I enjoyed Asada Grill. I ordered the whole fried tilapia with rice and plantains (it came with a salad too but I rarely eat rabbit food). I substituted the beans with the plantains and this was a great choice as the plantains were plentiful and delicious! The white rice was also sticky yumminess. The fish was a little on the salty side, but was otherwise good. The restaurant is small and clean. I am sure I will return to this Salvadoran/Peruvian restaurant. read more

These people are very rude don't know how to take an order with customer service while I was ordering food for my kids they answered the phone cut me off To take a order over the phone instead of putting them on hold and help customers in front of you. Upon their shenanigans, they gave us our food not fully cooked asada still bloody and a hair . Please don't waste your money Taqueria el Rey has way better food and are kind people , pay for a good meal and respect at that. Don't recommend this place to anyone! read more

The food is just ok, nothing special, unfortunately! The service is lacking, the last time we came here we said it would probably be our last try. The cashier is a bit rude. I understand we may not speak Spanish but you can see how differently they treat those that do speak Spanish! This location does seem to have plenty of regulars that the staff playfully interact with. It's never ok to make your customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The first time I was treated rudely I let it go, but once it happened when I sent my husband to pick up our order and then again while I was pregnant I had enough. I really enjoy authentic foods from all cultures it just saddens me that I cannot bring myself to patronize this location any longer. The inside of the restaurant gets a bit crowded, sometimes rowdy. After running around at Family Place to Play, we were searching for a restaurant that would accommodate our entire clan of 3 families with a total of 13 people (6 adults and 7 kids) on a Friday night in Waldorf. You're probably like Good Luck! Asados Grill (AG) came up in the search results on Yelp and my brother-in-law suggested we go to AG because he had been there before and liked it. He also felt that it was probably the best type of restaurant for our party. It turned out to be one of the best meals I had in Southern Maryland during my visit! - Parking - Private lot. - Vibe - At AG, you order at the counter, pay, sit down and bus your own table. It's bright with a simple decor and clean. It's very casual which was the perfect dining spot for our little circus! - TLC - The gentleman who was taking our order was such a nice man who took the time to answer all my questions and make recommendations when needed. He was very helpful and patient at every turn, when I went up to the counter multiple times to get random things. You can imagine how needy a party of 13 can be. The ladies who worked there were also very sweet. - Eats/Refreshments - Maranoñes (Cashew fruit) juice - This is juice from the fruit of a cashew tree. It is cloudy and light yellow in color. It was very different and I don't really know how to describe it or what to compare it to, but I loved it! Look up the fruit. It almost looks like a persimmon. Pupusa (pork and cheese) - My husband and I were curious about the pupusa and we went with the pork and cheese upon the man's recommendation. It's like a quesadilla made out of corn tortillas, stuffed with shredded pork and cheese, but there are no open edges. The seams are closed shut. It's almost like they stuffed it in a corn dough and then flattened it like a pancake. It is served with their version of a coleslaw and a salsa-like sauce. It was delicious. It would make a great kids meal too and super inexpensive. Pescado Frito (Whole Fried Tilapia) - I love tilapia, well, fish in general, but I was torn between the tilapia and the Lomo Saltado. When I told the man my dilemma, he said he had some nice and big tilapias that day and I was like SOLD! Warning: the fish is served whole, head and all. It was seasoned with their magical seasoning and they placed a few pieces of vegetables inside the fish and then it is deep fried. The skin was nice and crispy and the meat was cooked perfectly! It is served with rice, beans, salad (iceburg lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, avocado), choice of flour or corn tortillas and a grilled jalapeño (holy, it was spicy) which had a real nice char on it! It was so much food and at such a great price! Burrito (beef and chicken) - My husband ordered this and said it was good. I was too busy with my own plate that I forgot to taste his. It was a generous portion and he had enough for the next day. - Kiddos - They have a kids menu with the standard stuff, but most of the items are battered and deep fried. Both my kids chose the Chicken nuggets and one had a side of rice while the other had their fries which were big, chunky potato pieces rather than the regular fry cut. No complaints from the kiddos. They offer quite a variety of menu items and there seems to be something for everyone. Our group ordered a variety of things like tacos, asada salad, Burrito and we all left with a full belly without the pressure of fine dining with little kids! read more

I had my first dining experience at Asados picking up a quesadilla order during the COVID social distancing pandemic. After being inside for weeks, I called in the order when I was out on an essentials errand. I had been craving a really good quesadilla, and I didn't want one from a chain restaurant. After a quick Yelp surf, I decided Asados was going to be my spot! I knew I wanted one with peppers and onions, not just meat and cheese, so this place fit my criteria. I wasn't paying attention when I placed my order, so I actually wanted 1 steak and 1 shrimp, but they ended up making 2 steak & shrimp combined and they were actually really good!!! The steak is really tender and delicious, it almost reminded me of roast beef if that doesn't sound too weird. They come with salsa, sour cream and a spicy green sauce. Once you go and have authentic tacos, there is no way you can go back to a chain restaurant. I ordered some steak tacos, shrimp tacos and chicken tacos......MY GOODNESS. The shrimp taco was absolute MONEY! The perfect grill taste and the toppings (onions, and cilantro/lettuce) are the perfect compliment. The tortilla itself was so fresh! The Steak Taco was very good as well. And with their green sauce and lime, was so fresh. Their green sauce is very good and reminded me of the taste I get when I mix the green and mild sauce at El Pollo Rico in Arlington Va. (Who has the best green sauce to me!) The chicken taco was good, but probably was my least favorite. I was looking for the same grill smokiness like the shrimp, but it slightly missed the mark. Overall, it was a great experience. The staff was nice and the wait wasn't bad either. I will come back next time to try the Peruvian chicken and the Fajitas. But I know for sure that I will be back for the Tacos. SALUTE!! read more

Asados Grill is a true gem, and it is worth the flight to Waldorf to get. I tried this place one day after discovering that one of my favorite restaurants in the area closed. Though I was disappointed in that news, I was thrilled with this choice. I couldn't decide what to get, so I got what the person in front of me ordered, the chicken saltado. The saltado is a stir-fry dish placed on top of fries. It is superb. Another plus of this dish is that the serving size is massive​, so you will have plenty for the next day. This place is just down the street from Costco so we like to stop in after doing our shopping and it's always so good! They are always pretty busy but the service moves fast. The steak and shrimp quesadillas are SO good and big enough for two people to share. We usually share a quesadilla and an order of fried plantains, which are always nice and crispy and cooked perfectly. It's a small place and it seems like the popular thing to do is grab your food and sit in your car and eat it. Makes for good people watching too! The same wonderful and wide selection of cultural beverages are available for purchase. Jarritos anyone? CONS: 1. No automatic toppings or extra sauces, you have to ask for them. Don't know what they are? Tough. 2. "Extra" has been redefined. I excitedly ordered the chicken taco salad with EXTRA avocado based on another reviewers picture. While the salad was humongous, apparently it only comes with 2 small slices of avocado per new mgmt. Extra is 4 skinny slice's of avocado (per my pics). 3. Flavors are not as savory and it's not just a lack of salt. Those deep, complex flavor profiles are now a thing of the recent past. Tear. Even my husband's mixed meat quesadilla looked great but didn't have much taste. Presentation "A". Taste "D". 4. There's a "bit" of a language barrier with the new cashier and her English seems to be the best among the crew. 5. In a pandemic the state of their bathrooms are just unacceptable. There was obvious black mold in multiple places. Underneath the missing ceiling tile and on the surface of another tile. Toilet was SO disgusting, fecal spray and dried urine droplets on the seat. On top of all that there wasn't any place to hang a coat. I decided to just hold it :-/ It may be worth a visit for those who don't know what Latino food is supposed to taste like and aren't afraid of bathrooms that look like a crime scene, otherwise skip it. The meats? Excellent and super well seasoned. I had two steak tacos and asked them to put some of that glorious beef brisket on two more. Making tacos clearly isn't their strong suit. Single-shelled, milk toast warm tortilla, iceberg lettuce adorned and a few sprigs of cilantro and a cream sauce is hardly authentic. The quesadilla is LARGE... yet meh. The meat more than compensated for the lack of pico de gallo, radishes, and sliced jalapenos. This screams "carry out" due to the few little tables they have... and I do mean postage stamp-sized. I plan to just order (brisket) sandwiches next time and skip the taco adventure. Oh, and wanna try their rotisserie chicken too. The don't sell alcohol either, btw. They're meat gods. I never realized this place was here (its been here like a year now?) Saw it on Groupon, so made my purchase. (Its directly off 301, next to a liquor store. Home Depot and Lazy Boy are next door) It's very small, with 8 tables for 2. (There were several carry out orders during my visit, so Im guessing that is the bulk of their business) 3 people appeared to be working there and they greeted us when we came in. Grilled, chopped chicken that is marinated and served with onions, green peppers on a bed of rice and steak fries. On the side was a green sauce (cucumbery? & spicy) and a yellow sauce (mayo? and cooler) Anyway whatever the sauces, i liked them both. Im not much for fries but the marinade soaked into them and they tasted delicious. The rice was rice, which I generally avoid but this too tasted great with the marinade on it. (Next time I will ask for more veggies and to have them grilled longer) My husband picked the half chicken with fries and potato salad. (He's a basic meat and potato guy so I figured he would stick to something simple) The potato salad had a nice flavor and texture, even if it did have mustard in it (I usually prefer mayo only) but this was good. The chicken had nice flavor, not over whelming. They serve bottled water and can drinks. There wasn't any dessert choices so maybe they can add something like Tres Leches or Picarones (as it was, we stopped at Sonic for ice cream) Prices were decent and you got your moneys worth in portion sizes. So glad we stopped by to try this place. It was so good, we went back the next day! 1st visit- samples were offered to help in the decision making, but it didn't really help because everything was delicious! I decided on the Pollo Palliero (hope I spelled it right). Delicious chicken with 2 sides, which I got rice and potato salad...it's rare that I like potato salad that my mom didn't make...but their's was good! Also ordered the Chicken Quesidilla for my daughter, she love it. After sampling her food, I had to go back the next day for it! I was really in the mood for a burrito and found this place. The chicken burrito they gave me puts Chipotle to shame. This thing was HUGE!!! And idk how much it weighed, but it was the heaviest burrito I've ever held definitely worth $10. They also give you 3 different kinds of sauce: a green, spicy, creamy sauce; a white creamy sauce; and pico de gallo. Everything was so fresh, generous portions, and very nice staff. We had a great dinner here. We got the family platter for four, which had a whole fried fish, shrimp, whole roasted chicken, steak, grilled jalapeño, chicken breast with sides of rice and beans, salad, plantains, Coleslaw and yucca. Everything was great. The roast chicken and fish were perfectly cooked and well seasoned and fish skin was nice and crispy. Beans were good. Yucca was nice and crispy. Even the salad was well done, though simple. I would have liked to try some of the other items on the menu. They were under new management and the staff was very patient with us as we ordered. Passing through Waldorf and found this place. Good Spanish food. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and carne asada. Took pics halfway through eating lol. I came at 4pm on a Friday and it had two other customers. The food came quickly. I'd come here again. Only downside was there were a lot of bones in the chicken quesadilla and the pico de Gallo and sour cream serving size was small I had to ask for extra which they gave me for free. They have the best yucca in the area--crispy outside and soft inside. We had a previous favorite out in Gaithersburg but they stopped making it that way. This is just a tiny place with maybe 10 tables. Most of their business appears to be carry-out. We had a Groupon, and figured we'd give it a try. The staff was extremely friendly, offered us samples of a very yummy brisket, as well as their rice. They just started serving yuca as a side, and brought us some to try while we were eating our really fresh and yummy sandwiches.
