EVERYTHING I'VE ever ordered from here has been nothing short of amazing!!! The food is ALWAYS hot & fresh!!! I usually order my pizza's and beef & sausage sandwiches from here BUT I went outside the box this time and ordered a full slab of ribs and holy schnikeys!!!! These ribs are juicy, tender and flavorful!!! Add another meal to the list of awesomeness!!!! Everyone is pleasant & friendly!!! You've got a lifer for a customer here!!! Keep up the good work, guys & girls!!!

Note: I actually had 1 positive thing to say, but Yelp said I had too many words, so I am reducing. As soon as the food came to my door, there was a problem. The driver handed me the bag and started walking away. I asked him if he wanted me to pay. He wasn't sure what I was talking about. We ordered online, but they never charged us ahead of time. This was so unusual. Who doesn't charge ahead of the delivery these days. The driver had no idea and started to walk away without being paid. If I didn't say something my meal would have been free. Many people wouldn't see this as a major issue, but it shows me that the house/restaurant doesn't have good communication with their own delivery team.....and it leads in to other issues I had. Here's what we ordered: - Full Rack of ribs, with coleslaw and potatoes au gratin. - 6 piece chicken, with steak fries and soup - Dessert: 1 cheesecake and 1 tiramisu The menu online and the paper one I have at home says Fried Chicken or BBQ Chicken. We wanted fried chicken. Ordering from their website delivery menu, the options said broasted or BBQ chicken, so we assumed broasted was the fried. It was not. This place needs to get things organized. Which menu is right? FYI: their broasted chicken is not fried chicken. That should be fixed on their end. It wasn't fried chicken. It may have been baked, but it basically was chicken with bread crumbs, so once baked it has a sort of crust, but nothing like fried chicken. Here's where it got interesting for me. As I'm biting into my 1st piece of chicken, I realize there is something in my mouth that wasn't chicken or the fake crust. I pull it out of my mouth and see what looks like sting or plastic. You know when you buy a whole chicken or turkey and it has that netting or string wrapped around it intended to hold the whole thing together..... Yeah, that string was cooked into the chicken with a layer of fake crust cooked around it. So, basically they cooked the whole bird with some string around it, coated it with crumbs, baked it, and left the string. I was seriously grossed out and had a hard time eating any more. When I first opened the bag, the desserts were cold and on top, so that was the first thing I removed and put in the fridge. Looking at the menu, it's not clear if you are getting home made dessert or pre-packaged. Both the cheesecake and tiramisu were frozen, individually wrapped Eli's cheesecake cut from a larger box you can get from Costco or Sam's club. Hey, I'm ok with Eli's and it being frozen, but I could have just bought that from Costco and saved a bunch of money. I don't want to know I paid $3 for each dessert that you bought in bulk and just cut off the flavor we picked. You should advertise it that way. Instead, we were very upset and underwhelmed by the dessert. I mentioned the last meal of dessert to make a point when discussing other items. It is such a mess. Take the "homemade" potatoes au gratin says the menu. After what I've seen so far I really question if that was even homemade. It came in a small single use aluminum cooking tray. Looking at it it's possible it was also bought in bulk and we just got one of the tins. They never tell you what soup you are getting, so we'll call it the "Mugs Mystery Soup". Really nothing great. I wouldn't recommend it. Then the steak fries. While the fries were better than most of the order, they were not good compared to fries you get anywhere else. Tasted like they dumped them out of a bag onto a cooking tray and heated them up for me. Ribs. I have no idea how they can say best ribs in the northwest suburbs...... they aren't. Ok, it says voted best by Chicago Suburban times. How was this voted in? Where was the taste testing done? Who else was involved. I don't think you should advertise the best ribs when they really aren't. I can't say enough about how disappointed we were from this delivery. 1 last thing I'll say. We probably would never have ordered from Mugs, but just days earlier our neighbor got delivery from Mugs and we saw the delivery vehicle pull up with Mugs all over the car. That is basically free advertising and it got us to order. That is actually a good thing, but the conc5of a restaurant having their own delivery team is sort of yesteryear, or outdated. With UBER eats, GrubHub and so many more, why does anyone have their own delivery team. They need to hire someone that understands marketing, to get their menus updated and matching their online ordering process. A marketing person might also weigh out the benefits of using a delivery company as mentioned vs. using their own delivery drivers. I will not order from them again.

So funny the owner reinforced my review with showing what kind of person he is.

Absolutely disgusted by this place. The rudest staff and owner by far. This place has rolled down hill for years and now it's garbage. The pizza will make you sick but not as sick as the staff. I'll make it a point to tell my story to anyone with ears. Order torterices and save your money and a headache.

Chicken parm with spaghetti is super solid. Get it with their chicken soup. I swear they've got the best chicken soup ever. Delicious!

How can something that's already delicious get better?…read more Well that answer is to come to the original location and enjoy the delicious pizza where it all started! This is the best Chicago style pizza I've ever had hands down the flavors are there and I must say they don't just stop there as the crust is perfect super crispy flavorful and just too darn good! Combine that with the toppings cheese and sauce it's a pizza that you will start to crave again and again! We went with sausage, meatballs, and onions all of which were super yummy toppings that just hit the spot for this pie to make an incredibly delicious pizza like how can you go wrong! Or server was awesome she was super friendly and talked with us for a bit as we came in the morning she was telling us about Pequod's and her story of working there which was super cool as it made us feel like we were locals with that friendly vibe she put out, she also totally said you need some ranch for this pizza and then she went to get us some and I must say she was right it took something that was already over the top to a next level so shout out to her for saying that! Overall I'll be counting the days tell I get to come back here again for another delicious pizza and I definitely have to say that I really enjoyed this location more than the other one as this one was straight up lowkey in a neighborhood and the vibes just hit a lot harder!

Anytime I'm in Chicago, this is a perfect spot. Pequods is just a good time all around. No matter what you get you will be happy! I can't wait to come back, this place is outstanding!

The pizza was amazing from the sauce to the cheese to the perfect undercarriage. The cheese sticks were also very delicious and paired perfectly with the delicious marinara sauce. Tortortice's Pizza has been my family's go to pizza place since my formative pre-teen years…read more For years, I used to love ordering the panzarotti as a cheaper pizza alternative, but the price caught up to the pizzas! Thin crust for family parties--I still think about giardineira on pizza. I remember being very cognizant to clip those coupons off the box to turn them in for another pizza, even as a youngster. Stuffed pizza with mushrooms, onions, and Canadian Bacon for the house. Most recently, I ordered a gluten-free pizza to supplement the marching band's pizza night because one staff member is gluten free. I did not personally eat it so I cannot comment on it. I appreciate the initial discount you receive for signing up for an online account! The quiet eating space is tiny if you wanted to maybe eat a slice in there, but I have always taken my pizzas to go! My pizzas are always ready on time! Parking can be a little tricky at times, but it is not a dealbreaker.
