Best yet the manager who waited on me was very friendly and provided excellent service. He delivered my take out to my table. I liked the interior so will eat in next time. Service was fast. I've been coming to this location since they opened in 2021. I use their mobile app to order and pick up my food inside the restaurant. Ordering on the app is easy. If you sign up for their rewards program (it's free) you accrue points with every order, which are converted into $$$ off. They also have different deals and specials in app from time to time. The staff is welcoming and pleasant whenever I've been inside. Occasionally they have forgotten the cheese sauce I've paid extra for, but I now check the bag before I leave. The food is made to order. I've never received a bad sub or fries from here. I love their new cajun fries. My family opts for the regular Philly Cheeseteak. In the app you can customize exactly how you want your cheesesteak (you can also do that face to face inside). You can also get your cheeseteak with the seasoning on the steak. I've been going to Charley's in Bowie, MD, for a while now, but after today, I'm going to be more cautious. I ordered my usual Philly cheesesteak and, as usual, expected a solid meal. Instead, I got what was, without a doubt, the most disappointing sandwich I've ever eaten. First off, it wasn't even a Philly cheesesteak, it was a chicken steak. Who messes that up? If I wanted chicken, I would've gone to a fast food chain, not the notoriously famous Charley's, where they have the best Philly cheesesteaks in the country. I haven't eaten a cheesesteak for a very long time ago. It's not that l don't want.one, l crave grease like any one else. It's just hard to find as good cheesesteak. First off around here in the DMV we call the sandwich a Steak and Cheese. When l have tried it was a disappointment. So as a result l have not had a cheesesteak from Charley's this chopping up the meat until it is a greaseball of meat and fat. Ewe. How ever all is not lost l got fried Mozzarella sticks of which were nice and hot and boneless chicken wings (no such thing has ever existed) with blue cheese and coated with parm. Customer service is easily 5 stars and always upbeat and friendly . The 2 stars are based on my last couple orders . I've noticed the amount of steak on the cheesesteak hoagies is really lite , it doesn't cover the roll so the ends are just kinda dry . The portion of fries has been very small too and yesterday they weren't cooked all the way . When I got home I had to pop them in the toaster oven to complete the cooking . I wish I had opened the bag before I left . * Jersey Mikes makes a very good cheese steak hoagie too but this place is so much closer to my house . Charlie's philly steaks is new to the bowie area. This location is the old jimmy johns suite located next to Smoothie King. The staff are social and the restaurant is clean. The ordering process is pretty easy, the only thing I would change is the flow of how people line up to order due to covid guidelines. The track flow is really confusing at times. The food is fresh and cooked to order so no complaints. Charlie's runs different specials daily and weekly so that helps with attracting a large volume of customers. I mean I feel bad for smoothie king Charlie's is taking all the business lol I hope the momentum continues. Bowie has become the new food desert. Not a lot of options unless you drive to Crofton and that's not fair. I hear the town center is getting a make over. read more

They do not answer the phone at this Bowie location. Either they are too lazy to take phone orders or are too scared to hear constructive criticism, which is only going to hurt them in the long run because their regular steak and cheese is good. Do not order anything with the yellow cheese sauce. It is unbearably salty. I would have told the manager this instead of posting it here, but again, they do not answer their phones in Bowie, Maryland, at the Towm Center. A large number of black people live in this area, and high levels of salt intake are the number one contributor to health issues that lead to high blood pressure and other physical problems. Over salting food is a red flag for me in black communities. Fix the problem, please! read more

Charley's has decent steak & cheese subs and offer a good variety, ie: with bacon, various peppers, chicken-cheese subs. Their fries are also good and their wings okay. All in all, if you want a decent steak & cheese you can't go wrong here. It's kept clean inside and while the service isn't stellar, it's okay. read more

Hey it's Jo flavor with another review. The food is always hot and fresh. The lemonades are so refreshing I can't help but to get the largest size and the fries always taste really good. 10/4/21 my BFF and I stopped here for lunch we were super hungry. I've been in the town center a dozen of times and never thought to stop nor had the time after you saw a super long ass line out the door at times lol. So we went In it was really cool nice welcoming colors and you can see all your food made which I LOOOVE. I'm used to going to pentagon city mall so I'm praying they all taste the same and it did!!! The meat was very tender, the soft bread I ordered the chicken cheesesteak and my BFF ordered the steak and cheese with lemonades. I LOOOVE how the inside of the store is!! Terrible customer service experience with the cashier Mario, he had a terrible attitude and judged me for being vegetarian and not eating meat . My order came out messed up and i asked him to kindly fix it and he turned around gave me attitude again and told me to fix it with the cooks who prepared the sandwich. I was about to get Blaze pizza but saw Charleys and thought that'd be a better choice. I placed my order via the kiosk in the store. The wait was not too long so I happily went on my way. I'd ordered the shorty and eagerly opened it and started devouring it. 2 bites in I see a little black hair. Low and behold, it's 12 inches long. No idea how a hair drops on a sandwich and folds itself 3 times, but that's what I faced. As I'd already left the restaurant I chose to puke and throw away the sandwich. Instead of writing a review, I chose to just email customer service folks. They say 3 days to respond....well it's been 8 days. I will not ever return to a charleys as they really do not care about quality or their customers. Note: I'm old and gray so it wasn't my hair. The guy who handed me my sub did have long black hair. Not only did she fill my request of all flat wings (which were made with love) but after closing I went back to get ketchup but realized they were closed but she flagged me down and asked me what I needed. Truly disappointed with the quality of food from this fairly new location. Once I arrived to pick up my order that was placed through the app, I noticed my food was not with the other pick up orders. It was underneath of the counter, odd. I'm checking my food I noticed that is was cold, not even warm. Why isn't there a heated area for orders being picked up? Why was my lemonade made at the time my order was placed and not when I picked up the order? Now I have cold fries, cold and stale chicken cheese steak and a watered down lemonade. After taking about 2 bites of my sub I noticed a lot of gristle. A LOT OF GRISTLE. Let me also add I ordered a large sub, and if you are familiar with Charleys, you know that is a decent size. However most of my sub was inedible. Needless to say I will not be returning to this location and I'd never recommend this location . It's sad and frustrating that I have to leave my area in order to get better quality food and service. Also, I only gave one star because I had to, I wish I could give negative.
