Has always been a favorite but today was a disappointment. We believe it's due to training a new cook. No ice in our drinks and the steak burrito was loaded with cold inexpensive ingredients such as lettuce, tomatoes and there was very little hot freshly cooked steak. My cheeseburger was just ok. If you are looking for consistency and decent food, Nacho's is the place for you. I have had nothing but good food here. The staff is very nice and create a welcoming atmosphere. This place has a little bit of everything. I haven't had anything that has personally blown me away, but all in all, you cannot go wrong with anything they offer. Located across from a high school be careful when you go, because they could have a line out the door. They have pizza by the slice - which is delicious. They have Gyros with a delicious tzatziki sauce. Their fries are a little underdone for my liking but they pair well with the Tzatziki sauce. I placed an order via Uber Eats, so I can only speak from that experience, but the restaurant had the food ready quick and my driver did not have to wait for it at all, so that's a plus. The service is prompt and friendly. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a mostly to-go establishment; however, it's reasonably clean. I haven't tried much from the menu, but they make the best gyro I've ever had! Their tzatziki sauce is also very very good and the meal is a great portion for the price. I always have enough leftovers for lunch the next day. My only note is that the fries are of the soggy variety. No matter how "well done" you ask for them to be cooked, they will still be very soft, because that's just the style that the fries are. Wow! Ordered the fall special for our office party. $129 for Italian beef with sweet and hot peppers on side, mostaccioli, Greek salad, and a mix of Greek and broasted chicken, and garlic bread. It was all amazing. The pasta had a lot of sauce so it wasn't dry, which usually is the case when getting a tray of pasta. The beef we put in a crock pot to warm and it was so flavorful and tender. Have a ton of au jus! Everything was so good and the whole office agreed! We will definitely be ordering this for our next party, and I'll start going there more often to eat! Nacho's has my favorite thin crust pizza, period. This, coming from someone who takes his Chicago-style thin crust pizza way too seriously. Sausage pizza especially is great. Pizza by the slice is kept pretty fresh and is available all the way through the evening. The late hours are appreciated. Hot dogs are great, Vienna Beef I believe, jumbo char dog available. Yum. Fresh cut fries are great. All in all, this is THE local fast food go-to for me. They have a wide variety of other staples on the menu, too. Went in on 10/21 at 11:55 am. Waited at register to place my order after about 3 minutes of waiting owner lady finally came up to register area and was about to take my order. Phone started to ring and she picked up the phone and motioned for me to wait while she took down the phone in order. When she got off the phone I told her that was ignorant of her and she should have put the call on hold until she took my order. She wanted to argue with me and I told her I did not want to argue, but what she did was wrong I told her I was not one of her high school patrons that have no idea what is right or wrong. I stumbled upon this small restaurant and the word pizza really got my attention since it has been a while since I ate pizza. There is ample parking even though it is just a small restaurant. The restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere feels nice and friendly. The staff are also polite, friendly, and accommodating. I thought their menu would be limited, but I was wrong because they have a wide variety of food options. I was alone, so I just basically got a pizza, particularly the pepperoni pizza. Like what I expected, the food was made to order, so I waited. I was so bored while waiting because I did not realize that it would take longer. The restaurant is also quite busy, so all the more reason for the food to take longer. I had some time to observe their menu while waiting for the food, and I realized that they really do have a nice option on their menu and that the prices are all fair and reasonable. Finally, my order came, and I could not wait to taste it. The excitement and wait for the food were well worth it because the pizza was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the portion was enormous. We've eaten here many times before. The fries have always been a bit off but the food was decent then. Last week.... 68.00 worth of gross. The gyros were not fresh cut off the spit. They had been pre-cut and super dehydrated. The flavor was absolutely gone. The pita was old, stale, and cold. I'm not sure it was ever heated up. The "fresh cut fries" were so old they might have been from the day before. They were floppy, cold, and tasted like crap. The chicken nuggets were rock hard. They were either fried for waaayyyyyy too long or refried. The hot dog was fine. I was sick and grossed out. I've worked in many restaurants and from the way the food tasted and looked I can only imagine what their walk in freezer looks like. Probably a used food city. Not one person in my family of 6 ate their whole meal. We didn't even keep the leftovers. Everything went straight into the garbage. Never again. We found hair in our food and when we ask for a replacement while in the restaurant the cook became aggressive and verbally abusive. OK, this is a tough one. If you are looking strictly at the food side, I would give 4 stars but if you are like me and look at the overall experience then it's 3 stars...with room to grow. Having just opened in the past couple weeks, this place replaces the local favorite, JK's. It stands on the corner of Hintz and Elmhurst, kiddie corner to the Wheeling High School. I went here the other day to finally try what they are supposedly going to be known for, PIZZA! I tried 2 slices, a plain cheese and a pepperoni. I must say the cheese slice was outstanding, damn near a 5 star. The pepperoni was good but not great, 3 1/2 stars. The price for a slice is $3 and with it being a large slice not a bad value. A few days later my family wanted to try their pizza so we ordered an XXL family size. They really liked it a lot. Once again I agreed with them. The only criticism I had with their family pizza is that we ordered bacon on it and a few pieces were a little less than crispy, soft & fatty. As the wife says, need to firm that up. They also offer decent coupons, so take advantage. So as far as the food goes, so far it's been very good. Now for a little bit of the bad. They've only been open for a couple weeks and the area behind the counter looked a little dirty to me. Now maybe they do a great job of cleaning each night or morning and this is just the results of having a busy day. They seem to be a little slow and the lady at the register is either slow or confused. Too long to get 3-4 people through the line. Hopefully that will improve with time and experience. When I ordered the family pizza to be delivered, well this is where the stars start to drop. I used the coupon that offered a discount on a n x-large pizza with 2 toppings, a free bottle of soda and free delivery. Great, what a deal! The pizza was to be delivered in 30-45 minutes. Well it took 1:15. The driver could not find our building even though he was in our parking lot. When he got to the building, instead of ringing the bell he called on his cell and we had to go down anfd get it. Finally, he did not give us our free bottle of soda. I will definitely be going back to try other items as well as the pizza and maybe with more experience they will get better. If so, stars will go up. But for God's sake at least get a more competent delivery driver. read more

Can I send this back?? Seriously???? A couple months ago I ordered a Grecian Chicken on a Pita.... it was super yummy, Taziki sauce, juicy chicken, warm pita... YUM. Today I had a taste for it, so I go in and search the menu and all I saw was Chicken Gyro, ok that sounds right.... WRONG!! I waited a good 10 minutes while the counter girl and the cook played slap and tickle while slowly preparing my order. I finally got my order and rushed back to the office... only to find the grossest thing I have ever been served. Formed flavorless chicken shaved of a spit, gyro style... on a pita with lettuce, tomato.... and some sort of gelatinous mustard colored goop. I mean what the Hell is that??? Take that crap OFF your menu... no one wants that... NO ONE! Go back to the Grecian Chicken on a Pita... it was actually good. When I read in other reviews that they make their own Italian beef in house, I had to give it a try. I don't live far away but had never tried this place because from the signage, it seemed like they were trying to do too many things at once. My experience has been that when places do that, they end up not excelling at any one thing. I recently saw the same thing down the street at Skippers where they are trying to be a hot dog place that also serves Greek and Mexican dishes. I understand catering to your clientele and also capitalizing on the skills that your staff bring. This may be the case here as well, but I don't know having only tried the beef and fries. I do have to say that everything else on the menu looked good as well. The menu has a bit of everything from pizza to tacos to fried perch to Italian dishes. As for the beef, it was really good! Homemade and definitely not bland. It was extremely flavorful without being spicy. The bread was good and the fries were just the way I like them. Interesting mix of high school kids, local workers, and others. The staff seemed to be working really hard and took pride in their work. The small seating area was clean. The food at Nachos is probably some of the best around of it's kind! Great beef sandwiches, awesome cheese fries ( they actually pour the cheese on the fries) and the pizza is as close to New York that I have tasted in the 15 years I've been here. If we were only basing this review on food, it would be 5 stars. Where Nachos ruins it is that they are pricing themselves out of the neighborhood. That corner has turned over owners several times and if Nacho doesn't lower his prices we are worried the same will happen to him.
