That crispy, slightly burnt caramelized cheese ring crust adds a smoky flavor you won't get elsewhere. Our server was an absolute gem and was so nice to talk to. I have been to both locations and this one is my favorite. This is the original location and it has such a cozy vibe. I love that this location is in a converted house, it's so cool! Anytime I'm in Chicago, this is a perfect spot. Pequods is just a good time all around. No matter what you get you will be happy! I can't wait to come back, this place is outstanding!

When we got there I saw that he was exactly right. This is right in the middle of a residential area and these people who can just open their front door and walk a few steps to some Pizza are living the dream. The building is pretty small for the amount of people that they squeeze in there. But they were extremely accommodating with us and squeezing in some extra people at our table, which was much appreciated. We had a reservation, which was 100% the right move for how busy this place gets. I had done some research on what their pizza was like so I wasn't surprised when I saw the crust, which some people might think is burnt but it is not. Instead it is caramelized. It was definitely interesting and unlike other versions of Chicago Deep Dish I have tried. The sauce was also quite good. If I'm being 100% honest, this wasn't my favorite Deep Dish I had while in Chicago but it was definitely in the top contenders.

The pizza was amazing from the sauce to the cheese to the perfect undercarriage. The cheese sticks were also very delicious and paired perfectly with the delicious marinara sauce. I absolutely recommend this spot to anyone and everyone! Take the trip of it isn't close! It's definitely worth it. I suggest trying the thin crust!

Thin crust for family parties--I still think about giardineira on pizza. I remember being very cognizant to clip those coupons off the box to turn them in for another pizza, even as a youngster. Stuffed pizza with mushrooms, onions, and Canadian Bacon for the house. Most recently, I ordered a gluten-free pizza to supplement the marching band's pizza night because one staff member is gluten free. I did not personally eat it so I cannot comment on it. I appreciate the initial discount you receive for signing up for an online account! The quiet eating space is tiny if you wanted to maybe eat a slice in there, but I have always taken my pizzas to go! My pizzas are always ready on time! Parking can be a little tricky at times, but it is not a dealbreaker.
