to try the wings -- 8 wings for $11.49 (half buffalo, half honey lemon pepper). The buffalo wings were my favorite -- crispy, juicy, oven-baked, and flavorful without being drenched in sauce. The honey lemon pepper was more of a dry rub but still tasty.
