I substituted the beans with the plantains and this was a great choice as the plantains were plentiful and delicious! The white rice was also sticky yumminess. The first time, the tacos were served on homemade corn tortillas, and the second time they were served on store bought corn tortillas, but both were delicious. It seems a bit weird that they'd be served on different ones. Maybe they were out of homemade tortillas? They have "american style" tacos with cheese, sour cream, lettuce etc. or regular/Mexican/traditional with onions, cilantro, and salsa, so be sure to specify. The chicken in the papusa is amazing-- so moist and flavorful. I would come back and get the chicken if I wasn't so addicted to the tacos! Everything is so inexpensive! $2.50 for tacos!

For sides, French fries, yellow rice, black beans, plantain. Some Silvestre locations offer a few different menu items. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and French fries. The quesadilla came with a salad and sour cream but you can switch out the sour cream or salad for another side like rice or fries. Food came out so hot I had to wait for it to cool before eating it so that's a plus. Hot fresh French fries made me happy . And the cheese pull!!! Food was flavored just right. I do not like my food heavily salted but it did have perfect flavor. The home made sour cream was pretty good. Portion of food was very generous so unless you are starving you should have enough left over for another serving. They also have mild and hot sauces as well. You can add drinks like Everfresh and Calypso to your order or even rum cake. There are two small tables located inside but I wouldn't recommend eating in, there's a lot of traffic coming in and out and the place is pretty small. Parking is located directly in front. I'd recommend calling your order in if you're ordering after 5pm or on a weekend night.
